CeeCee / Trixie - The Hextech Engineer - Champion Concept Revamp

CeeCee is a champion concept originally created by Riot - whom I give full credit too for the champion concept art and initial idea of Hextech Engineer - that was discarded due to complications in development and was later made into champions such a Vi and Braum, which was brought to my attention by Jeremy Gaming Curios. I really found the concept of a Hextech Engineer interesting and so does Riot still, which is why I decided to create my own Champion Concept of her based on what was already given to me by Riots concept art and by notes made by Jeremy Gaming Curios. My idea is that CeeCee/Trixie - Trixie is my name for her would Riot like to rename her as Jeremy stated in his video, which I will leave a link to below - is an AP Melee Mid Laner who could also support due to her ultimate and her stun on her Q. The concept art behind her was created by Riot to my knowledge and my idea of her is similar other than the fact that the shield she holds here is instead replaced by a HexTech Spanner. I will get more into her backstory, personality and who she works well with and who she does not do well against later. First lets look at her abilities.

Passive - Mechanical Marvel

CeeCee is manaless and instead has a resource called "Scrap Metal". This "Scrap Metal" is not used to fuel her abilities (meaning her abilities dont have costs) but are used in a new mechanic; called Mechanical Enhancement. CeeCees maximum amount of Scrap Metal she can hold at one time is 6 pieces. Once CeeCee has 3 pieces of Scrap Metal she can Enhance a friendly melee or caster minion in her lane giving it bonus stats (health, damage, armor, magic resist etc). If she has 6 pieces of Scrap Metal then she can enhance a friendly cannon or siege minion doubling its stats instead.

CeeCee obtains Scrap Metal by hitting towers (30 second cooldown), Killing Champions or Epic Monsters, or by killing an enemy minion that has randomly spawned with a piece of Scrap Metal attached to it (There is one minion per wave that has a piece of Scrap Metal attached to it, the scrap metal will only drop if CeeCee kills that minion or has contributed to the death of that minion). When hitting towers Scrap Metal will automatically magnetize to her, but when killing champions, epic monsters or minions the scrap metal will instead drop in the place here it died. Enemy Champions can pick up Scrap Metal dropped by minions, epic monsters and other enemy champions before CeeCee disallowing her from being able to obtain the Scrap Metal.

CeeCee also gains bonus armor based on how much Scrap Metal she has stored currently.

Q - Spanner in the Works

Active : CeeCee hurls her Hextech Spanner forward dealing damage to all enemies hit and stopping at the first champion hit, slowing them then bouncing back to her. If CeeCee has 6 pieces of Scrap Metal her Spanner becomes cumbersome instead stunning the first enemy champion hit.

W - Nuts and Bolts

Passive : CeeCee gains bonus on hit magic damage based on how many pieces of Scrap Metal she currently has.

Active : CeeCee throws a homemade grenade infused with hextech magic at a target location which then explodes into an array of colourful,glowing wires, nuts, bolts and screws, damaging enemies hit and slowing them. If CeeCee has 6 pieces of Scrap Metal her homemade bomb becomes improved and deals 150% damage and slows by an extra 10%.

E - Hip-Hop-Spanner

Active : CeeCee channels then hops onto her Hextech Spanner and proceeds to bounce up and down on it, increasing her movement speed greatly for as long as she remains on her Spanner. While she is on her Spanner she cannot attack or use abilities. She can be knocked off of her Spanner by being attacked by enemy champions or epic monsters and can choose to get off by attempting to use another ability or by trying to attack an enemy target. Once she leaps off of her Spanner it becomes hyper allowing her auto attacks to do additional damage for a short time but putting this ability on cool down for a long duration. If CeeCee has 6 pieces of Scrap Metal when she activates this ability she instead gains double movement speed.

R - Ultimate - GENIUS!!!!!

Passive : CeeCee gains a piece of Scrap Metal every 60/45/30 seconds.

Active : CeeCee conjures all of her Mechanical Expertise at this very moment in time. She leaps in excitement, instantly transforming all nearby minions into Enhanced Minions and giving them and teammates around her bonus movespeed. She gains infinite Scrap Metal and increased health, ability power and movement speed for the duration of the ability. She also gains permanent ability power depending on how many nearby minions she enhanced due to gaining more knowledge on her mechanical skill and a better understanding of mechanical engineering. Once the ability ends her Scrap Metal is fully depleted no matter how much Scrap Metal she had before using the ability.

Backstory : If there are materials around, I bet I can make something out of them - CeeCee

CeeCee is an orphaned teenager of Piltover, her parents disappeared after a mysterious incident involving A girl with pigtails, cupcakes and yelling, lots of yelling. However this didnt really bother CeeCee for some reason, she had a strange curiosity for things which took her mind off of her parents disappearance. She quickly found residence in a rusty abandoned shack on the outskirts of Piltover. She settled in thanks to the various materials she found there. There were screws and bolts and tools and sheets of metal and wood just lying around in the abandoned shack. She spent most of her days building useless junk, toys and various other contraptions to entertain her. This almost drove her to insanity because she could never make anything of definite use because of the lack of materials she had until one day she stumbled upon something quite peculiar and extremely powerful. She was fiddling about with one of her jack-in-the-box contraptions when it springed open suddenly, she jilted backwards and fell through a hidden door. It appeared to her that this abandoned shack was instead the hiding place for someones belongings or something very powerful. In the basement she found a glowing object, upon examination she realised it was a hextech core, a piece of hextech machinery that was a limitless fuel source. This gave her many wonderous ideas on what she could do with it, restoring some of her sanity, and filling her mind with wisdom. She began her work immediately, and only using the metal, screws and hextech core she had was she able to create her best invention : The Hextech Spanner. Her new invention allowed her to make even more advanced inventions, due to the power supplied by the hextech core, she built armor for herself, made various useful contraptions and even further customized her Spanner so that she could ride it! With all these wonderous new inventions, she had a genius and exciting idea, travel to Piltover and share her inventions with all, and maybe even find her parents too!

Personality : How about you go back to doing what ever boring job you do, and I will go back to being amazing! - CeeCee

CeeCee is a very bright and bubbly girl, who can also be quite crazy and mischievous, but is a genius no doubt. She is very confident but also arrogant and sarcastic often throwing in quirky "one-liners" whenever she makes a new invention for someone or does something of any measure of spectacle. She is so sarcastic in fact that even when she is hurt she wont hesitate to make some sort of remark or joke about the matter! She is always smiling and is never afraid to go head first into danger or adventure!

Gameplay : CeeCee is an AP Melee mid laner who can also work well as a support due to her push potential with enhanced minions, her cc in her Q and her ultimate buff. CeeCee is a diverse champion with abilities and mechanics that offer her multiple choices in a fight and give her power if she uses her abilities correctly, but also give her enemies significant and strategic ways to counter her. For example her Passive involving her resource Scrap Metal is rewarding for her and a form of counter play for her enemies : When a minion drops a piece of Scrap Metal it will drop at their point of death, which gives both CeeCee and her lane opponent significant options. CeeCee can retrieve the Scrap Metal and increase her resource bringing her closer to being able to Enhance her minions or bringing her closer to her abilities doing more damage and having more utility. However her enemies can retrieve the piece disallowing CeeCee from becoming stronger and being able to push more, or they could wait for CeeCee to go to retrieve the Scrap Metal and then attack her because the enemies can see where the Scrap Metal is so they can attack at that location. This means that CeeCee will have to strategically work her way around her enemies and minions to gain Scrap Metal without taking significant damage from her lane opponent, so that she can become more powerful. This rewarding and harmful to CeeCee, if she can retrieve the Scrap Metal she becomes more powerful but there is a risk that the opponent will get the Scrap Metal or that she will be hit by a barrage of attacks when retrieving it which means that she has to think strategically about retrieving the Scrap Metal and how her opponents will react when she retrieves it. Opponents have various ways to counterplay CeeCee and halt her increase of power, which she inevitably gets due to the passive on her ultimate - which means she can use her passive at least once during the game! - which opponents can then decide how to work around due to indicators below her health bar and knowledge on what she can do with her Scrap Metal.

CeeCee is also an excellent split pusher due to her enhancements on ally minions. This works especially well in the support role because she can build items like ZzRot and Banner of Command to push further and to further increase the power of minions in her lane. With her ultimate she can further split push because it gives a massive power spike to minions in her lane.

CeeCees passive allows her to take two different strategic routes in battle, she can either keep her Scrap Metal doing more damage and gaining enhanced abilities or she can use her Scrap Metal to enhance minions and siege enemy towers. This gives CeeCee many ways to win her lane as she has two different ways to beat her opponent, she can either deal more damage with stored Scrap Metal at the cost of having reduced pushing power or she can push down towers quickly with enhanced minions at the cost of reduced power. However if CeeCee has her ultimate she can have both damage and pushing power for a limited time which gives the people playing CeeCee a feeling of usefulness and satisfaction being able to pummel down towers and enemy champions.

She has a clear indicator below her health bar that shows how much Scrap Metal she has so that her teammates know what she is currently capable of and so that her enemies know when to watch out for her abilities having additional effects or when CeeCees minions become stronger.

CeeCees passive doesnt fall off in the late game either because when inhibitors are taken down her team gains considerable pushing power and CeeCee can even enhance Siege Minions which gives her lane a massive amount of pushing power! However if her inhibitors are gone she can defend quite well too, making enhanced minions to fight incoming empowered minions, and enhancing cannon minions to take on siege minions.

CeeCees increased pushing power also can be countered in a different way : Ganking. If CeeCee is pushed all the way up to the enemy tower it gives her opponents the opportunity to sneak up behind her and defeat her. This means that CeeCee needs to have good vision and map aware or a plan to escape should she be ganked.

Champions she works well with :

Sivir - Sivir can already push extremely well thanks to her ricochet, boomerang blade and ultimate : On the Hunt. If you pair her with CeeCee then pushing becomes a whole ton easier. With CeeCee's ability to enhance an entire wave of minions and speed them up and Sivirs ability to speed them up further, CeeCee and Sivir will annihilate towers and enemy waves of minions.

Nami - Namis speed up in her passive can seriously help CeeCee when she attempts to retrieve Scrap Metal. The speed boost given by Nami means that CeeCee can get her precious Scrap Metal with reduced risk of being attacked by lane opponents because she can be in and out before the enemy has a chance to attack. Namis healing and peel potential also gives CeeCee a good chance of escaping should she be ganked when trying to push down towers.

Annie - Annies Crowd Control in lane and Tibbers means a whole lot of trouble for CeeCee's lane opponents. The crowd control from Annie means CeeCee can retrieve her Scrap Metal in piece and Tibbers adds more pushing power to the combination of Annie and CeeCee as it can do considerable damage to towers and tank for CeeCees enhanced minions while they shred the tower.

Champions who work well against her :

Ahri - When CeeCee goes to retrieve her Scrap Metal, it gives Ahri a clear view of where CeeCee will go giving her the advantage of being able to land a clear full combo with a charm in the direction CeeCee is heading to get her Scrap Metal. Also Ahris enhanced mobility in her ultimate and general wave clear makes it hard for CeeCee to land abilities on her and get to her Scrap Metal before Ahri does and her enhanced minions cant quite make it to towers to destroy them without being killed by Ahri first.

Leblanc - Leblanc is a powerhouse in mid lane and her quick burst damage proves difficult for CeeCee. Because of the clear indicator on the ground of where Scrap Metal is, Leblanc knows exactly where to strike her target for a quick burst combo. Her mobility in her W and Ultimate also proves difficult when CeeCee is trying to land her skill shots.

Thresh - Threshs Crowd Control makes it a nightmare for CeeCee trying to obtain her Scrap Metal, if Thresh can flay or grab CeeCee away from her Scrap Metal long enough so he can get it, then it puts a serious halt in CeeCees power and pushing potential. Also with CeeCees lack of mobility it makes it hard for her to escape the wide variety of Crowd Control Thresh has.
