Davis, the Combat Medic
Description: After playing an old rpg flash game called Sonny, including the second one (If only there was a third one), there was a character that the protagonist travels with named Veradux. Veradux was using Stolen ZPCI medical equipment and Sonny aided him when the two first met. In the story, he's kept his armor and rifle for awhile (Even though you change what he wears throughout each game, he always starts with the ZPCI medical armor at the beginning of each game). The fact that he's the healer in the game, it intrigues me that characters like him rarely appear in these rpg's. Most healers are mages and mostly women. For this concept, I wanted to make a technical healer, primarily a support gunner class named Davis. Here's the details.
Stats: Attacks - 20% Health - 40% Magic - 90% Difficulty - 30%
Attributes: Primary - Support Secondary - Mage
Abilities: Passive - Blood Sampling Davis has a secondary bar, a blood bar. This bar contains blood that's been extracted from each of Davis's auto attacks (5 blood per shot). When Davis is out of combat, the remaining blood contained will heal Davis overtime. Blood is also required for casting other abilities. Davis can contain a total of 100 blood and able to contain 100 more every 6th levels after level 6 (up to 300 max).
First Ability - Lethal Injection Rounds
- Requires 30 blood
- Davis extracts the blood he contains to us them by injecting poison into the extracted sample, firing them at the selected target and deals magic damage overtime for 3 seconds. The poisoned blood sample is airborne infectious. Enemies near the target will also take magic damage overtime. The amount of damage they take increase the closer they are to the main target. Davis cannot extract blood from targets who are affected by Lethal Injection Rounds.
Second Ability - Enhanced Immunity Systems
- Require 50 blood
- Davis heals a selected ally, recovering their health and removes all single target effects. For the next second, the target is immune to all other single target effects, except for ultimates. Davis can cast this on himself but it will only heal him for half the amount.
Third Ability - Adrenaline Rush
- Requires 40 blood
- Davis can inject adrenaline in himself or the selected ally, gaining 10% movement, attack speed, and tenacity for the next 5 seconds. The selected target is also immune to 10% incoming damage and gains 10% more healing from all sources (except ultimates) for those next 5 seconds. Davis only gains half the adrenaline buff if he uses it on himself.
Ultimate - High Voltage Taser Shot
- Requires 100 Blood
- If used on an ally, the ally is able to deal 10% more magic and physical damage. The target ally is also surrounded by a high voltage shield which shocks and deals magic damage to very close enemies. The shield also reflects 20% of the enemy's melee attacks as magic damage (Not just auto attacks)
- If used on an enemy, The target takes magic damage and is stunned for 1 second. Afterwards, the target's buffs including runes are disabled for the next 5 seconds (It can disable runes from jungles, including baron buff but it will not remove them. It will only disable them temporarily as it continues to expire).
- High Voltage Taser Shot can also revive allies by high voltage defibrillation, giving the revived ally 25% of their total health back and immune to incoming damages for the next 2 seconds. The revived ally, however, cannot attack or uses abilities and items during those two seconds. (It's going to be complicated to program the game to allow you to target dead allies but I'm sure any game developer will have the tech to program this feature)
Special Passive - Additional Blood Sample
Davis gains 10% bonus blood samples from auto attacking
and
, and can steal 10% blood by attacking
Synergy:
Works Well With -
As another healer, Davis is able to keep the rest of his team alive all thanks to the support from Soraka whom is also able to keep alive simply by giving her the Enhanced Immunity System for when she steals health from enemy champions.
Similar case to Soraka, Enhanced Immunity System will also enable Vladmir to steal more blood than how much he uses with his attacks.
These two can work together in keep their teammates alive by either reviving one ally twice or reviving two allies at once. Include
into the mix and you got yourself an unkillable combo. As the saying goes, Can't Killean the Zilean.
Struggle Against -
Malzahar is able to silence Davis using his Call of the Void. With Davis being silenced, Malzahar can take advantage of him with the Malefic Vision and Enhanced Immunity System does not stop Malzahar's suppressing Nether Grasp. The damage coming from Malefic Vision makes it difficult for Davis to recover health from the blood he samples from his foes, in other words, this makes it hard for Davis to do his job and Davis finds it annoying that people, especially him get hurt on a daily basis, as if Trench Feet wasn't enough.
Ninjas are Davis's most annoying enemies. They come in, cut up, and go away leaving behind a blood mess for Davis to clean up. Death Mark will not be disabled by Enhanced Immunity since it's an ultimate. It deals tons of damage and makes it difficult for Davis to recover health or heal up his allies. It annoys Davis even more that he can't get a good shot at Zed, only ending up shooting his shadows.
Special Delivery deals true damage to multiple targets overtime and his auto attacks deal 10% total bonus damage. Enhanced Immunity System and Adrenaline Rush won't help the fact that the pilot has more where that came from. By dealing tons of damage, it's hard for Davis to keep up. Being shot by Missile Barrage constantly isn't any better, especially the big one. There's no way an Adrenaline could resist rockets coming at you constantly.
Tips: Playing as Davis -
- Be selective when you use High Voltage Taser Shot. You can only cast it once. Prioritize reviving valuable teammates so you can outnumber the enemy team. Keep your recovered patient well protected. You can use other abilities to help them out.
- Use Adrenaline Rush first so that Enhanced Immunity System can heal even more health.
- Use Lethal Injection Rounds to finish off fleeing targets, mainly ones that are crowded. You'll be able to take out multiple targets at once.
- To extract more blood, try building attack speed. The more blood you recover, the more effective you are in many situations. Playing against Davis -
- Davis is more of a team fighter than a solo fighter so he's much easier to fight against one on one.
- Ignore the revived enemy and focus on attacking Davis. Attack Davis as he attempts to revive or buff an ally, or stun your teammates.
- Davis is completely defenseless without blood samples. Take this opportunity to take him out as soon as you can. He is your number one target.
- Do not stack your buffs until Davis has used up his ultimate.
Lore: Davis was just a doctor working in Piltover. His jobs were usually performing minor surgeries, prescribing medicine, and advising his patience. The advising part is mostly done through Davis's annoyance. Most of his patience he treats nowadays are reckless and incompetent, resulting in actions that have them lose parts of their body, leading to Davis giving honest opinions about their actions. Davis was well respected among his colleagues including his bosses and employers. They can see where he's coming from and understand how annoyed he feels about working as a doctor for some of the most dumbest patience he's ever encountered. The worse patience he would ever treat are the ones who refuse to heed his warnings and end up getting hurt again. It pains Davis to say that he can't catch a break, although the job does bring a good pay.
Speaking of catching a break, things started to get even worse for Davis.
Because his work is well known all across Piltover's allied city, Demacia, he was being hired by the Demacian military for emergency treatment for soldiers who have returned from the battlefield. Davis has got a lot of work to do and too many patience to treat.
It doesn't stop there. One day, there was an emergency sortie. Davis had to continue his work in the battlefield, taking part in the battle between Demacia and Noxus. Davis took role as the combat medic and personal care taker for the king, Jarvan. During the operation against Noxus, Davis and the guards were attacked by a large figure wielding a heavy axe. Davis knew at that point that he was screwed. Then king Jarvan told Davis to hold back and hide in the trenches. He needed his men alive more than they needed him alive. Davis knew he would get in trouble for ditching the king but seeing how much he's been through, it didn't matter to him anymore. This was the worst day of his life.
He eventually learned of the king's death. But he cannot retreat due to the fact that he was surrounded. This lead to Davis being stuck in the trenches for weeks. Demacian forces and Noxian forces were still fighting. Demacian soldiers ended up falling into the trenches and keep calling Davis for help.
One day, Davis was feeling discomfort on his feet. Eventually the battle was over and the Demacians had to return home. Davis was escorted by guards. He was still feeling painful discomfort on his feet. He went to a medical camp, removing his shoes and learned that he had a bad case of trench feet. According to his research, trenchfoot is caused by the soaking of the feet, followed by bacteria and infection packing within the moisture. The result was a dead feet. He reported this to other medical workers in the camp and requested that they get his feet amputated.
Demacian superiors learned of Davis's condition and had him returned to Piltover as soon as possible. Davis along the way home looked nothing more than annoyed and angered at the miserable life he experienced. He actually missed his dumb patience. He didn't like being a doctor but his parents insisted that he does so for the money. In the end, he's treating it as a common nuisance. At least when he gets back, he'll get prosthetic legs.
But something surprising happened when he was in the hospital. He was visited by short stature figure with a golden mustache. A yordle Scientist and scholar from the Yordle academy, the Revered Inventor himself. He was fascinated at Davis's work as a combat medic and wanted to help him make his job easier by providing better biotech for his conditions. He provided Davis prosthetic legs and not just any legs, they were like iron boots, giving him better durability across terrain. Not only that but he also provided him with an experiment he was working on. It's a weapon that can not only fight enemies but aid allies as well. Offensive-Defensive Hybrid Combat Rifle made to extract blood from foes and enhance them to make use of for healing allies. Davis thought this meant getting back in the battlefield with more difficult work. At least he had some rest.
But after his stay in the hospital, and during his deployment, he was surprised to find that whatever the scientist provided, it made his job a lot easier. With a gun like this, Davis is able to heal people a lot faster. Not only that but he can get rid of people who cause trouble in his work. But it was mostly useful for the benefit of healing others. He would have enjoyed it more if it was made better for combat. But still, at least he was able to enjoy the use of this experiment. Maybe something good will happen to him later on.
Then Davis gulps when he finds out that he's going to be another competitor in the League of Legends. He was nervous. This meant fighting even more fearsome foes. It could either mean the hardest job yet, or the easiest. It all depends on him.
"Try not to hurt yourself," - Davis's motto
Appearance: Davis is equipped with combat medical armor made from Piltover, armed with a combat rifle that has a blood container underneath. It's magic powered too so it can fire endlessly. Due to his experience with Trench Feet, he's got iron feet that look like iron boots. You can tell from his lore that he's easy to annoy when you hurt him or his patience. He only wants his job to be easy.
Here's the picture of Veradux. Shouts out to the creator of this game by the way. I wish he was able to make the third one.
This one's from the first Sonny: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/sonny/images/7/74/S1C_veradux.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/200?cb=20150626082327

The pictures however are too futuristic but Davis does where a Combat Medic battle armor, but it's built out of Hextechnology from Piltover.

What a long post. Well, that's all I have for now. I could add more later. I just need suggestions for improvement and I hope you like the concept. Got any ideas, just let me know.
