[Champion Concept] Vytag, the Missionary of the Void (Version 2)
This is the new version of my champion, Vytag, that I have finished updating after receiving some enlightening feedback. I hope to solidify her identity as a control/support mage, instead of the rather boring push mage she became originally. This is an abilities only update, so I will only be laying out her abilities and my thoughts about them. I will be using arrows (the --> symbol) to show how something scales. Most will be by rank, but in the absence of rank (such as for the passive) it will be by level. Just to make sure that is absolutely clear. I greatly appreciate any feedback, for any versions of the champion. Please leave any thoughts, ideas, and anything else you have to say about my versions in the comments below. I read them all! If I missed anything, please point it out and I'll edit it.
Passive:
Using a basic ability creates a zone of Corrupted ground around Vytag at the time of casting, with a radius of 300 --> 600 and a duration of 180 seconds (which is increased by half of Vytag's cooldown reduction). While she is standing on Corrupted ground, Vytag gains +50% base health regeneration and 6 --> 48 Ability Power.
Vytag's basic abilities cost 3% of her maximum health when cast while she is on Corrupted ground. This health is not taken from any shielding she possesses at the time of casting, and she is prevented from casting any abilities until she is able to expend the required health and still live (she cannot kill herself by using her abilities).
Casting a basic ability generates a shield for Vytag equal to 2% of her maximum health, with a maximum shield equal to 6% --> 18% of her maximum health (+1.5% per 100 item AP). These shields decay when out of combat for 15 seconds (similar to the
Bloodthirster shield decay).

When cast, this ability deals 50 --> 250 (+60% AP) magic damage to target enemy creature. If this kills the target, Vytag gains a buff that enhances the next basic ability she uses:
Blood Rites: An additional zone of Corrupted ground spawns at the target and hungers for blood. That section of Corrupted ground starts to consume living flesh 0.5 seconds after an enemy champion enters the area, slowing all enemy creatures in the area by 20% and dealing 60% of Vytag's AP as magic damage over three seconds. The zone can remain dormant for 60 seconds before the sacrifice loses its value and the zone becomes normal Corrupted ground again. Up to 3 dormant zones can be on the field at once, with the oldest being lost if a new one is created when all three are active.
Volatile Earth: After the knockback, the area is left unstable and will detonate again (with no knockback) for full damage one second after an enemy steps on it. The area will remain unstable for 60 seconds before it settles and becomes normal once more. Up to 3 unstable zones can be on the field at once, with the oldest being lost if a new one is created when all three are active.
Tainted Power: Adds 2% of her maximum health per second as a shield instead of 1%, and adds an additional 1 --> 3 Ability Power per second to the amount listed in Tainted Power. The additional AP scales with Vytag's Q. The buff is otherwise the same.
W: Volatile Earth
Cost: 65 --> 90 Mana
Cooldown: 14 --> 9 seconds
Range: Point and click (ground target), 0.25 second cast time, approximately 700 (not 100% sure about it, might need to be changed)
Area of Effect: Moderate (approximately as large as a
Bard ultimate)
When cast, this ability causes the target area to begin slowing enemy creatures by 20% increasing to 50% over 2 seconds (2 second total duration). At the end of this time the earth erupts, knocking all enemy creatures to the edge of the area and dealing 75 --> 275 (+40% AP) magic damage to all affected targets. The targeted area is left Corrupted at the end of the duration. This knockback/knock up (like a blast cone plant, just weaker) is enough to push champions over walls, but likely only the thinnest ones due to the size of the area.
E: Tainted Power Cost: 50 Mana plus 5 --> 15 Mana per second Cooldown: 25 --> 17 seconds (after deactivation) Range: Personal, instant Maximum Duration: 20 seconds Minimum Duration: 1 second Tainted Power also costs 1% of Vytag's maximum health per second. This additional health damage does not grant Vytag shielding and the constant mana cost of this ability does not create Corrupted ground every second, but the activation of this ability still applies the passive as normal.
Each second Tainted Power is active, Vytag gains a buff to Ability Power as well as gaining a shield equal to 1% of her maximum health. This buff will stack up until Tainted Power is deactivated and last for 5 seconds before it is lost. The buff to Vytag's Ability Power is equal to 5 --> 15 plus 1 per 500 bonus item health.
R: Compounded Suffering Cost: 0 Mana (first active), 100 Mana (second active) Cooldown: 1 second (starts when the channel ends; first active), 100 --> 70 seconds (second active) Range: Close, single target (approximately 350 radius; first active); Personal (second active) Area of Effect: None (first active), Moderate (approximately 700 radius) and Small (approximately 300 radius) (second active)
Passive: Enemy champions and Epic Monsters that die near Vytag leave a spirit behind, slowly disappearing over 5 seconds. Consumed spirits grant Vytag 50 --> 150 bonus health, stacking up to 5 times. 3 stacks are lost upon death.
First active: Channel for two seconds, targeting a nearby spirit left by her ultimate's passive. Upon completing the channel, the spirit is consumed by Vytag. Spirits will stop disappearing while they are being channeled, resuming their disappearance duration if the channel is interrupted. Trigger this active by targeting the spirit with an attack move.
Second active: Remove all stacks of this ultimate from Vytag and deal magic damage equal to 100% of the bonus health she had gained from this ultimate (+70% AP). Enemies in the inner radius are Feared for 1 second. Vytag may use Compounded Suffering while at 0 stacks, and if she does the Fear duration is increased to 2 seconds (however it will deal no damage as there would be no stacks consumed).

The E was very difficult to create, as there wasn't anything I could reasonably add to Vytag's kit that was thematic and not too powerful. Once I thought of how the Void is always hungry, and how she would do anything for more power, it clicked that the Void would trade her power in exchange for her life force. It really worked well with her as a character, without being too overpowered (I hope).

Her current E iteration was originally designed to have stacks, but I decided to move the stacking power to her ultimate. If her E had had stacks it would be yet another limiter on her basic abilities, which I did not believe would be a good design choice. Too many limits and it would just get really annoying to play her in general, which is never a good design.
