A magical midlane, an advanced top lane, and a warzone in the bot lane, spotted with life
Lets bring some extra personality to the individual roles and lanes in which they are good at!
A magical midlane
Mid lane can be a magical experience to lane in just like the mages that are often found there. How about a pillar in the center of midlane that blocks vision slightly to the other side but also changes the terain favorably for the laner by being a portal that sends you to the nearest ally tower. When a champion is standing to the left OR right of the pillar it becomes a looking glass for they that stand there. The player standing to the left or right of the looking glass can see a few things that may give them advantage for their good positioning. A mage is an expert at focus and discipline and can control the portal in a variety of ways. Mages can interact uniquely with the portal as according to their magical gifts, each mage has 1 globally shared 1 class shared (((((((activate for another champion ally or enemy, anyone that steps on the opposite side of the looking glass)))))) and 1 champion unique interaction with the portal. In order for a mage to interact with the looking glass with a unique seconday use to the champion they must completely fill the mana pool of the looking glass. Assassins get only two interactions with the portal. They can see the nearest low health enemy champion scaling with their damage and distance in an algorithm that states that by time you get to them they will still be the lowest health enemy. If they begin to recall they are no longer shown on the portal unless walking directly to them in that very moment would allow you so walk to them at current speed and auto attack them. Assassin champions interacting with the looking glass portal assisted by a magically gifted champion on the other side of the pillar teleport invisible to any point clicked near a controlled or conquered objective and gain a small boost to a stat unique to the assassins ninjas and monks interacted with on the map. Marksmen in the mid lane controlling the looking glass(with the looking glass at full mana filled by a mage and with a mage of either side standing on the other side unless the marksman has a magical ability and can activate it solo) with the help and guidance of a mage on the other side can shoot one barrage of auto attacks or an ability at the looking glass and hit anything being viewed. Supports give a shield that stays until destroyed that prevents true damage until it breaks to one champion on their team and stacks onto itself if it remains until the looking glass is activated again. I have ideas flowing for other classes so I will let this be filled in later here. Any player of the teams on one or the other side of the looking glass can see a small portal on the map and on the mini map or new view box on other side of screen. If two allied champions control both sides of the pillar then all team mates of allied champions can see the portal window on their screen.
an advanced toplane
Give it a lab and a factory that provides robotics and chemical buffs at different stations and things like that periodically if the objective it continuously activated to be filled. Give the objective a small rng puzzle combination the summoner must complete by mouse clicks and movement as well as button combination on the keyboard pattered and only known if you are the first one to activeat the station or if you guess the proper pattern. As the champion moves back and forth in the objective interacting and casting it can be seen and the pattern can be learned by the one viewing it. Make each activation more and more complicated by adding new champion interactions such as dancing, laughing, taunting or joke. Possible to add new and unique voice lines and lore over time into the interactions at each. Each use of the station requires a new addition to the pattern or a new button combination added the pattern like simon says computer interface style.
and a warzone in the bot lane
Make the bot lane like an old western shoot out wide open road between building that provide cover. Make the cover able to be destroyed. When cover is destroyed an item is dropped. Item is unique to the cover item destroyed. If it is a type of scrap it stacks and can be sold at increasing and decreasing intervals for quantity to make back timing for the scrap collectors more important and give reason to contest recalls as the scrap amount collected is shown to all players. If it is a consumable it stacks 3 times. and gives some affect. some items can have strictly cosmetic effects. Unlucky, or perhaps at times extremely lucky? Make cover spots unique from eachother
spotted with life
How about wandering jungle with creeps walking around randomly roaming the jungle. Wolves are always a pack. Chickens often are found scattered and plucking at mamma raptors latest kill. Grugs are camouflaged with the terrain trying to sleep the day away. Gromp is a frog that loves the flies found near the bone pile of barons last meal, often in the river, this amphibians children can be seen living their younger days scattered ever where there is water and food (avoiding anything too dangerous. Make the jungle interact with itself. The jungle can have puzzle objectives that reward experience along side roaming jungle mobs. Thin trees dot the forested area of the map. Not large enough to hinder movement but thick enough to create thin shadows to create a spooky aura and experience. also possible to lose someone in the jungle with proper pathing and strategy.
Akali had the power of the moon portal as kassadin poored the voids energy into the moongate that had fallen from the sky. Her form was engolfed and her mind was claravoyant for a moment of cascading clarity. She could see through the eyes of her prey but did not know who it was, only that they were in the jungle, lines of vision streaking across the mini map as if they were on the run. Surely then they knew she was coming, the fear was thick in the air. Wait, thats the baron pit. Alistar had capped scuttle nearly a minute ago. Her body reemerged in the swirling storm of movement scuttles spirit grants. Though there, she was in the shadows, years of training and discipline as a ninja has allowed her to grasp a piece of power from the moongate as she was silent and no ordinary eye could reveal her. She darted in the direction of the victim that awaited. The moongate never lied, if there was a chance of a kill in this moment then this was it. She reached into her invisible pack and throws a ward into the near by brush, revealing for nearly a fraction of a second, a teemo. Her reflexive instincts kicked in and her QEE are already in progress as the ground begins to shake. Suddenly, as she hurles at light speed at the hidden teemo, Baron bursts through the ground creating a shockwave in the water and knocking anyone in its path away. It begins to lash and slash viciously at akali. Her shroud is her only hope. And as the smoke comes out a blinding dart comes hurling at her at an airborn teemo finds his footing. The engagement just got risky. The shroud coats the ground just as kassadin shreads the yordles remaining health. Akali moves into cover away from the baron that has just reentered the ground by sewing its way through the terrain desperate not to lose the fresh flesh that has just become available. It re emerges at the teemos body to fend off any other predators. Akali sees a friendly garen coming to barons showing point. and now zilean and ezreal have shown up. Akali stops her recall as her and kassadin join the baron fight. Baron seeing that this fight is not winnable retreats underground into its caverns. the team all hop into the holes left behind that are now slick with the water that is running down these slides. The team finishes off Baron and claim its treasures before recalling to base and preparing for the next fight.
I wonder who the mages will be looking at and if the will know all the secrets of the rift......
