Just wondering what people think are good supports to lane with Kalista. I was thinking someone tanky because she is squishy but also has a high damage output. What do you guys think?Kalista

Kalista likes two things in a support:

  1. Ability to proc her marks lanephase (ranged support)
  2. Being OK with being tossed into the enemy team (generally, a tank)

I'd recommend Thresh, Sona, Taric and Leona. Thresh because he's ranged (easier to proc marks) and tanky, thus not minding being in the middle of the enemy team. The ability to chain CC is also nice. Sona because she's ranged and a lane bully (helping with Kalista's low-ish lanephase damage). The synergy between a free repositioning tool and Sona's ult is also excellent. Taric and Leona because they're bursty tank supports who like being in melee range of their enemies. Taric especially has high damage of his own to help offset Kalista's low-ish damage.

Personally, I like the Galio/Kalista lane, he's got the ability to protect her, he harasses well, and she can throw him into the enemy team for his ults.

I've tried multiple supports with her, and so far the ones that do best are Thresh: Can proc her W passive, and is happy to be in the middle of the enemy team without blowing his grab. Can use it to cut off escapes.

Taric : Is enough of a brick wall to be in the enemy team and get in the way, plus lets him get in range of a free stun on a good target.

Blitzcrank : Same as Thresh, allows him to save his grab to cut off escapes.

And now for some ridiculously fun non supports. Lissandra : Allows her to get a perfect ult of her own off. Lets her save her claw for cutting off escapes.

Malphite : Whats better then one malphite ult? 2!

MonkeyKing : Easy monkey spin.
