{Champion Concept} Goliath the Frenzy Cyclops
Hello everyone!, just a few notes about the post It's not necessary to read all the post I added a lot of additional content because I was thinking about this idea a bit through. added a kind of a hypothetical guide too for showing you some more detail about the idea. Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

Inspiration/aspiration: As a fan of bruisers/tanks I wanted to create a concept around a beefy hulk, cyclops warrior and make feel that way while playing him. I wanted to make a champion with relatively simple abilities but with a lot of potential from the player to use them properly giving a pretty average skill floor and and high skill cap from experienced player. I wanted that every ability in his kit will feel satisfying to use visually and in an impactful way. I wanted to match his abilities by his theme as much as i can, while keeping his gameplay balanced and fun(I hope I didn't failed in that though :))
Introduction: Goliath is a melee Bruiser/Tank who uses a pillar as a weapon ,he's designed to create disruption, support his team by setting up kills and engages , or peeling away from danger with his unique abilities and combos.
Attributes: Fighter, Melee, Blocker, Burst,Tank.
Base stats Health 566(+90 per lvl) Health regen. 8.10 (+0.85) Mana 270(+45 per lvl) Mana regain 7 (+0.5 per lvl) Damage 57 (+3.6 per lvl) Attack speed 0.675(+3.0% per lvl) Armor 27 (+3.5 per lvl) Magic resist 32 (+1.25 per lvl) Movement speed 340 Range 175
**Abilities:**
http://i.imgur.com/ivH3sey.png PASSIVE: Brutal strength- goliath gains bonus armor and magic resist based on his missing health. Gains 1/2/3/3.5 magic resist and armor for every 4% of his missing health(changes by lvls 1/6/11/16)
Description: This is goliath's tank steroid that gives him more durability when he's low on hp thus helps him survive fights after an engage or when getting focused. the idea is to make goliath scale better with health over resistances(however lifesteal and healing effects can also benefit from passive ) goliath will gain more effective health the lower he has, so increasing his max hp will benefit the most from his passive. For instance at lvl 11 , with only 50% health left, goliath's mr and armor will be increased by 37.5 and with only 10% health left he will receive 67.5 resistances.

Description:
A straight forward charge that knocks enemies aside ,(does not stun them except the knock stun duration)
helps you reaching a specific target and getting a good positioning for your other abilities.
also a very reliable escape and engage toll since it doesn't interrupted by colliding with champions however it can still be interrupted by CC.
(Its a bit of combination with VI ult dash travel and sejuani's Q, slightly slower charge than sej Q)

Description: Exactly like Anivas wall only it's in a straight line. requires good understanding and position to use it at it full potential. can be used to save allies by blocking enemy champions ,Separating enemy champions in team fights, create picks, or disengage when forced to.

Range: 230 Cooldown: 16/14/12/10/8 Cost: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 Physical damage: 50 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 170(+85% of bonus ad) plus (5%/6%/7%/8%/9% target's maximum health)
Description: 360 degrees spin that knocks away enemies, similar to xin ult ( with no stun after the knockback duration) has enough knockback distance to knock enemies over thick walls. strong trading ability vs melee enemies and can create significant disruption during teamfights. The max health damage intended mostly for jungle clearing.
http://i.imgur.com/thOKD7x.png R: Overwhelming Toss/True destruction - Goliath throws his pillar dealing magic damage and stunning the first enemy champion it hits for 1.5/1.6/1.7 sec. For the next 3 seconds the pillar stays in the place where it landed (if it doesn’t hit any champion it lands on the end of the skill range) goliath can't use any other basic abilities until the 3 seconds delay is over. During those 3 seconds , Goliath gains the ability True destruction (on his ult) which when he activates it, he dashes by rolling on the ground (doing a somersault) picking the pillar jumping in the air and slamming it on the ground, dealing AOE physical damage to all nearby enemies and reducing their armor and magic resist for 5 seconds. If goliath doesn't use True destruction ability within the 3 seconds delay it will put his ult back on cooldown but will be reduced by 40%, and he will be able to use his basic abilities again. Note: goliath has to be in a specific minimum range in order to activate his True destruction
Range of throw: 1000 Range for using True destruction: 700 Cooldown: 120 / 100 / 90 Cost: 110/100/90 mana Overwhelming Toss damage: 50/85/120 (+100% ap) True destruction damage: 190/320/450(+110% of bonus ad) Armor and magic resist reduction: 35%/40%/45% Diameter of Aoe: 900
Description: Mostly used as an initiation, doesn't provides a lot of cc but lowers the resistances of enemies thus making them more vulnerable for damage. top priority is to hit the carry with your first toss and then engaging on them to burst them down or set a kill for your teammates. can be also used just for the defense debuff or can also use only the toss if it's too dangerous to engage and wait for the right time for initiation.
Roles: Top-goliath can be played top efficiently due to his tankyness, damage and escaping capabilities. Jungler -has strong ganking tools, decent clearing but has bad sustain throughout the jungle . Bot/support- could be used as a support because of his peeling abilities and natural tankyness. Mid-not much recommended but can work in some cases, has good burst and all in potential on squishy targets.
Recommended items:
Health-Building health items will make your passive more efficient since it will eventually give you more effective hp while building hp and and will help you survive longer in teamfights: Warmog's armor, sunfire cape, frozen mallet.
Shields works great with passive: Maw of Malmortius,Hexdrinker,Sterak's Gage, locket of the iron solari,face of the mountain.
Attack damage-with 3 spells that scales with AD the its beneficial to buy some AD items -Black cleaver ,Titanic Hydra, Ravenous Hydra ,Trinity force.
CDR-for faster rotations for your abilities.
** Summuner spells:** Flash: helps you positioning for your E, W, and R. Ignite: good for your burst combo Barrier: very efficient with your passive Teleport :Flanking with tp can set up great kills for your team.

Playing as Goliath strategies(general tips and tricks):
Laining TOP (early –mid game)
Farming:
Goliath deals nice Aoe damage but doesn't have a distant/safe farming ability means you will have to be careful not to get kited and harassed early game.
Wave clearing/pushing- good at clearing big waves with his Aoe abilities.
On the other side Since all of goliath spells are Aoe you will most likely push the lane making you more vulnerable for ganks.
Aggressive play: Harassing- your basic harass combo is Q+auto+E : position yourself with your Q for trading and running away or engaging by dashing behind them and then E to knock them back. Going for a kill- use your R to stun and your True destruction ability right away then Q and E . Tower diving- block the enemy with W and prevent them from circling the tower use your R to stun them and after you pick up the kill use Q to escape the tower. Assisting the jungler- position yourself with Q and then use W to block their path so your jungler will reach them. In a tower dive situation you can only use your first Ult just for the stun if you are low on health.
Defensive play: Counter tower diving- use your W to prevent the enemy fom reaching you or escaping the tower aggro , your other abilities can prevent enemies from reaching you unless they have a gap closer. Countering ganks-can use Q to escape and W for blocking, use E if the enemy is at range, not recommended using R since you got 3 seconds that disables your abilities. Counter harass- you can use your E for counter harassing champions that gap close on you by canceling their dash.
Jungle:
Jungling Speed: with 2 Aoe abilities goliath can have a decent jungle clear, although they got a bit high cooldown early.
Jungle Sustain: goliath has no sustain ability but his passive helps him surviving the jungle.
Ganking : goliath can perform a lot of successful early game ganks using his great cc and utility he's also decent at tower diving.
Jungle Control/Counter jungle: he may not have the best clear but his q can move him through walls he can use his W in jungle to escape or chase and he's decent at dueling.
Team fights (late game) Focusing the carries – using ult on the carry jumping on him, create wall with W and separate him from his teammates. Dealing Aoe damage-3 of goliath damaging abilitys are Aoe and the ultimate can debuff the hole enemy team . Protecting/peeling the carries-using W,E,Q for peeling to prevent the other bruiser/assassin from reaching your carries.
Advanced combos: -Q ,W, and E all can interrupt dash abilities of enemy champions when times correctly , E can be used as a good self peel versus that. -Use W to wall, Q for repositioning and E for knocking enemies behind the wall. -When the enemy team engages use ult to place the pillar in a strategic point when enemies gather around use the true distraction ability and Q back to your team while knocking enemies away. -Enemy is near a narrow terrain? use W to create a "cage" and E him into it(for example: jungle camps that can be blocked with his wall).
- Use W near enemies then use Q to knock them to the direction of the wall creating good line up for your team .
Team composition combos: Vlad- combined ults will reduce the armor and mr and will add more % of damage delt . Mf/wukong/fiddle/morg/amumu- increases the Aoe damage. Anivia,J4-double walls or cages can make a great combo . Gnar- can use W for a great setup for his ult. Orianna/lux/karma- shields are good for surviving with passive. Twitch,lux,Rumble- can use his line up combo.
Goliath matchup examples Rumble: can use E and Q to force rumble's flamethrower to face the opposite direction. Volibear: when he charges use E , your passive counters can his W burst, wall him if he escapes. Garen: Goiath passive counters his ult, he can use E if garen engages and his W to prevent him from escaping. Singed: use E to prevent him from fling you , wall him when he tries to run. Riven: when timed properly can interrupt rivens third Q with E , passive negates her execution. Teemo: just fuck him up

**Playing Against Goliath: **
General counter tips:
- Goliath can get harassed easily by using long range abilities.
- Dash Abilities will help you reaching him if he walls you or to escape.
- Goliath has no sustain in his kit so building a lot of sustain may force him out of lane.
- Despite his Max health damage on his E its still efficient to be Building health to counter his Burst.
- His abilities scales with AD so building armor is still generally efficient against him.
- Try to dodge his Ultimate since it’s a skillshot, it can waste his ult.
- his ultimate hits the first champion, so having a good frontline tank will make hard time for him to get in position for his ult.
- if you see that goliath has used his ultimate but he has to get in range for his True destruction try to use crowd control on him to disable his ultimate.
- current health damage hurts goliath since his passive is irrelevant to the damage taken(at least when hes almost full health), also receiving lethal damage from a single high burst ability can negate alot of his passive effect.
- ignite is a great spell at countering his passive and finishing him off.
Counter picks: Olaf: long range harass with Q ,true damage counters passive, and great sustain, ult counters goliath's knockbacks and stun. Irelia: true damage counters passive, good sustain in lane. Darius: Ult shuts down completely his passive, has better damage output and can harass with Q , also can pull through his wall. Xin zaho: sustain, armor reduction , ult deals damage based on his current health. Ch'ogath: true damage nuke, lots of sustain. Gnar:hard to engage on, can turn your wall agansed you.
Counter items: Sunfire cape,Randuins omen: Armor, health counters his ult burst and the reductions. Black cleaver : Armor reduction + health. BoTrk: current health damage and sustain. Liandry's Torment: health and current health damage

- good tools for early ganks
- decent cc and Aoe debuff
- safe in lane
- decent farmer/pusher
- tanky with passive
- good utility for teamfights both for disengaging/peeling and engaging
- has good burst damage against squishy targets.
Cons
- lacks sustain in lane and jungle
- gets easily harassed early game by ranged autos and abilities.
- needs good positioning to be able to combo properly
- team dependent to combo with his abilities.
- A bad W landing can kill your teammates.
- has actually a lot of room for error on his W,E and ult.
- outside from autos lacks any sustained damage and relies on his cooldown.

Visual design: There are 3 options for goliath visual look (note: none of these artworks are my creations i don't take any credit from them.)
1.A freaking Cyclops . I choose this visual look because it makes goliath look more monstrous and unique imo. And i would like to see some other mythology themed monsters (like Cassiopeia , Hecarim, and Alistar).

Skins possibilities: Pirate goliath- holds cannon instead of a pillar. Full metal goliath-with full gear and a metal pillar. Prehistoric goliath – with bone pillar and wears a mammoth fur. Greek theme goliath- With a Greek pillar with goat head/horns on top wears a toga. ****
