They have a lot of other skins already in progress. There's also the issue of marketing. It's better for them to have a trickle of releases for spikes of interest over a long period of time than it is to throw stuff out in a lump. Doing so would generate a similar amount of interest as the spikes for single releases, but would end much sooner. People would also get impatient, because a precedent would be set of faster releases.
In other words, it's in their best interest to maintain slower, steady releases because that pace is more reliably achievable.
