In the light of the Singularity Gamemode, I present Arcade+Other Gamemodes
I'd been thinking about possible concepts for new gamemodes, and I thought, what about old retro-based games? Like, ones that implement all the different roles. The maps would be all Arcade-ified, and would go along gr8 with an Arcade-event, like Dark Star Singularity for Dark Star, and Hunt of the Blood Moon for Blood Moon.
So, hear me out.
Space Invaders/Galaga based Gamemode, with Marksmen. We already have Arcade Baron as an icon, so what if Riot were to implement that idea in like, Howling Abyss, or even just Midlane and the Jungles in SR?
Pong-based, where you have three Lee Sins or Jannas, or really, anyone with a Knockback, and increase the strength, and make it like Pong, where the ball would be a Rammus or a Scuttler, trying to get it past the enemy team. Maybe bar off river and behind Tier 1 Towers in Midlane/HA.
Pac-Man based, where you'd be a Rammus eating Ivern-buff candies in Twisted Treeline, being chased by a couple of Nocturnes. Not sure how this would work. Maybe multiple Rammus(es? Rammusi?) players and multiple Nocturne bots (maybe players?), and eating the Super-Pellets allow you to roll into a Nocturne, debuffing them for the duration of the Super-Pellet. Once you die, you're out of the game until the next round, and when all players die, it's game-over.
Donkey Kong based, where Sions (barrels) charge down the lane, and you play as Zac, jumping over them, and making it to the Wukong, where you have to fight him.
Racing Games- High-speed champs like Rammus, Quinn, Yi, etc. on Twisted Treeline, but with no towers and the Jungle is off limits.
These are the only ones I've come up with, and obviously not all of them could be implemented at once, but these are the ideas that I think can definitely be done, seeing as how Thresh's hooks were enhanced in Singularity
, and Riot has proven they can now change the map-design.
