Battle Of The Bands
I've put forth a limited version of this idea in some comment sections, but I've decided to pop this into a proper thread of its own.
Pentakill is great. Metal is great. However, I think Riot can go even further with this idea. A Battle Of The Bands of sorts. So far, I've come up with Midlane and Toplane bands. I'm determined to set up a complete skinline including Pentakill. I think there's a potential for a lot of different genres to be made into actual songs (e.g. Pentakill - The Lightbringer), and it'd boost Riot's profits while also giving decent skins to champions who are either massively underskinned (I'm referring to quantity, not frequency), or champions who overall need a good skin. Each band/group has similar outfits, but not to the point that it'd get really confusing (in terms of clarity). These ideas are subject to change due to certain VGUs coming up. Do keep in mind that some of these skins would theoretically have to be 1820 RP, simply due to certain animation changes. Overall this would be an Epic--->Legendary spanning skinline.
_** Midlane Mixmasters: "These suave singers are ready to remix the Rift." These skins are identifiable by their sleek weapons and dark clothing with neon highlights. Their sound is reminiscent of The Glitch Mob.
MM Zed: "This Mixmaster of Shadows enlightens the crowd, dropping the bass harder than your LP"
Outfitted in a Mixmaster outfit with neon blue highlights, Zed's shurikens are discs, while his shadow has an equalizer effect. His blades are sleek, rather than slicey like his classic blades. His E also has musical notes as particles. His R pop has been changed to a bass drop.
MM Azir: "As Shurima rises by the hand of this Electro Emperor, so does the excitement in the stadium"
Outfitted in a Mixmaster outfit with neon silver highlights, Azir's soldiers are back-up dancers, as his staff is a mic and his soldiers' spears are sleek, similar to Zed's blades. The turrets are subwoofers.
MM Leblanc: "This Deceptive Dame plays no tricks-- her voice is enough to make the mob glitch out"
Outfitted in a Mixmaster outfit with neon red highlights, Leblanc's distortion acts as her back-up vocals. Her staff is also a mic.
MM Ekko: "The rookie on the team, this boy shatters time, records, and limits."
Outfitted in a Mixmaster outfit with neon purple highlights, Ekko's Q is a disco ball, his W is a field of musical notes, stunning enemies when he steps onto the stage, his E is him sliding while playing a keytar riff, and his R is him going back in time with some music playing from his boombox.
MM Lissandra: "This Ice Witch freezes the other bands in their tracks with her music-- literally."
Outfitted in a Mixmaster outfit with neon yellow highlights, Lissandra is riding on equalizers. Her Q is a music note. Lissandra's W is a note that freezes enemies in their tracks, rooting them. Her E is a sleek, metal claw that leaves behind a trail of equalizers. Her R is a tomb of metal which plays music. If she casts it on herself, the music heals her. If she casts it on an enemy, the music keeps them immobile.

Toplane Thunderstorms: "These tanky titans are ready to bring the thunder." These skins are identifiable by their more rugged looking motorcyclist clothing lined with thunderbolts (similarly to Vandal, but with more flair), along with their thunderclap SFX. Their sound is reminiscent of AC/DC.
TT Shen: "This twilight thunderstorm shocks the audience with his lightning-fast riffs, driven by his personal and professional rivalry with the Midlane Mixmasters' Zed."
Outfitted in a no-sleeve denim jacket with a purple shining thunderbolt, signature of the Thunderstorms, Shen's spirit blade is now his electric guitar, while his physical blade is his mic. Shen summons his guitar to him with his Q, screeching a glorious screech, as his next autoattacks have him smashing his guitar on targets. Shen's W creates a field of music, blocking auto-attacks from hitting anything in it. Shen dashes in his E, screeching right in the ear of the target, enticing them to come at him. Shen plays a riff so quickly that it's invisible to the naked eye, and he seems to be simply standing still. The soundwaves tear through space/time and allow Shen to teleport to an ally champion in his R, with a thunderclap as he reappears.
TT Sion: "This juggernaut is famous for smashing into the stage on his entrance, with a thunderclap so powerful that it brings the literal house down"
Shirtless, but with a shining silver thunderbolt tattooed on his back, Sion's Q has him raising his guitar into the air and either swinging it around, or smashing it on the ground. His W is where he prepares to play a mean riff, granting him a shield. When he finally plays, the shield pops, slowing enemies around him. Sion screams in his E, knocking minions caught in the way back. Sion charges forth in his signature Thunderstorm Trample R, and upon landing, smashes down on the ground, with a thunderclap and shockwave that pulls enemies into him. Upon reviving in his passive, activating his abilities leads to another thunderclap.
TT Poppy: "Don't be fooled by her size. The Iron Ambassador is mini but mighty, and her screams will blow the competition away!"
Clad in metal spikes and leather, with a giant mic with a shining red thunderbolt carved into the metal. Poppy's Q smashes the mic down. She lets out a majestic screech in her W, increasing her movement speed among other things. She just... dashes... in her E. Winding up in her R, Poppy smashes her mic down, with a thunderclap, enemies are sent knocked up (or away).
TT Urgot: "This drumming Dreadnought echoes flames and thunder with his shotgun knees and grinder stomach. Yes. Shotgun knees."
Having a drumming kit attached above his legs and a small apparatus connected to his cannon arm to play the drums, Urgot is outfitted with spikes on his legs and a shining yellow thunderbolt tattoo on his human arm. He also has a rad mohawk. Urgot's Q is a capsule of music. He starts drumming in his W, and when he shoots from one of his knees. He just... dashes... in his E. His R drill is simply a spiky drill, and upon grinding, a thunderclap occurs, fearing and slowing enemies in the vicinity.
TT Aatrox: "The Darkin Blade is here to take names and play music-- and he's all out of names"
Wearing a trenchcoat without a sleeve, and with a shining blue thunderbolt running down his arm, Aatrox's sword is now a bass. Aatrox leaps up and smashes down on the target area, knocking enemies up in his Q. Aatrox strums up to activate Blood Price and strums down to activate Blood Thirst in his W. His E has him strumming forward, slowing targets hit by the sound. Aatrox draws in the blood of his foes in his R with a thunderclap. Upon dying and reviving in his passive, a thunderclap also occurs. https://i.imgur.com/uRlxP7s.png
This concludes the first two bands, the Midlane Mixmasters and the Toplane Thunderstorms. I'd have chosen Olaf for the TT Drummer, but he's already in Pentakill. And besides, Urgot needs a skin more than him. Not sure which lane I'm going to cover next. Most likely Jungle. Jungle Joes... Jungle Jellyfish... Jungle... something. Anyway. I hate schedules so I'm just gonna pump these out randomly, rather than one every week. So keep an eye out for the next one.
