Lore: I am still working on this, but I am thinking someone who;

  1. Is from the Shurima region
  2. Gets cursed
  3. Finds itself in the Shadow Isles,
  4. Dies and possess an ancient legendary weapon and now floats around angry killing everything It is a work in progress, but I will develop it more if there is interest.

Stats: Health: 575 (+75 per level) Health Regen: 8.5 (+0.65 per level) Mana: 320 (+32 per level) Mana Regen: 8 (+0.8 per level) Movement Speed: 345 Attack Damage: 55 (+2 per level) Attack Speed: 0.625 (+2.5% per level) Attack range: 175 (melee) Armor: 27 (+2.75 per level) Magic Resist: 29 (+0.7 per level)

I tried to make its stats and growth slightly lower. Since his kit revolves around absorbing weapons, there will be additional item slots for tank/utility items late game.

Abilities:

Passive: One True Weapon The Living Sword Everchanging Blade cannot purchase any weapons, but instead absorbs weapon stats, not including passives. When The Living Sword Everchanging Blade accumulates certain amounts of absorbed damage, It unlocks additional permanent passive stats. • 30 damage absorbed: gain 10% Lifesteal (+1%/level) • 60 damage absorbed: gain 20% Attack Speed (+2%/level) • 100 damage absorbed: gain additional 3% (+# of weapons absorbed/2) max hp on hit as magic damage • 130 damage absorbed: gain 25% (+# of weapons absorbed) critical strike chance

Q: Pierce the Weak The Living Sword Everchanging Blade lunges in target direction, penetrating all enemies and dealing 50/55/60/65/70 (+60% of absorbed AD) (+30% AP) physical damage, and increasing his move speed by 10/15/20/25/30% for 2 seconds. • 45/50/55/60/65 Mana • 9/8/7/6/5 second CD

W: Dancing Blades The Living Sword Everchanging Blade separates into three parts and swirls around It’s center, damaging all enemies hit for 75/90/105/120/135 (+40% of total AD) (+60% AP), and slowing them for 40/45/50/55/60% for 1.5 seconds. • 65/70/75/80/90 Mana • 14/13/12/11/10 second CD

E: Impenetrable Offense The Living Sword Everchanging Blade takes the defensive, creating a 80/90/100/110/120 (+15% HP) +(30% AP) shield blocking physical damage, and reflecting 75% of all projectile damage back to their originators, for 2.5 seconds. • 80 Mana • 23/22/21/20/19 second CD

R: Shards of Reckoning The Living Sword Everchanging Blade separates into 6/7/8 shards and plunges down at the targeted location, damaging all enemy targets for 25/30/35 (+75% of Absorbed AD) physical damage, shredding their armor by 3/4/5% and causing a 30/35/40 +(20% AP) bleed over 6 seconds, per shard. • 150 Mana • 210/190/170 second CD

Give me some feedback on the concept as a whole, the abilities etc. It will need some tweaking, but I think it could be a unique addition to the game.

I have several other champion concepts out there as well if you are interested. I will keep spitting these out till one of them sticks.

PI the Undying Alcina the MindFlayer Mr. Smith the Secret Agent Zion the Inquisitor

Thanks!

Edit: Changed the name to the Everchanging Blade since I did not realize Aatrox was the Living Sword.

So Aatrox?

Please elaborate on the similarities between Aatrox, and this champion concept.

I might be able to concede that Pierce the Weak is maybe, kind of like Aatrox's Blades of Torment, only in the fact that they both do damage, and happen in a line. The other abilities are unique and don't really correlate as far as I see.

Aatrox is literally THE living sword. Aatrox isn't just the character, rather he's the sword the figure is using. This was confirmed with Rhaast's release. While it doesn't float around killing everything, it does posses a guy then walk around killing everything.

Oh okay, I understand. My bad I thought you meant the concept as a whole. I haven't kept up with League lore since it was retconned.

I will change the name once I think of something clever. Thanks for catching that and educating me!

Here I am trying to come up with something unique, and you beat me to it by a whole year xD

I like your concept though, especially the R. I've always wondered how a mechanic like that could be introduced into the game, but still have the champion be effective outside of its R.

It was also pretty neat reading the feedback people gave you, and seeing your concept evolve because of it. #thedream

Back to the drawing board for me!

Ah don't feel down about it. Pretty much every idea that can be thought has been thought of before. I've been working on more than 1 concept when Riot came out and released a champion that was very similar to one I was getting ready to release and same thing for these boards. I could talk for days about creativity and originality, but I save that for it u really want it.

Its ur choice tho if u wanna continue to work on this idea or start a new one, this one still has potential

Too true. I had an idea for a champion that was friends with the jungle camps, rather than trying to kill them. Then lanky tree-man Ivern happened haha.

I have another idea I am working on that I may submit to the CCOS this month, if I can work out the lore.

The past few days have just been me brain vomiting on my keyboard making various champion concepts. None of them have seem to stick yet, so I am not particularly attached to one of them.

When you create your champion concepts, what do you focus on first; the Lore of the abilities?

I usuallt start with the theme and abilities and then either a story spontaneously spawns in my head that I work on over time, or I really have to work at crafting one. Honestly tho, even some of my LEAST developed ideas have been worked on for at least a few month before I post them; My final iteration of a weather champ was TWO whole years in development.

That's the way I have been working it as well. I have not waited two years before posting though. My thought was to post an idea, and see what feedback it gets first. If there is interest, then I can develop it further and really flesh out the numbers and lore.

It seems that the champion concepts that really do well, already have all the lore, abilities, quotes, skins etc. worked out though, and only require minor tweaks. So I am changing my approach from here forward. I just enjoy trying to think of something unique and making it viable in game.
