A harbinger of doom. A symbol for prosperity. His presence, omnipresent. Turiyu has walked the line between myth and certainty. Many tales circle around this ominous figure. One further warrants his existence.

Legends tell of a young fisherman who got caught in a storm out on Conquerer’s Sea. He finds island after the storm, unable to return home, due the clouds blocking the stars. He finds a village and stays there until he can find his barring and return home. Fog covers the island, so the man is forced to stay longer. The man is warned by many to not venture towards the sacred ruins of the island, and he complies with no concern.

A day comes when the skies clear. The man meets a beautiful maiden and decides to stay a little longer. Clouds and fog continue to hide the stars, but the man doesn’t pay mind anymore. He tells her of the places he’s been, the people’s he’s meet, and would love to show her someday. The skies clear, but the man stays with the maiden. Before he knows it, the man is betrothed. Married when the day is clear, and the sun can be seen setting.

One day, the man asks his wife about the ruins. She says that they’re remnants of an old village on this island that was lost after a unknown event. People go out to pay their respects for the lost, encouraging her husband that’s it’s just fairy tales keeping most people at bay. The man still shows no concern, as he is happy with his wife.

The man finally convinces his wife to leave this island with him, when he’s struck with the news that she’s baring his child. Overwhelmed with joy, he decides to stay on the island until his child is right of age.

Years pass by. The man awakes one night when he hears laughter in the streets. He ventures out of curiosity, when he hears weeping as well. He heads towards the noise, now in concern, when he hears another voice. This time that of frustration. He wanders into the forest, continually hearing the noises. Fog begins to build up as he starts to lose vision the thicker it gets. He jumps when he hears a gasp. He calls out with no response other than the noises.

The noises subside, and just as he’s about to head back to the village, he hears a scream. This one all too familiar…the sound of his son. He runs towards the direction of the scream. Hearing the weeping, laughter, anger. He loses his concentration and collides with a pillar. He gets up and finds himself in the ruins he was told to avoid throughout the years. Unafraid he continues forward and finds a figure, hunched over on the ground. He calls out with no response.

When the man grabs the shoulder, he’s shocked when he finds this strange being. A creature, baring a mask with no face. He hears the noises again, terrified to look in the direction of the source. His head moves above him, a figure in the fog descends in front of him, baring three faces, six arms, and fours legs.

The man trips himself in shock, and begs that he be spared. The figure tilts its head in curiosity.

“Tell me..why is it, when men are faced with what they do not understand, they cower?”

The voice sends shivers down the man’s entire being. The figure spins its head around, as if inspecting the ruins of the city.

“They lash against the unknown. Even though their backs lack a wall behind them.”

“Yet some, will welcome it with open arms. Even with the uncertainty of their own preservation.”

The man lays there terrified and uncertain of what to do next.

“Yet another with no answer. How disappoin-.”

“It’s because we don’t know it, that’s why we fear it.”

The being looks down at the man, turning its head to the mask with the face of anger.

“Explain.”

“There are many things we don’t know, but how many of them should we actually fear. I don’t know what lays beneath the ocean, yet I was a fisherman. I don’t know many men, yet I fear them for what they might be capable of. It’s only when I stop to find out what or who they are, that we find out whether or not we should be afraid. For some it’s harder to stop, for others it’s easy. It might get them killed or hurt, but that’s a chance they always take…the chance everyone takes. Maybe it’s that chance that we’re afraid of... Now, stranger, who are you?”

The head turns to the mask with the smile.

“If only your mind could comprehend what I am. You’re just another who’s forgotten. Another who’ll enter oblivion.”

The being voices moves from ominous to engrossing. He asks the being what he’s talking about out.

“You've amused me thus far. Very well…I'll provide a inkling. Look back at your life. The events. Places. Times. The people. Think long and reflect. As for me. I think I’ve spent enough time here. I’ll state my presence elsewhere.”

The man stops and reflects on his life. It doesn’t take long for him to realize the island’s strange state. Every time he’s wanted to leave, it’s been cloudy or foggy. Every time he’s had a chance to leave, something else came up. Then he thinks back to the storm. He remembers now. His boat capsized, he never made it through that storm. He has a wife and son waiting at home, one he raised in a village much like one’s he’s spent his life in. No, this wasn’t his life, this was an illusion…

And with that the man woke up, as young as the day he went out to sea, on a beach, spitting water from his lungs. He looks around and knows instantly where he’s at. As he travels down the shore and sees a town in the distance when he suddenly hears…

“If you’re sure this reality is absolute. Then I suppose it is. Hehehehe.”

The man turns, looking out in the ocean. He sees the being out in the water laughing, weeping, gasping, screaming, as everything fades into the night.

No one knows why he journeys our realm. Why he meddles with the minds of mortal men. He does no wrong, yet he ushers no sanctuary. One thing is certain, these realms and visions are his domain, and he will continue to rule there, thriving off the clairvoyance, dreams and nightmares of others.

First of all, this concept, I think, is really unique, and after reading the basic concept I fell in love with it! Also, is that art yours? If it is, then that is some great sketches you've put up. :D

Anyway, on to his kit. His passive. I really, really like the idea of getting to choose between a defensive or offensive passive at the start of the game, imagine if you are in a game and the entire enemy team is really high damage, no problem, just choose the defensive option of the two. It also doesn't seem ridiculously OP, so IMO, this passive is basically perfect. *minor nuances include wishing the kit could be more centered around this in some way, but thats just how I feel :P

His Q, pretty basic but effective. My view of it, is that, it applies Distortion, but if an enemy is already marked it has a different effect and puts them to sleep? Seeing how a couple of other skills interact with this sleep mechanic, I think there should be some modifications made to the way it works and the duration that they are put to sleep for, because with that current duration its almost impossible to get a good combo most of the time. *also what is sleep even? is it like a semi-stun?

Turiyu's W and E, I'm going to discuss them both because they both have similar problems and general workings. So, once again, the duration of the sleeping effect would be a little short to use the skills to their full potential. Plus these AP boosts don't really have too much incentive to even have them in the spell, so I'd say to take them out maybe. Additionally, that mana gain from the E is quite astonishingly high, so I'd recommend you lower that too. But in general concept, they are, like the Q, nice, simple and effective.

Now, his Ulti. About a month ago, I created a champion with an ultimate almost identical to this, only it made him less tanky and gave him different skills that were ranged (think reverse-Gnar rage bar). That is probably one of the reasons why I like this ultimate. Its unique, cool and fits pretty well thematically. The only problems I can find is just the duration, it is just a little bit short, so I'd suggest upping it by about 1-3 seconds per level.

Well, thats my view. I hope I didn't sound mean or anything, I was just here to leave some feedback and also get myself part of the CCOS Good Neighbour bonus :D
