Stupid concept I thought up.

Whilst walking home today, I thought up a dumb idea that is probably really bad... what if there were a champion that, instead of mana, cast from their gold whilst having some way of generating even more gold?

Maybe some kind of prospector/miner/midas champion.

I'm not thinking about having him passively generate gold because that would be a bit crazy but maybe where you actually have to DO something to get gold.

It seems interesting. I think some sort of miner champion would be fun, though I'm not sure which lane would best suit them. Maybe top lane or jungle?

He may be a bit feast or famine... Interesting but not healthy from the perspective of the game.

If riot did it right and not to op or too bad I think it would be really cool

Like getting extra gold from cs?

hmm... I thought up something else... perhaps if they built him like a jungler, there could be little gold veins that pop up around the map like bard's charms (unoriginal I know) and he could go and mine them for more money

He could be a pickpocket, his passive would be to steam 5 gold per basic attack

Using Gold as a ressource seems not very intuitive, as he could just decide to not cast and instead just buy more items with the extra gold he would need to keep casting.

A possibility would be to make him scale with his gold instead of using it. Both his ressource (greed or energy) and his abilities would have scaling regen, amount and damage depending on his current gold, which would give him an a nice strategic edge of spending or keeping money. The balancing would be difficult, but I think implementing such a system is better than giving a strong passive gold gain.
