[Suggestion] Another Urgot rework suggestion.
Thought I'd give this a shot, even though there are probably countless of these in the work. I'm listing these in their relevance to his kit, instead of explaining each one individually. I'm not worried about CD/mana/damage/ratio things because that's not my place to balance. Titles are also garbage I came up with to explain how everything works rather than anything creative.
E - Mechanical Menace
Urgot gains a shield and transforms into a melee unit, gaining armor, magic resist, and a shield. His abilities are augmented accordingly. Reactivating this ability early ends the effect, though the shield remains for its full duration or until destroyed, whichever comes first.
- The idea is that this is supposed to go for 6-10 seconds or something similar, so it can act as a pseudo-transformation ability for Urgot, increasing his combat potential at the expense of the safety and utility of his range.
Passive - Corrosive Tracer / Noxian Demise
(Standard) Every third consecutive autoattack on a target fires a corrosive tracer instead, inflicting damage over time and modifying Urgot's other abilities. (E) Every third consecutive autoattack on a target delivers a stronger blow, briefly stunning them and dealing additional damage. Targets affected deal less damage for a few seconds.
Q - Acid Hunter / Missile Spray
(Standard) Urgot fires a missile to the target location, impacting and exploding at the target location, dealing damage to nearby units. If a Corrosive Tracer target is near the point of impact, the missile instead homes in onto the target, ignoring stealth and cover restrictions. (E) Urgot fires a barrage of missiles in front of him over two seconds, dealing damage and shredding the armor of his targets. This is a channel, and interrupting the ability ends it early.
- Note that this Q instead works mechanically similar to his E, launching upwards in the air to explode at the target location after a brief delay that varies depending on the distance at which it was launched. Its travel speed and explosion radius will of course be different, however.
W - Terror Capacitor / Deadly Discharge
(Standard) Urgot launches a beacon at the target location that pulses periodically. Any enemy unit hit by a pulse takes a stack of Terror. At three stacks, the unit is terrified. Units affected by Corrosive Tracer take damage each pulse as well. (E) Urgot is slowed and builds up an electric charge as Deadly Discharge is held, increasing the ability's range. When cast, Deadly Discharge teleports Urgot to the target location, releasing a ring of electricity that damages all enemy units near the target location after a brief delay, slowing them for a period of time. The size of the ring increases based on the amount of time that Urgot channeled this ability.
- It would be interesting if these pulses occurred slowly over a wide area with only a brief terrify duration, making them a nuisance in combat with Urgot but also making them potential objectives that can be cleared instead of a temporary device laid out onto the field, similar to Illaoi's tentacles or Heimerdinger's turrets. However, the base concept for this is that the placed device would pulse relatively quickly, perhaps every half a second, in a small area, similar to Viktor's own Gravity Field.
R - Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverser
After a brief channel, Urgot swaps places with the target enemy champion, slowing the target after swapping and terrifying all enemies at Urgot's destination. Urgot increases in size and activates Mechanical Menace for six seconds, regardless of whether the skill is on cooldown, and activating it at level 1 if the skill hasn't yet been learned.
While Urgot has a lot of utility in this proposed kit, I see him as being a very heavily telegraphed champion whose moves and intentions can easily be read, making his efforts avoidable to an extent with some effort. In addition, I feel that Urgot shouldn't be played as an assassin, so giving him higher base damage at the cost of better scaling would make him a stronger bruiser or even tank, with alternatives like Iceborn and Black Cleaver to boost his defense.
Feel free to leave your opinions below. Toxicity isn't appreciated, but if you feel the need to be that way, I can't really help it, so... ¯_(ツ)_/¯
