Hello everyone,
I hope the christmas and winter vibe will catch you soon, because it caught us, so we've decided to create a Snowdown 2019 Login Screen animation, with an original splash art, music, and animation.

Quáx13 votesThis is really, really, really good. Its always refreshing to see a bunch of fans who seem to care more about the game than the actual people who made it. So I commemorate you on doing what the company could not. MAKING US SMILE.
Xplosion10111 votesAh, you care more about us than Rito. But your login screen is a failure for one reason: WHERE IS THE CASHGRAB """EVENT""" ASSOCIATED WITH IT? Jokes aside, well done, looks neat! [slayer-jinx-catface]
GonahtanuGepardi7 votesThe cash grab is the Lux skin that comes with it.
Xplosion1011 votesDoes it include a premium prestige border + summoner icon? Otherwise I'm not interested.
Anihaku8 votesWhat a beautiful Snowdown login screen animation. Kudos to all of you for doing this!!! I was saddened when I heard we won’t be getting one this year (especially after reading Riot’s pitiful excuse). Thank you so much. <3
Eternal Torment4 votesImagine 3 people doing the same effort for fun that an entire company's sub division is supposed to do for a living and has been brutally slacking off this year. I mean fuck, yuumi doesn't even have a login screen at all, mordekaiser's was just a copypaste of his splashart with no animations, fuck even true damage didn't get a login screen even thoe they got a fucking music video dedicated to them.
Void Kaiju4 votesdo you like... actually think that riot just hires people to work exclusively on login screens... and the reason there haven't been traditional login screens is that somehow these people, whose only job is apparently to make login screens, have managed to slack off all year without losing their jobs?
Despite the explanations as to why there won't be more traditional login screens from various rioters already?

They have a division for every section of the game. They have the music team that makes all the login themes. Legit, their job is to make themes that they release once a month AT BEST. So yes, I do think they have a team specifically designed to make the animations and artworks to every champion, login screen and their skin splash arts.
And I do remember, when Morde and Yuumi came out someone made a post specifically addressing the low effort in login screens lately and one rioter came out and apologized for that too, yet since they were not from the same team, they couldn't make any promises.
Kazekiba1 votesLogin screens were phased out deliberately because you don't have to login anymore. Since you can be always-on now, login screens have no purpose.

Except the "no login" takes just as long to actually start up. And it lets people send you invites and crap when you're not fully logged in, and then they feel like you're snubbing them or something.
Kazekiba2 votesNice opinion, doesn't change the fact that you dont see a login screen if you dont want to anymore, so there's no point to making them.
They can just do backgrounds on the client, but it does mean losing champ themes. Although Riot could release these themes to Spotify or something now, too, they wont hold much meaning without an associated login. I agree that I miss 'em, just explaining whuy tyere gone.
4 Step Cadence2 votesNo point in making something that's going to be rendered completely useless with the new client features. That's the entire reason why they stopped making them, and so that the art and sound teams can be put on more important projects.

Lmao it's fan art man not official
Eternal Torment1 votesLmao it's fan art man not official
But the topic I started was about the official ones.
I feel like Riot released the second client almost specifically to remove the need for login screens, which cuts short an entire team's need. And ironically enough, it was one of the 3 teams the community loves THE MOST.

DemiMax3 votesAm I missing something? This is getting downvoted like hell yet it's so great and brings me the holiday spirit that League logins used to give me around christmas. I don't get it.
Anyways, well done, you've brought some happiness my way this morning, after all... tis the season to be jolly :)

IronyAndSublime2 votesToo bad Riot won't be doing Snowdown this year
XJ999999999999992 votesoh great another lux skin. great.
Okraki2 voteswait... another lux?
I mean... i like it (Because its one the champion i play) but it makes no sense, she already has a winter skin, not to mention has quite a few skins, why not give it to other champions who has not gotten a skin in years?
YoRHa 2B2 votesWhy is this getting downvoted so much?
Terozu1 votesI wish Ice form Lux would've looked like that. T-T
TheDelighted1 votesThis is AMAZING! WOW!
Morbys1 votesI look forward to snowdown every year, the fact they cut it for some other event that could be done ANYTIME of the year is just flagrant incompetence on their part.

Seems like it was. Someone must really hate us
Divine Fool1 votesThanks for doing this. I am shattered that there won't be any snowdown this year and having a snowdown song that I can play makes me feel a little bit better. The work is really beautiful of course. My upvote brings us to neutral so far? Hopefully other people with upvote as well. I'll at least be sharing on facebook so other fans can enjoy it.
