Don't get me wrong, I really do love the new splash art (not as much as the one that was teased a long time ago, but it still works), but if there is one thing that really rustles my jimmies is that lack of a background and the simple blotch of green in the 'background.' So I decided to fix that pet peeve of mine by adding a background myself using photoshop...

Please Riot, do something, anything to slightly change that background. Literally a kid fucking around on photoshop was capable of doing it.

EDIT: Important annoucment, I take back everything I've said about the Irelia splash art. I found the truth, the darkest secret in League...how could we all be so foolish?

I don't think Riot's going to bother changing this considering Irelia has a new splash art that's already either done or damn close to it lined up to replace the Chinese splash.

End of Season 4 Base Splashes: This was a heavy push to update as many of our out-of-date base splashes for Worlds that year. We made a great deal of progress, but not everything got finished at the time (coughcoughIreliaWarwickAnivia).

So I think it's reasonable to assume that we'll be getting this splash fairly soon.

On top of that, they changed the artwork for Headhunter Master Yi, yet not the in-game version which looks completely different, even the eye color and the red cape is not in the new artwork. Rito super lazy this meta for some reason, just look at the April Fool's fail. It's like they're purposely trying to lower their quality to help league die out sooner.

If you do your research, its not actually riot, its the company that bought Riot Games....which is called Tencent. A chinese company who makes all the corporate decisions, they're the sole reason the jaugernauts became a thing.....they're the reason this game is going down hill. Unfortunately, Riot is forced to do what they say or face bankruptcy in the form of lost shares.

Sure! It's not the most professional though. The background is just an image of Ionia and you can notice that the 'green screen is leaking' since I used a render to help insert the background

Nah, it's actually quite simple - you replace the files: Graves_0.jpg Graves_Splash_0.jpg Graves_Square_0.png

Located in (current patch - the releases number will change):

[X]:\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.195\deploy\assets\images\champions

X = Your local install drive. And without the [].

You will ofc. need the files you want to put into the client, and probably have to edit them (like I did with the Irelia splash above) to make them fit, so some image editing software is required.

To change the load splash, you will need additional 3rd party software and is quite a bit more tricky, so don't mess with that unless you know what you're doing.

I did this change with the King of Clubs Mordekaiser skin too...well, to be accurate, I just reverted back to the original one; to the one with the "illegal" cross on the chair.

As it apparently was offensive (BS!), that was all the reason I needed to put it back into the client.

I prefer to exchange information like this, and I currently need the information on how to create .swf compressed archives. Are they made using some Adobe software?

I want to mod the summoner icons, and while I have found the files that need editing, I can't currently recreate them; only open them and extract files, but not replace or insert anything.

I don't know how to create art either, like OP did through Photoshop - I only can cut, flip, rotate and basically just do peon stuff with existing images. I.e. really basic editing.

I just use Paint Shop Pro to cut and resize the images to suit my requirements.

Don't think I've ever had a single game installed that I've left as-is from the factory... Though Counter-Strike 1.3 was prolly the version I modded the hardest (AWP shot sound was the Yamato cannon from Starcraft and so on), I wrote an entire new difficulty setting for Crysis/Crysis: Warhead.

Good choice, I prefer him top lane rather than the jungle. His clears are too slow for my tastes and it takes him even longer to get going. I main Skarner JG for this reason, otherwise ZAC would be my first choice.

I haven't played him top, but I've been feeling that issue in the jungle.

He's not very good at ganking in 5's, but I bought him because my friends and I keep getting stomped by Zacs on twisted treeline. On that map, he can reach either lane from the jungle without ever being seen.

THE NEW IRELIA SKIN IS ON THE SAME LEVEL OF THE OLD ONE, MAKING THE CHANGE COMPLETELY A DOWNGRADE. Because why change something you're used to with something new when you already love it but its the same quality? And yes, change the background, cuz rito doesn't care.
