Sabrina, the (insert cheesy title)

Inspired by DotA's Invoker (and not intended to be anywhere near as flexible).

Sabrina, unlike Invoker, has only 2 orb slots instead of 3. However they are still the basis for her Ultimate, which changes between 6 different spells, all of which are tied to the same cooldown. This is basically a version of LeBlanc's mimic that changes based on her 2 most recently cast abilities. The abilities the Ultimate may cast are listed in the individual skills, with the actual description on the Ultimate.

Passive: Energy Transmutation

Sabrina gains an on-hit effect based on her most recently cast basic ability. Cooldown of 6 seconds.

Attribute: Earth - Sabrina's next basic attack slows the target's movement and attack rate by 5% per rank for 3 seconds. Attribute: Water - Sabrina's next basic attack inflicts a damage over time effect that deals 10% of her AP in magic damage over 5 seconds. Attribute: Air - Sabrina's next basic attack increases her attack speed by 5% per rank and deals an additional 4 magic damage per rank for 4 seconds.

Q: "Attribute: Earth"

Sabrina exchanges her oldest orb for an Earth Orb. Each Earth Orb increases her bonus armor by 2/4/6/8/10.

Spell Combinations: Earth-Earth: Quake Earth-Water: Mudslide Earth-Air: Sandstorm

Cooldown: 20/16/12/8/4

W: "Attribute: Water"

Sabrina exchanges her oldest orb for a Water Orb. Each Water Orb increases her HP/5 by 1/1.5/2/2.5/3.

Spell Combinations: Water-Earth: Mudslide Water-Water: Geyser Water-Air: Typhoon

Cooldown: 20/16/12/8/4

E: "Attribute: Air"

Sabrina exchanges her oldest orb for an Air Orb. Each Air Orb increases her movement by 3/4/5/6/7%.

Spell Combinations: Air-Earth: Sandstorm Air-Water: Typhoon Air-Air: Gale

Cooldown: 20/16/12/8/4

R: "Fuse Attributes"

Casts a spell based on her current attribute combination. Spell rank is based on this Skill's rank.

Cooldown: 25/20/15/10 (shared by all abilities this spell can cast.)

Quake (Earth-Earth): Target area (400 units wide) tremors for 5 seconds. Deals 20/40/60/80 (0.3 AP) magic damage per second, increased by 25% for every second that a unit remains in the area. (so this spell would deal, at rank 1, 20-25-30-35-40 with 0 AP assuming anything sits in the area for the full duration.) Geyser (Water-Water): Target area (200 units wide), after a 2 second delay, knocks up all enemies for 1 second, dealing 55/90/135/180 (0.7 AP) magic damage. Gale (Wind-Wind): Linear skill shot (200 wide, 800 range, very fast) deals 40/80/120/160 (0.4 AP) magic damage and slows the movement of all enemies struck by 10/20/30/40%. Mudslide (Earth-Water): Linear skillshot (400 wide, 500 range, Very slow) that snares all enemies hit for 1.5 seconds and deals 50/90/130/170 (0.8 AP) magic damage. Sandstorm (Earth-Air): Creates a raging whirlwind of sand (300 range) around Sabrina for 5 seconds, dealing 30/60/90/120 (0.4 AP) magic damage per second. Typhoon (Water-Air): Creates a vortex of water and wind (500 range) around Sabrina for 5 seconds. Enemies within range have movement slowed 20% and lose 5/10/15/20% of their total armor and magic resist.

So champions like Lee Sin, Jayce, Kalista, Elise and Nidalee are all too complicated for you?

I'm going to remind you that Invoker has 3 orb slots instead of 2, with more than 12 spells that he could cast, all on separate cooldowns.

The big differences between Sabrina and Invoker are as follows:

  1. Sabrina has 2 slots instead of 3, greatly reducing complexity.
  2. Sabrina has an auto attack bonus which allows her presence outside of casting spells. Invoker only gets extra damage and only when he has 1 or more Fire orbs active.
  3. Sabrina has all of her combination spells on the same cooldown. This reduces her overall complexity because she can't quickly switch between spells until late game.

I don't think she is overly complex. And with all of the more complicated kits Riot is putting out, I don't know why you're complaining.

Defensive much? Clearly you can't read the tone in writing. I was joking. JOKING. Relax your moobs before you shake them off.

As stated by another commenter, this is clearly more complex than what one would think the average league player is willing to take. I, along with a lot of others, do not want to have to spend hours trying to learn a complex champion and yes it does take hours for some of us. Games like these should be kept at a relatively simple level.

Complexity on this level should be in games like say... WoW(World of Warcraft) and the like as you invest hours, days, months, or years into a single character. It's not constantly changing like MOBAs.

But that's just my opinion and you are entitled to yours. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything. I just wanted to share my take on the direction you are proposing to take in champion concepts.

Cool, I love the idea of an invoker esque hero in league considering he is one of my favorite dota hero's, but I think this might be to complicated for the average league player at first.

Edit: Also to make it a little easier for people you could have what ever ability her ult would make showing but transparent so people know what their are going to make before they have all the spell memorized.

You know how LeBlanc's ultimate changes based on the last basic ability cast? It works off that concept where it checks each time a basic ability is cast and changes according to the pair of attributes when each ability is cast. Since all of her combination spells have the same cooldown (because they all operate on the R key, her R simply changes based on her current attribute pair), she won't need a bunch of separate timers where she can simply cast 3 different combination spells in 5 seconds. I feel that adds a huge degree of balance that Invoker simply didn't have while further adjusting her to a League setting.
