Possible new kogmaw passive

So kogmaws passive doesnt fit him at all. He is a hyper carry that is supposed to not die and yet gets sort of rewarded with dying. So I was thinking of something that would fit into his mouth of the void story which is:

Kogmaw gains 1 stack for killing enemy minion or small monster kogmaw gains 3 stacks for killing enemy cannon minion or large monster. Stacks provide 1 damage on hit to enemy champion, tower or epic monster. Stacks are depleted on use. I feel this would let kogmaw gain a little extra poke or seige ability while not giving him to powerful of a passive and it fits his kit/story.

So he can never stack for then 3 stacks? This makes no sense its literally 3 damage.

Kog'maw was designed at a time when Riot was pumping out champs as fast as possible often with awkward abilities and it really shows when compared to champions they produce today whose abilities mesh together so well and really represent the champion's role in the game. What you are suggesting could use a little more clarity, but instead of changing one ability I believe Kog would benefit more from a full rework.

Kog'maw has evolved from Riot's original imagining of the character and his kit and story definitely need to reflect that.
