Star Guardian Icon with Mastery effect

why is it now that when you have the star guardian icon on you no long have that cute mastery and its back to the original. In my opinion i think riot could have really capitalize on it. i would honestly buy more icons that made the mastery have a different effect. any thoughts on this?

I do think it's dumb how they take that away, however the new emotes system (as dumb as I think that is) seems to do what you're looking for.
