So I saw a video about ingenious hunter with zz portal and banner. but then i thought hm... what about using it on support. To me it brings much more utility than running resolve. You get up to 30% active item cdr and running support you run ruby sight stone which gives 20% active item cdr. 50% active item cdr is awesome! running Zombie ward as well helps to increase your warding potential as well since the cdr also goes towards trinkets. What are your guys thoughts? I got it to where frost queens is on a 35 second cd and redemtion at 40.

If going into the dom tree, it's certainly a strong option.

Insp (notably cosmic insight) or resolve (notably revitalize and/or font of life) both have their own merits though depending on particular champ, so if want wants sorc goodies as well, people are just pulled in too many directions.

Also remember you don't just get 30% item cdr for free, you actually need bounties for things to really come online, so it's not that great early on unless you're a super roamer making things happen all over the map.

edit: Also, zombie ward is super high priority if going dom secondary as sup, and then one is left with only one option. It's usually going to be something with more lane pressure like cheap shot or sudden impact in practice. But of course, the whole thing with runes reforged is that there isn't a 'best' option, and it's more about playstyles, so item active focused builds with IH are likely viable.

BUUUT

if I'm playing one of those super squishy supports like soraka name or sona I'm missing out on things like revitalize. and the tank supports lose a lot of well.... tankiness

No they dont if the player actually knows how to manage their mana bar properly.

bard is someone that i think works with it really well. you have the roam and mana band to me is a must have for his heals for the jungler

I use three to help out the jungler and almsot top him off with health. with mana band i only need to pick up three chimes to be back to full mana.

Why arent You Just Going back To base To Heal your Mana?

because why do that when mana band gets you a free shine and then the chimes that do come up bring me back to full mana and not needing to back at all.
