Rek'Sai = Kaiser

I was just looking at her name a bit more closely after listening to her various zerg references. And I realized that her name is a scrambled version of Kaiser. This could have something to do with Mordekaiser, but I was thinking it was actually another hidden reference to the zergs. The zerg heavy ground unit "Ultralisk" has two/four very large scythes on their arms and they're called KAISER BLADES Tell me I'm right!?

EDIT: This makes me wonder if all of the void champs are scrambled words of other references. o.O

Kaiser could possibly be just based on the fact that she's queen of the Xer'Sai, and Kaiser is a type of ruler.

Good catch.

And if you're wondering, you can look at the League wiki for where the Voidborn possibly got their names.

  • Cho'Gath's name is possibly derived from the Shoggoths from H.P. Lovecraft's mythos or Ku'Gath from Warhammer 40K.
  • Kog'Maw's could be based on the word kogmo (hardened mucus in the nose) with maw obviously referring to the mouth.
  • Kha'Zix 's could be based on the word "Kaizen", which is the concept of improving oneself through change - fitting for his character.
  • Vel'Koz's original title was "the Keeper of Secrets", so they interpreted that into his name instead as just "Koz".

Maokai is an anagram for "I Am Oak" so it's possible other champions' (not just void ones) names are anagrams also i'm pretty sure Teemo is an anagram for "Satan"

With what you said, I opened up an anagram solver. Here's what I got for all the Void champions:

Cho'Gath: Hatch Go Chat Hog Hath Cog

Kha'Zix: (None)

Kog'Maw: Gawk Om Mag Wok

Vel'Koz: (None)

Unless people that play Cho'Gath are chat spammers, I can't see any rearrangements that are anything profound. Theory debunked. ^^

Don't forget the obscure meanings of some of the names that are actually real words. For example, Sion can be a bible reference, or, a dictionary definition is "any form of social organization, way of life, or life after death regarded as an ultimate goal." Dr. Mundo is slang, meaning "Very large or very much; humongous, important." On a similar note, "Riven" is the past participle of the word "to rive," meaning to split or break apart.

Well it's worth mentioning that Kaiser itself is based off of Caesar. Same applies to Czar.

It's only natural to see similar names when referring to royalty, because so many powerful titles have a single common origin.

Nah because that would mean I would demand a torrasque skin... Actually wait. Wait..... Ok she's an ultralisk now. I demand a torrasque skin. Infact now I want a Lurker skin too, and not the shitty sc2 lurker... The broodwar lurker. The REAL lurker. The 17 supply 2 lurkers in your main lurker. The lurker you bought with under 30 supply and then it kills 8 marines in 2 shots because lelelel

When I first read the title, I thought you were talking about Keyser Soze.

If you looked at her Q ability name, you can see she is the horde queen of something. Honestly I think this champion is a Predalien.

http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140620013513/dvavp/images/7/71/Queen_Predalien_(3).jpg

The clicking noise she makes underground, the screams she makes when she dies or ults, and AND her laugh is a lot like the sound that the Predator hears as a laugh in the Predator movie.

Kha' zix is also from the void, but we know he's based on the alien. He would also be super low on the rung if we're talking about the theory that the first part of the void champion names are their rank (that was on reddit somewhere) and if he's a basic alien. And if you look at Rek' Sei's name again, and you look at the prefix "Rek" it kind of looks like "Rex" which means king.
