[Champion Concept] Sidma, the Gilded Scavenger
DISCLAIMER: I am not a lore junkie, and therefore some of the lore I wrote may clash with what exists. I apologize for this. Also, the values I have written for damage and the like are ballpark numbers that I came up with off the top of my head with some slight balance. Some of them are certainly overpowered because that was just more fun to realize the champion with. If it helps, just replace the numbers with "X"... Besides these things, enjoy and give me your thoughts. Thanks!
Sidma, the Gilded Scavenger
Background: Sidma is a mobile melee champion who uses his gold as resource to boost his allies as well as his own strength.
Lore: Sidma is a yordle child, who learned the ways of thievery to support himself after his family was robbed and killed by Noxian bandits. He went to Shurima to seek a more comfortable living when he was very young. He found out early on that he was a wonder in terms of stealing high value items. When he made his way to Shurima, after slipping past the Guardians of the Sands, he took an item known as The Talisman of Ascension. Sidma did not know that he had just stolen an item of great power; to him, it was simply a shiny object that was probably worth more than he knew how to calculate. However, he had not stolen any ordinary Talisman of Ascension; this was the original. This piece was in reality a token of the Aspect of Greed. Anyone who possessed this item ascended to become Greed’s successor. Suddenly, Sidma found his thoughts and body overwhelmed by gold. He no longer cared to support himself; this was but a joke to him. His ambitions were far greater now. Sidma could directly hear, smell, taste, and feel nearby valuables… And he needed to seize them. He had become the Aspect of Greed. “You owe me a debt. Gold perpetuates action; it is what fuels your strength. And it all belongs to me. You… belong to me.” –Sidma
(Innate) Sidma starts with an item that takes up one of his item slots, the Big Bright Bag, that provides him with his resource, bagged gold. All gold received is split in half; 50% goes to the bank as usual, the other 50% goes to his bag, with a maximum of 200 (+100 per level). Bagged gold cannot be spent in the shop; it can only be spent on abilities. All gold received that goes over the maximum bagged gold is not split and goes directly to the bank as usual. Sidma can activate the bag only on the summoner platform to bank his current bagged gold. (30 second cooldown)
(Passive) Spoils of Spoils: When Sidma receives gold from any source, he is healed for the amount received (halved from champion kills). When taking damage from a champion, his movement speed is increased by 50 for 2 seconds.
(Q) Gold Rush: Sidma plants his feet in the ground briefly before dashing a fixed distance toward the cursor, dealing damage to all targets hit, and activating his passive. Each subsequent Gold Rush in the next 10 seconds will cost twice as much bagged gold and deal additional damage. The cost and damage increase can stack up to 5 times. Killing a target with the dash refunds the bagged gold cost. Additionally, every champion hit with the dash reduces its cooldown by 1 second. Base Cost: 5/10/15/20/25 bagged gold Range: 500 (fixed) Cooldown: 8/8/7/7/6 seconds Base Magic Damage: 80/100/120/140/160 (+100% Ability Power) Additional Damage per stack: 20/30/40/50/60 (+50% Ability Power)
(W) Bullion Bash / Bullion Blade: (Toggle Off) Sidma wields his bag as a weapon, gaining gold per auto attack and dealing additional damage depending on how full his bag is. Cooldown: 3 seconds Gold per hit: 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 (+1% bonus Attack Damage) Physical Damage on hit: 10/20/30/40/50 (+2% current bagged gold) (Toggle On) Sidma wields a boiling hot blade of gold, fresh from his Big Bright Bag, increasing attack range and dealing true damage per strike at the cost of bagged gold. Cooldown: 3 seconds Cost: 4% maximum bagged gold True damage on hit: 2/2.5/3/3.5/4% maximum bagged gold (+2.5% Ability Power)
(E) Gilded Touch: Sidma lays a hand on an ally, giving them the “Gilded” buff, which increases their attack damage and decreases damage taken from critical hits. If a gilded minion dies near Sidma, he gains a permanent stacking attack speed buff. If a gilded champion dies near Sidma, he gains a larger temporary attack speed buff. Sidma cannot cast Gilded Touch on himself. Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 seconds Cost: 30/40/50/60/70 bagged gold Gilded Buff Duration: 8/9/10/11/12 seconds Allied Attack Damage increase: 30/50/70/90/110 (+50% bonus Attack Damage) Allied Critical Hit Damage Reduction: 50%/60%/70%/80%/90% Attack Speed on Minion Death: 1% permanent Attack Speed on Champion Death: 25% for 6 seconds
(R) Shiny Ascension: If his Big Bright Bag is full, Sidma can transform into the Golden Aspect of Greed, which increases his armor, blinds all enemies near him for a few seconds and applies Gilded Touch to all allies near him. While transformed, some of his other abilities are empowered. Gold rush no longer has a wind-up time and additionally blinds the first target hit. Bullion Bash/Bullion Blade gains damage based on his current BANKED gold. Cooldown: 150 seconds Cost: 500 bagged gold Duration: 16 seconds Empowered Gold Rush Blind Duration: 1/1.25/1.5 seconds Empowered Bullion Bash/Bullion Blade Physical Damage on hit: 5/7.5/10% current BANKED gold
