been meaning to pitch this one for a minute... and yeah i know we just got project yasuo but theres no reason something like this couldnt be in ritos backburners.
possibly having a taunt like vi or rengars that rasies and lowers his helmet visor
also he plays a pan flute and drinks from a leather flask
for his weapon, instead of katana he weilds a straight sword
if anyone sees this and likes the idea, please give me a quick bumperino

Going on, I really like the skin concept, the color choices, and the overall impact (the plume in place of the hair was indeed a clever solution), and there is one small suggestion I'd like to make. For his sword, have you thought replacing the longsword with a falchion or a scimitar?
The fact is, longswords don't really fit with Yasuo style of slashing since, as you probably know, most longswords were bastard blades, which means they were sharp on both sides of the weapon.
Yasuo handles his weapon that way because his weapon has only a sharp side , and thus he have to rotate and slash.
On the other hand, falchions and scimitars have only 1 sharp edge , while being western style enough to fit with the knight theme.

as for dropping the straight sword, I think you might be onto something. I thought a straight sword would be a nice change a pace that would go well with the knight look. But a falchion or scimitar would look just as good and they're only sharp on one side, which should be a constant with yas's sword in any skin. my only problem would possibly be that falchions and scimmys are too short. but this is just a skin for a video game, not LARPing or something. i guess it doesnt have to be historically accurate lol
the sword should definitely be modeled after your idea though! the last pic was rushed but imma tweak his sword and post a pic later, thank you for your feed back :)

Actually, while I hunted for images for my examples, I ran in quite some long scimitars(ouch!)
However, since their design was too fantasy or fancy, I opted for those regular-sized weapons, as I wanted only to convey what the general shape of the weapon would be , rather than the design (and ,you know, there were some weird things with barbs on the blunt side and hilt that look like they might cut your hands rather than enemy).
In short, I don't think it's impossible to stretch the size of the scimitar to make it similar to Yasuo's regular weapon of choice.

for 5 simple reasons.
Can be used with one hand (when hitting enemy champs animation) and two hands (when hitting turrerts animation). In conclusion, it is long enough to be used with two hands and one hand.
It's slim and long, and has a perfect one cutting edge. Meanwhile the flashion has one cutting edge (point given) and is long (and another point given) but it is really bulky (doesnt fit to ) .
The Scimitar originates in the middle east, that means that doesnt fit at all the knight theme djPregnant is looking for.
The Kriegsmesser literally translates to 'war knife' and thats f***ing awesome.
When we are talking about knight we think about a man that spent all his life learning how to fight (and a lot other stuff like other languages, religion etc). The falchion could be used by everyone meanwhile the Kriegsmesser was mostly used by professional warriors such as the Landsknecht.

SpartanJanitor1 votesI really like ideas for Yasuo skins that reference other warrior archetypes that shared similarities with samurai. I love the concept you have and I'd like to see it expounded upon. I'm not too fond of the pan flute though, it's a little out of place in my opinion. I could see a knight playing a simple wooden flute, but the pan flute reminds me more of central/south America where knights....didn't really show up.
djPREGNANT1 votestru, i was looking for other woodwinds for yas to play. after you said this i was looking at pan flutes more i noticed that yeah, they werent really anywhere near knights. as much as id like him to have his own unique instrument for this skin, i dont want something that doesnt even fit the theme
