Absolom Lightshield - King of the Shadow Isles

My idea for this character is a minion mancer who summons floating swords to harass enemies, similar to Yorick's ghouls in effect. Each sword when summoned leaves behind a zone of shadow energy that provides effects to party members when they enter into it. If a sword is destroyed the zone is removed and no longer provides its effect. As a support the characters offers group utility in the form of crowd control, damage buffs, and damage mitigation attached to his ult.

Details follow, please provide feedback so I can adjust the idea into a desirable kit.

Ability Power based Support / Mage

Passive Ability - Black Mist After using an ability, the next time Absolom Kills a minion or enemy champion, this ability heals Absolom and the nearest allied champion for 50 + (2% of their maximum health) health and grants them kill gold. This ability can only be triggered once every 5 seconds. Killing or receiving an assist on an enemy champion automatically resets and triggers black mist.

All of Absolom's basic abilities summon a Blade Spirit, a blade spirit is conjured from a shadow well; shadow wells grant abilies to nearby allies who pass through them. Shadow wells close when the spirit summoned by them is destroyed. All Shadow Well Auras have a radius of 250.

Q - Dark Castigation Range: 600 Cost: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 Mana Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 Active - Enemy Cast: Launches a debilitating curse at the enemy, summoning a Blade Spirit at the target's location, dealing 60/100/140/180/220 (+60% Ability Power) magic damage and stealing 14/17/20/23/26% Movement Speed from the target for 4 seconds. Shadow Well Aura: Once while the Blade Spirit remains active, allies who right clicks the shadow well, while standing within the aura, will travel to the location of the blade spirit summoned by the well.

W - King's Blade Range: 600 AoE Range: 250 Cost: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 Mana Cooldown: 10 Active - Absolom summons a Blade Spirit with a violent explosion, dealing 60/95/130/165/200 (+50% Ability Power) magic damage and knocking up nearby enemies for 0.5 second. Shadow Well Aura: Once while the Blade Spirit is active, allies tagged by the aura increase their Movement Speed by 10/12/14/16/18% (+[7.5% Ability Power]%) and will ignore unit collision for 2 seconds.

E - Slipped Seaming Range: 475 AoE Range: 250 Cost: 90 Mana Cooldown: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 Active: Absalom clears himself of any crowd control effects and then dashes a short distance in the targeted direction, summons a Blade Spirit, and causes nearby enemies to flee in terror for 1.5 seconds. Shadow Well Aura: Once while the Blade Spirit remains active, all nearby allies tagged by the aura will deal 10/20/30/40/50 (+20% Ability Power) bonus magic damage on their next attack made within 3 seconds

Note: Absolom transforms himself into a shadow elemental for the brief moment he is dashing.

R - Anointed by Shadow Range: 900 AoE Range: 250 Cost: 100 Mana Cooldown: 110 / 95 / 80 Passive: Triggering Black Mists now also restores 40/80/120 mana to both Absolom and the nearest ally. Active: Absolom grants himself or an allied champion damage reduction of 40/50/60% for 8 seconds and deals 20/40/60 (+20% Ability Power) magic damage to nearby enemies each time the target is hit by an enemy champion attack or ability. The cool down of Anointed by shadows is reduced by 3 seconds every time Black Mist is triggered.

Note: If Absolom is the target of Anointed by Shadows he becomes a shadow elemental for the duration of the buff. If an ally is targeted they have a shadow elemental loom over their avatar for the duration of the buff in similar fashion to Udyr when he activates a stance.

Lore: In ages past there was a great and powerful king. This great king was benevolent and fair, ruling his kingdom with grace and mercy. Then one day tragedy befell him. His beloved daughter fell ill and despite the best efforts of all the physicians and healers in the land, she passed away, which crushed the heart of the king.
A shadow fell over all the land as the king was lost in his grief. He had begun to disappear for days into the libraries that dotted the land and was spending much time in private consultations with the many scholars and occultists that were present in his kingdom. A sort of madness overtook the once noble king in his search for an answer, how to restore the princess who had been wrongfully taken. Rumor was that he had begun to dabble in forbidden magics. For years he found nothing and then an answer presented itself. A mysterious traveler had appeared with words of an island that teamed with life and magic. There a gate to the afterlife could be found. The mad king was enamored with the idea. A gate was a simple obstacle between him and his beloved daughter. The king ignored the traveler’s warnings of the mist and shadows that lingered there. Surely there was nothing to be feared there for such a great and powerful king. The kingdoms best soldiers were gathered and the most talented sorcerers were commissioned to find any means with which to breach the gate and bring back the princess. They set sail soon after in search of the magical place.
The island was found, just as the mysterious traveler had said, southeast of Bilgewater shrouded in a mist. The island was magnificent as none present had seen before and his spirits were lifted. Surely here, in this place, such a gate could be found and his daughter restored.
The king's sorcerers' located a wellspring of magical power there, erected alters to tap into its vast reserves and breached the gate. So caught up in the restoration of his beloved daughter, the king did not notice the terrible darkness that poured forth from the crack now open between the two worlds. The rift was open and all the life energy of the surrounding forest and its inhabitants poured in, draining the land to fuel the void. The laughter of the mad king filled the air. With his followers at his side, Mordekaiser Hecarim the now twisted king stepped into the darkness leaving the black mist to those who remained, disappearing into history and legend. Rumor has it that the king has been there searching in the mist for his daughter and that he has found her found but unable to return. The gate was not open far enough for her to escape. Maokai Maokai, the now Twisted Treant had spoiled the ritual and escaped with the key to her return. Now he is being hunted by the terrible king, his minions, and his black mists. Absolom the King of the Shadow Isles has returned bringing the madness of the harrowing to the ranks of the League of Legends, searching out the Treant in hopes that finally his precious daughter be restored, destroying any who would stand before him.

I designed Absolom with the thought that he was, and is still, a mighty king. I wanted to preserve the fact that he was originally a king of light and only due to madness at his grief did he become the twisted king that brought the horror of the harrowing. I pieced together as much lore as i could locate in attempts to bring cohesion to the story already present in the game about the shadow isles and its creation.

My thoughts on the matter; he was previously a mercenary type king, but due to his fall he turned away from steel and more towards magic. An AD champion with this kit would be extremely dangerous and would not really fit the idea of a support. The present kings and queens in the game Azir Gangplank Trundle Sejuani Lissandra Elise JarvanIV are more in your face and i think it suits a king to rule from the back.

Its just an idea, Riot is going to change anything they are not satisfied with. The idea is to create something that the general populace finds interesting. This particular niche is small... The Shadow Isles has not been fleshed out very much. The king also has been mentioned a number of times but is still missing in action. Perhaps with enough support Riot will make their own version perhaps entirely unique from this idea, but I am hoping to plant seeds here mostly.

Not very interesting, we've seen all of these abilities before and I don't think you should be in charge of creating the lore for an already existing major character in the lore of LoL.
