Marshall is a mercenary of Noxus, but that's not to say he's not willing to work for anyone else.. For the right price.

Marshall is a ranged support that in conjunction with his ultimate, can give his team very powerful advantages, but with a very high focus on his positioning and managing to hit the correct targets with all his skillshots.

**Passive: At What Cost? ** - Marshall can jump from 1 void tear to the other. Doing so will consume both tears and take a hefty toll on his current health. His abilities are also augmented when the travel through a void tear.

Q: Stabilized Blast - Marshall shoots an orb of energy from his gun, exploding in a small area once hitting the first enemy hit or reaching maximum range. Enemies damaged by the blast are slowed. Augmented Q: Unstable Blast - The blast radius and damage are slightly increased, as well as causing a brief stun before slowing.

W: Mending Particles - Marshall shoots a ray of energy from his gun, healing any allies it comes in contact with. Augmented W: Invigorating Particles - Allies also receive a small movement speed boost and an additional 5% of maximum HP is healed.

E: Energy Shield - Marshall throws a small capsule, shielding the first allied champion hit. Augmented E: Force Shield - The shield is slightly stronger as well as blocking the first enemy ability used on the shielded champion.

R: Void Tear - Marshall can rip a tear to the void with his gun. Allowing his abilities to pass through them or consume the tears by jumping through them. (Starts with 1 point in his Ultimate at level 1) R: Void Tear Passive - Marshall gains a 10%/15%/20% movement speed bonus for each Void Tear currently opened.

Ability Rundown

Starting with his ultimate, for a small mana cost you can open a Void Tear at your mouse location, the ability is cast with a click and drag similar to Rumble's Ultimate in the sense that you can decide which direction is the exit point of your abilities. The first cast has a small/mid cast range for placing the first tear, you then have ~3 seconds to place the 2nd tear. The 2nd cast has a decently farther casting range, allowing you to extend the range of your abilities by going through the first tear and exiting the 2nd at a farther distance. Once the 2nd Tear has been placed you have ~6seconds before both Tears will collapse on their own, going on CD. The passive movement speed boost is to allow him to easier position himself to angle his abilities out of the void tears much easier, or can be used as an escape tool without losing your innate passive and paying the health cost. The ultimate in general should have a high cooldown(30 Seconds?), making it very important in team fights to position your void tears properly or you will lose out on a lot of utility if you cannot hit your skill shots. This is also Marshall's biggest weakness and counterplay, being that when his ult is on cooldown he is losing is hard CC and valuable spellshield.

His passive does seem like a Kassadin rip, but I feel like it has it's own unique features to make it it's own. There is a cooldown on the passive so you cannot do it everytime you have Void Tears up, something like 1-2minutes. The health cost would be painful depending one when you use it, about 20% Current hp, but seeing as it will mostly be used as your escape, that shouldn't be too bad. Because using his passive also consumes the Void Tears, you lose out on your augmented abilities so you have to make sure to jump at the right time.

His Q is a rather basic skill shot nuke with some CC attached. I wanted to avoid making it too similar to Jayce's Q when travelling through the acceleration gates so there is no speed up when augmented. Seeing as this is his only damaging ability it could have some good base damage but would need a high mana cost to stop from making your poke as a support too strong. Tying the stun to the augmented version also makes it very important you and your void tears are in position to hit your target.

His W would function and look similar to how Ezreal's W functions, being that it is a skillshot that hits everything until it reaches max range but without hitting enemies. Again being able to position yourself to be able to heal as many targets as possible would be key but it is also more forgiving on not using your Void Tear because you only lose a movement speed boost and max hp% healing.

His E is definitely a skill shot. Throwing out a capsule which is basically just an orb of energy, shielding the first friendly champion hit. The augmented shield adds a spellshield just like banshee's Veil to your target but wouldn't actually stack being able to block 2 abilities, it would remove both buffs from 1 hit. This would add a lot durability to your carries, if you can hit them. The shield would also have to be quite strong seeing as how it's a skillshot so there is actual skill and risk compared to a point and click shield.

Lore: Growing up as an orphan is usually a difficult life to live, but Marshall seemed to flourish in the lifestyle. Without having people to constantly watch him as a boy he was always getting into risky situations for his own gains, but also always getting away with it. Learning to fend for himself and doing odd jobs for the people of Noxus let him live quite the comfortable life for an orphan. Eventually everyone slips up at one point and Marshall was caught trying to steal from an ex-solider of the Noxus army. Seeing as Marshall had nowhere to go they enlisted him in the army to pay his dues. Again Marshall flourished; the life of a soldier allowed him to hone some of the skills he learned as a child and eventually he even reached a rather high ranking among the army. Even with a more comfortable life than the one he knew as an orphan, he missed the freedom he possessed and being his own boss. Without a trace Marshall fled the Noxus empire and the drifted the land before him. Over the years he became popular for his abilities of being able to get any job done for the right price, becoming an expert thief, hitman and even bodyguard.

With Viktor's paranoia consuming him over the fact that he may once again be robbed of the credit of his next greatest creation, Viktor found himself hiring Marshall to protect him and his creations until the day he could reveal his masterpiece. At first Marshall was no more than a bodyguard to stand by Viktor's side, but Viktor learned to trust the man and started asking for favors, such as finding key components needed for his invention. Although almost always honorable to his word, Marshall grew tired of being tied to this single job and again longed for the freedom. Again he was gone without a trace to Viktor... Other than his latest prototype going missing that is. Marshall had stolen the precious Void Gun that Viktor had been creating, allowing a temporary portal to the Void to be open in mid air, but because it was still an early prototype, the Void Tears were unstable and could not remain open for long, but there was definitely great power behind that who possessed it.

That about breaks it down. I just really wanted to try and do a champ that has a high skill cap being a 100% skill shot dependent support. A very strong emphasis on being in the right position and making the right decisions one when to ult, where to place them and hitting the correct targets.

I made a concept exactly like this a while back, but it was for a Zaunite bounty hunter. Would be interesting to say the least.
