Avion, the Tactical Assassin
Description: I think about a month ago or two, I made Avion as the Dead Eye'd Overwatch. I decided to remake him because I wanted to remake his ability and lore. Also, the title from his previous concept didn't really appeal as much as I wanted it to. Though his concept is similar from his last. His abilities are all silent. He uses suppressed weaponry to shoot his foes from spots where they cannot see or hear him. Here's the details.
Stats: Attack - 100% Health - 40% Magic - 50% Difficulty - 75%
Attributes: Primary - Marksman Secondary - Assassin
Abilities: Passive - Stealth is Golden >Primary All of Avion's attacks (Except his ultimate) are silent. Using basic attacks or abilities will not reveal his position outside of enemy vision or within brushes. If an ally reveals their position in the brush with Avion, Avion will turn invisible for 6 seconds. >Secondary If he gets spotted but manages to get away from the enemies' visual range, he leaves behind a ghostly figure that marks his last revealed position. Only Avion and his allies can see this ghost. This also activates upon leaving the sight of enemy wards. (It's like in Splinter Cell. If the spy, or in its case, Sam Fisher, gets spotted by the guards, if he manages to hide, a ghostly figure of him is left behind to show his last known position)
First Ability - Crossbow Shocker Avion fires an electronic bolt from his cross bow at a target direction, dealing magic damage to the first target it hits. The target is then slowed and is unable to use attacks or abilities for 2 seconds.
Second Ability - Marking Magnum Avion uses a silent Magnum to shoot a selected target, dealing attack damage. For 4 seconds, the target is then marked, taking 25% more damage from Avion's attacks.
Third Ability - Poison Gas Avion tosses a gas bomb at a target area, spreading poisonous gas at a 250 radius upon landing for 4 seconds. Enemies within the radius during the 4 seconds will be blinded (Unable to land basic attacks) and take magic damage that stacks the longer they remain within the gas.
Ultimate - Sniper Assassin
Avion roots himself in place to equip a High Caliber Sniper Rifle that shoots at a long range (Almost as long as
's Ace in the Hole ability). Avion can shoot 4 skill shots before cool-down. Each shot deals physical damage and it stacks as it hits the same target. Switching targets will start over the stack, however. Enemies can block the shots by walking in its path. During activation, Avion will disappear but each shot will reveal him for 1.5 second(s). Visibility quickly fades during reveal time.
Special Passive II - Spies like Us While invisible, if Avion runs into an enemy that's also invisible, both him and the invisible enemy will remain revealed for 6 seconds. (The name of this passive and the effects are based on the achievement, Spied like Us, from Team Fortress 2 where you run into an enemy cloaked spy while you are cloaked as a spy yourself)
Special Passive II - "Get to the Choppa!"
If Avion activates recall while Omega Squad
is recalling, the recall time for Avion will sync with Omega Squad
's. This is so that they will both return to base in the same Chopper.
Synergy:
-
Works well with
Stealth is the key to finding the right moment to strike with team attacks. By hiding in the brush with Teemo, Avion could kite the foes and lure them into the brush where Teemo could ambush them with his poisonous darts. Better yet, Avion could continue to silently pick off his foes as they move into Teemo's Mushrooms.
The hunt is quite a thrill when it comes to fighting with Rengar. When Rengar leaps into his foes, he will not reveal Avion's position, giving Avion the right time to shoot as he remains in the shadows. Although Rengar considers his shooting methods as cheating, still, they need to prioritize killing the targets and destroy their Nexus.
Stealth operations are never clean. In fact, they really smell. But rats like Twitch can be very useful pets when it comes to Ambush. By turning invisible, Avion can stay hidden as Twitch fires his first bolt. As his smell keeps his enemies distracted, Avion can fire his guns rapidly without a peep ever to be heard. -
Struggles against
With a good hand at every draw, Twisted Fate will always see Avion's Destiny. Avion can't hide while Twisted Fate has him on sight.
Avion best leave this target to Rengar. Even if Avion is hiding in the grass, he's not exactly invisible. Avion maybe stealthy but he can't really see the stealthy people either so Kha'Zix could simply use Void Assault and find Avion without being spotted, giving him the ambush advantage to take him out.
By sending out her Sentinels, they can find and reveal Avion's position within the brushes without having their host getting in range of his attacks. Not only that but Avion will have to deal with a horrific, or in his case, annoying scream that keeps following him until he shoots it in the face.
Tips:
-
Playing as Avion > If you are clearing out minions in lanes, try doing from the brushes so that the enemy team does not suspect your position. > Move to a different hiding spot if your allies reveal their position within the same brush. You can continue your stealth tactics once you get there. > If you are spotted and leave behind a ghost of your last known position, try moving at a different direction away from where it is facing. That way, the enemies will search for you through the wrong spot. >If suddenly your ghostly figure appears without any enemy team member spotting you at close range, that means a ward has been planted nearby. Search and destroy the ward or leaves the warded area as soon as possible.
-
Playing against Avion > Kill Avion as soon as you see him and don't lose track if he tries to run. > Use wards to track down Avion if he is attempting to ambush your team. > If you are suddenly taking damage, that means Avion is attacking you. You may not see his position but some of his abilities show projectiles that fly from his position. Follow the path of where the projectiles come from and you will find Avion's hiding place. > Avion's Sniper Rifle is very loud. Once you hear a shot fired, try to find some cover. If you are within range, each shot will fire tracer rounds. Follow those shots and you'll find Avion's hiding place.
Lore: Ever since the League of Legends came about, there had been many secret operations taking place outside the league. Each one with the intention of sabotaging the rival cities. The most frequent ones were between Demacia and Noxus. Many secret operations from both groups are all about attempting to sabotage or destroy the other group. But the problem is their operations have failed every single time. Some didn't even get the chance to start.
The sabotaging was the work of a secret organization called the Peaceful Ascension, formed by the Summoners of the Institute of War, it consists of group of secret agents capable of infiltrating and sabotaging enemy operations off the radar while not leaving a trace or any sign of their activity taking place.
No one but the summoners within the Institute of War know about the Peaceful Ascension.
But one day, something went wrong. One of the summoners was caught leaking information about the organization into the League of Legends. The summoner was executed right on the spot but it was too late to prevent him from leaking the information. They learn that it was leaked into the League of Legends. One of the champions have that intel and one of the agents will have to go undercover as a fellow league member, to find that information and have the target executed permanently.
"We are sending our agent, Avion Lancer to this operation. But anytime he is to be summoned for a match, I will take command of his operations within the battlefield. Whoever has our stolen intel, they must be planning on bringing it back to their city. We can't allow that to happen. We need to find this thief and find out if they've already leaked it back into their residence.
Avion, keep an eye on every member in the battlefield but do not allow them to suspect why you are there.
If the world cannot live peacefully, they'll have to die trying." - Commander Hodwen, a.k.a. AWACS Trigon.
Appearance: Avion wears light, black armor with a black cloak. He carries a semi-fire Hextech Silenced Rifle with a Hextech Suppressed Magnum and Crossbow. His poison gas bomb sends out green gas that fades once the ability duration expires. He's also carrying a high caliber sniper rifle on his back. If Sniper Assassin is active, he'll place his silent rifle on the holster on his right hip before drawing the rifle. Then he kneels down to use the weapon. The ghost he leaves behind for his passive is white, much like the ghostly figure in Splinter Cell Conviction and Blacklist. So yeah, this guy is based off of Splinter Cells, mostly from Blacklist since it also includes sniper rifles.
Skins:
- Gillie in the Mist Avion
- Special Forces Avion
Relationship: Pretty much everyone in the League of Legends is considered hostile, even if they become personal friends with the Avion.
Quotes:
Avion does not talk when you play as him. You'll only hear his commander, Howden, a.k.a. AWACS Trigon talk to him on the microphone. Similar radio sounds like
when he talks. Trigon is suppose to sound like John Price from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1-3.
-
Upon Selection "This is AWACS Trigon. I'll be directing our Agent for this Op."
-
Attacking "There's a target coming. Stay out of sight." "Tango on your six." "Stay clear of open areas and engage." "Hostile up ahead." "Don't let them see you, Avion." "Analyze and Execute."
-
Movement "Location has been marked." "Head for the rally point." "Proceed with caution." "Keep within the shadows, Agent." "Watch out for trackers." "Keep an eye on your radar." "Stay alert, stay alive."
-
Starting the match "Landing successful. Begin the operation." "Stand by. Hostile forces are present." "Gear up before leaving the landing zone."
-
Starting match with Special Forces
or Omega Squad
"We've sent fellow agents for this Op. Make sure you all return home safely."
"Just fight the way they do. Don't let anyone suspect why we are here." -
Taunt (Only the Avion's summoner will hear Hodwen) (Avion Shrugs) "They're not much, Avion. This match might be a waste of time."
-
Joke (Avion place his microphone on his ear to hear Trigon) "No Avion, we're not gonna abort because three alarms were triggered. This is no game, Agent." "I've never seen so many ugly faces present in one battle. Then again, I've never seen so many pretty faces either."
-
Moving from Dance "Back to work, Agent." "I hope no one saw that, Avion." "Remind me to forget that."
Well, I'm out. So, what do you guys think? What should I do with this character? How do I make him better?
