Zyra Rework Idea???

Hey guys had an interesting kit for one of my initial champion concepts I thought I could do some rewording and implement it to work with Zyra, sorry if the wording and all is bad and numbers in it are just examples ect.. The way Zyra would look here is that she would be in/on a flower/rose which has 4 major vines as legs.

Zyra Rework/Update Idea. Zyra starts the game in her Bramble Form

Passive- Root Network When Zyra and her plants attack the same target they all do x increased damage to that target. Zyra and her plants are connected, if Zyra leaves the plants alone they go dormant and begin to wither. (x second lifespan when left alone, maximum of x plants)

Q- Deadly Bloom/Rise of the Thorns Deadly Bloom: Zyra sets a seed sprouting a Thorn Spitter in a targeted area which is under Zyra's control attacking Zyra's targets. (Seeds stored periodically, up to a maximum of 2 stored at once) Thorn Spitter- (Ranged, immobile)

Rise of the Thorns: As Zyra is out (not in flower), she unleashes Thorns all around her travelling outwards (similar to Nautilus E, travels faster), dealing damage and reducing enemy's magic resist for x seconds. The first wave/closest thorns are greater in size causing enemies hit by these to be knocked up for 1 second.

W- Rampant Growth/Grasping Roots Rampant Growth: Target Vine Lasher/Thorn Spitter over grows causing it to combust, spraying thorns. If more plants are nearby when one is combusted the effect chains onto them increasing the explosion radius and damage. The plant that was first targeted with this spell heals for the portion of the damage dealt not the ones that chain with the explosion. (more damage with more plants)

Grasping Roots: Zyra sends a surge of vines in the targeted direction, dealing damage to enemies hit and rooting them.(like the E we have on Zyra now but travels faster, and root duration lower) If grasping roots passes over a Vine Lasher seed, the seed sprouts with increased attack speed for 4 seconds. Vine Lasher- (attacking enemies with short ranged attacks that slow its target by 30% for 2 seconds, they also chase after the most recent attacked champion by Zyra or one of her plants, Zyra can't control Vine Lashers but they do interact with Zyra's passive Root Network, they also wither over time, 10 second lifespan)

E- Regrow/Stranglethorn Shield Regrow: Active- Zyra targets one of her plants (Thorn Spitter) which then burrows under the ground, dormant. second cast, targeted area causes the plant to Regrow there. (used to reposition plants/Thorn Spitters)

Passive- When a Thorn Spitter is destroyed by Rampant Growth it leaves a Vine Lasher seed behind/in it's place planted (invisible, these seeds have a 30 second life span, only 2 of the destroyed plants would plant a Vine Lasher seed, if chained with W destroying multiple plants). Every time Zyra uses Rampant Growth on a plant she heals for x amount.

Stranglethorn Shield: Zyra encases herself or a plant in a thicket of thorny vines granting a shield, when enemies attack Zyra or the plant the vines spring from the shield and latch onto the attacker, constricting them. This effect ends after 10 seconds where the vines then wither or if the enemy retreats to a certain distance causing the vines to break. If Zyra/plant is nearby other plants the vines would latch onto the nearby plants as well granting them a weaker shield but also has the same effect against enemy champions. (Enemy champions who attack plants with the shield have vines attach onto them ect...)

R- Blossom/Bramble (4 second cooldown) Blossom: Zyra's brambles unwind as her flower opens revealing her and granting her a new set of devastating abilities. (Increased basic attack range and and movement speed in this form.)

Bramble: Zyra withdraws into her flower closing, covered by brambles (Thorned vines) protecting her. (Zyra has increased defences and mana regeneration. Zyra has decreased basic attack range in this form.)

Bramble Form -Deadly Bloom -Rampant Growth -Regrow -Blossom Blossom Form -Rise of the Thorns -Grasping Roots -Stranglethorn Shield -Bramble

Whats up my friend ! Man ! Obviously you've spent a lot of time thinking and typing those ideas, and honestly I like them so much, it seems that you like Zyra so much(allow me to say that after you my friend) and me too ! I think those are really impressive ideas I agree with you that they make Zyra so powerful. On the other hand Zyra now will be little harder but so strong and I don't know maybe it will work well in the game or maybe there will not be a counter for her and become so strong who knows ... I don't want to judge at all or leave you disappointed no, I support you bro, and it's really great to see players trying to help and making that amazing ideas ! Hope that those powerful abilities won't be supernatural, let's see how the specialists will say about that and wish about those ideas to be in the game (maybe with some modifications) and I will be so glad when they talk about it. And I have a big ambition that they will do and they will add them in game soon . Nice work my friend your work and ideas look so good !

i really like a lot of these ideas and this whole kit in general. i'm just having trouble visualizing her transformation. like what does she look like exactly? also, why a transformation? (since they are notoriously hard for riot to balance). the only problems i have are with her moving plants and her passive. the moving plants is just kinda weird in general since maokai and zyra were kinda special in this regard. also, you could do some really cool stuff if her plants were stationary, like create a slowing dmg over time vine wall between them when you cast "grasping roots" to link them. her passive seems like too much dmg(OP pls nerf heimerdinger all over again) i mean the more plants you have attacking the more dmg you get already, but to add dmg on top of that seems like it will really limit the kit since everything will have to be balanced around all that potential dmg outplut that will just sneak up on people.

Seems like a good concept except that it completely changes her mid late game one shot potential. Personally I like being able to one shot squishies as a reward for playing well and would not like to play this kind of “sustain harass” Zyra. Just MO because I like casters and she feels like the perfect amount of immobile and powerful to be considered balanced if not slightly underwhelming. Thing is in the right hand modern Zyra can whipe a team fight solo with just good positioning and this seems detrimental to that concept

what if you could plant seeds that had to sprout and grow over time? like a building in any rts? so then its like youre planting your own garden to fight with later.

I do not agree :[ (This is just a counter-argument since I do not agree with the direction of the proposed changes in the OP. Civil debate: go!)

Riot is doing a mage UPDATE not a rework. This to me feels very much like a new zyra and foreign from her current (which I love).

The changes should be minor and freshen up her already established kit for her playerbase somewhat like Caitlyn's level of an update.

I don't think zyra should be given a buff to her stats (your mentioned R). She is meant to be squishy and requires top notch positioning.

If you manage to find and close in on Zyra, she should be fucked.

Also,I don't like the thought of Zyra being able to shapeshift freely. She is a parasitic evil force that attaches herself to a new body once the old one has run its course. Giving her a respawn animation (coming out of a flower bud) would be a lot better for her already established kit. IE something that doesn't affect her gameplay but adds her lore.
