[Champion Concept] Fenne, the Blades of Conflict
"Quick, give me an idea for a champion concept."
"All the edge."
Appearance: Fenne isn't even humanoid. Curved blades, each about half an inch from each other, form a spherical core that serves as Fenne's body and legs. Broken sword pieces form what almost looks like arms. Four such arms extend out from the core. The head is comprised of a mass of metal, with two yellow wisps of flame comprising the eyes.
Stats: Health: 570 (+81) Health Regen: 8.1 (+0.7) Mana: 260 (+55) Mana Regen: 7.6 (+0.6) Attack Damage: 63 (+3.6) Attack Speed: 0.638 (+3.2%) Armor: 30 (+3) MR: 30 (+1) Attack Range: 125 Move Speed: 350
Abilities:
Passive: Relics of the Past - Blade fragments are scattered across the map, periodically spawning at the rate of 1 per 20 seconds after minions spawn. Killing a large monster or getting a champion kill or assist force-spawns a fragment. Picking up a fragment grants 0.3% extra damage on Fenne's abilities and 1 armor and heals 10 (+5/level) HP. Each fragment slowly builds upon Fenne's model to make him look more humanoid.
Q: Flechette Whirl - Fenne's arms explode and whirl about him, dealing damage to everyone in range over two seconds. Applies on-hit effects on the first instance of damage. Prevents autoattacking while active.
Total Damage: 30/70/110/140/170 (+1.2 total AD) Radius: 225 Mana Cost: 65 Cooldown: 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds
W: Keen Edges - Passively causes Fenne to damage enemies touching him. When activated, flings Fenne forward, applying the passive damage and embedding fragments in all champions struck for four seconds, amplifying the damage from Fenne's abilities.
Passive Damage: 40/55/70/85/100 (+0.2 bonus AD) Cooldown on Same Target: 3 seconds Dash Range: 400 Damage Amplification: 5%/7.5%/10%/12.5%/15% Mana Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 Cooldown: 13/12/11/10/9 seconds
E: Impending Blades - Causes blades to orbit a target champion for 2.5 seconds, dealing damage around the champion (does not harm the target champion if it is an enemy). At the end of the duration, grants a brief shield for 2 seconds that deflects the next autoattack if an ally, or inflicts an 80% slow for 0.5 seconds if an enemy.
Total Damage: 90/140/190/240/290 (+1.0 bonus AD) Range: 600 Mana Cost: 80 Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds
R: Reformation - Launches a giant sword composed of the fragments Fenne has picked up. It pierces minions and strikes the first enemy champion it hits, dealing damage and reducing armor based on Fenne's fragments. If Impending Blades is active on the enemy, instantly triggers the slow for twice the duration.
Damage: 50/75/100 plus 8/12/16 per fragment Armor Shred: 20/25/30 plus 1/1.5/2 per fragment Duration: 3 seconds Range: 1000 Mana Cost: 100 Cooldown: 80/75/70
Lore:
In life, Fenne was a powerful champion of Demacia. Leader of a small company dispatched to safeguard the borders, Fenne took great joy in defending the weak. While defeating a pack of bandits, Fenne saved a woman, Solette, who insisted on joining Fenne in his duties. Fenne accepted, and trained Solette in the ways of warfare. His company was successful at thwarting many attempts on destroying the peace, and Fenne began to fall in love with Solette.
On one fateful day, a Noxian platoon took over a village to establish an outpost for further Noxus attacks. Fenne's company was sent to the scene to liberate the village. On their arrival, the Noxian officer walked out to negotiate with Fenne. Fenne's skill and leadership were not unnoticed, and his talents would be better served with Noxus. Being loyal to Demacia before all else, Fenne refused, only to be stabbed in the back by Solette, whom the officer had contacted first. His company fought bravely, and stalled the impending Noxian invasion long enough for help to arrive, but Solette had fled the scene and the rest of the company were killed to a man.
This would have been the end of it were it not for an enterprising Zaunite mage. Gathering the broken and discarded blades of everyone on the battlefield, the Zaunite created a construct from those blades and cast a ritual to bring forth a soul to animate them. Fenne's attachment to his company pulled him from beyond the grave and into the construct, against his will. Wracked with despair at his fate and the fate of his men, Fenne lost control and quickly shredded the Zaunite. With no companions to count on and a false body, Fenne could only hope to carry on his original duty - keep Demacia's borders safe, no matter what they may think of him.
Fenne is intended to be a tanky ADC caster of sorts. He can jungle with his effective AoE damage, and as the game goes on, he can gain armor from fragments, allowing him to be more aggressive in his itemization. Even if he falls behind, he can use his E to keep allies safe and add extra damage to other melee champions, and throw out his R to render a target far more vulnerable to the team marksman. He doesn't do well with knockbacks, throwing him out of range of his Q and moving him too far away for him to capitalize on his E. It's not too hard to kite Fenne once he blows his dash, either.
