Crossover Skins?

As big as League is I'm surprised we haven't seen any sort of crossover skins from different franchises. Hell, even some more smaller MOBAs on mobile phones got even a DC superhero champions they made. Even Hyper Universe got a Power Ranger. And these crossovers I've mentioned are not even skins they're actual champions.

It would be cool to see Kled have some sort of Mario and Yoshi skin or something. Or maybe Sion having a cool Planet Hulk skin with his warrior outfit and all. Kai'Sa wearing the Venom symbiote suit. The crossover skins would be ENDLESS.

But, IDK what they have in mind for crossovers like this. I would love to see something cool like this in the future. Other games can do it why not League of Legends? Just a food for thought.

Well, Ninja Rammus is a nod to TMNT. I'm positive there are others (a lot of older ones), but I'm too tired to search them down.

Some things are clearly inspired by other media (Star Guardian emulates mahou shoujo and Gun Goddess MF is obviously based on various mecha anime), but I think Riot would prefer to explain their own world within the League, and alternate universes within the world.

Not like Tencent doesnt have the connections. But there's no real point to it, i suppose. I appreciate league staying true to its own universe, exclusively.

Crossovers require licensing fees if you're directly taking content from other companies and using it. Or, it's cheesy advertising. Neither of these options is particularly appealing to League because they utterly break the user experience and give a real "sell out" feel to the game. It's fine to have little easter egg homages, but not direct crossovers.
