@riot champ designers, how did you get your job?

First and foremost, if you are here to contribute thank you for taking the time to help me with my research. I'm currently a college student still deciding on a major/career and I'm hoping that any information I learn from personal accounts in this thread will help me decide my path. I'm sure many people using this subforum will also be interested in hearing from you and learning what it's like to be a Riot employee.

With that out of the way, onto the actual questions. Not all of them need to be filled but I'd appreciate as many as possible.

How did you decide that this was the direction you wanted to take your life?

How did you get your current job/how did you find it?

What would be the ideal major for a college student to have to get where you are now?

What advice can you give to begining students to help them prepare for entering this work field, aside from classes?

How many hours do you work per day, on average? What exactly do you spend most of those hours doing?

Is it required to know any programming languages (C++ etc.), and if so, how many and how fluent do you have to be in them?

What do you enjoy the most about your career?

What do you find to be the most difficult or frustrating part of your job?

How many other games or personal projects have you worked on/how many companies or teams have you worked for before getting into Riot?

As far as being part of a gaming industry company goes, how exactly do you advance in position? How stable is your job?

What impact does your career have on your personal life?

Has being a part of Riot opened up any other opportunities for you? Does being in a certain company give you connections to others etc.

If you were 18 and just started life again, would you still want to get into the same career you have today?
