Malzahar Rework Idea (Based around his Voidlings!)

Overview

I created this kit that will focus Malzahar around his Voidlings. And with extra company, he can be able to jungle as well!

Compared to live, this kit's Voidlings will have overall stats based on Malzahar's level, while the offensive stats will be increased minorly with his AP. Though he will have a weak gank, his Voidlings will gank for him.


Voidlings Permanent Voidlings can be summoned to stay by Malzahar's side forever until death. They will only provide some damage, designed to be substantial with each additional Voidling. They will have good defense stats in turn.

Temporary Voidlings summoned with his Q are significantly stronger.

[Passive] Void's Embrace: Every few seconds, Malzahar's next basic attack will become empowered, dealing damage over time. If the DoT kills the minion or monster, it will spread to another minion or monster, increasing damage with each "bounce." If an enemy champion receives Void's Embrace, they will take percent-health damage over time.


[Q] Chii'Rot Portal Makes a ground-targeted point create a portal, damaging enemies and spawning one Voidling for a few seconds with enhanced offensive power. If affected target is a champion, they will be silenced, while monsters will be unable to attack.

  • Enhanced AP scaling compared to permanent Voidlings

[W] Null Rift

  • **Active: **Creates a field of Void that damages enemies and saps their movement speed to increase summoned Voidlings' movement speed.
  • Passive: Every four spellcasts will summon four voidlings that will stay by Malzahar's side permanently. Permanent Voidlings already summoned will be healed for a portion of their health and receive a short damage reduction buff. A max of four Permanent Voidlings can only be summoned by this passive.

[E] Void Corruption +Long cooldown in mind Corrupts an enemy minion, large minion, or monster to fight for Malzahar, gaining stats like the other Permanent Voidlings, up to a maximum of 2-15 Corrupted Voidlings(based on champion level). If cast on a champion, the ability will have reduced cooldown and damage the champion over time, attracting summoned Voidlings to attack them as well.

  • Downsides: Lost gold
  • Upsides: Large Monsters and Minions will be more powerful than the others

[R] Nether Grasp Causes all summoned Voidlings to channel a beam to suppress an enemy champion, dealing damage and rendering unable to cast spells, attack, or move. With each Voidling summoned increases damage and channel duration. If Malzahar moves away enough, the spell will be stopped, and Permanent Voidlings will return to Malzahar while Temporary Voidlings will stay and fight.

  • Individual Voidlings can be interrupted to decrease remaining channel time or ultimately stop the channel altogether
  • Channel duration increased by summoned Voidling count can only be increased to a cap of 3 seconds.
  • If it is too OP, it can be a super slow instead.
