Brecken, Invoker of Chaos
Role: Mage/Tank
Passive: Chaotic Harvest-- Whenever Brecken kills an enemy minion, he gains 1/2/3/4/5 Ability Power (depending on champion level) for 1.5 seconds, stacking up to 6 times and refreshing while he remains in combat. If he kills an enemy champion while he has 6 stacks, his Ability Power is permanently increased by an amount equal to the current value of 1 stack. If he gets an assist on a champion kill while he has 6 stacks, his Ability Power is always permanently increased by 1.
Ability Q: Meteor/Explosive Shock
NATURAL: Brecken summons a small meteor to impact at target location, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies and creating a field of fire in the vicinity for 5 seconds, dealing further magic damage per second to enemies within the field. The meteor is left at the location for 5 seconds and can be manipulated by Brecken’s other NATURAL abilities. ARTIFICIAL: Brecken drops a small hunk of metal at target location, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies as well as pushing them to the edge of its range. A small portion of the metal is left at the location for 5 seconds and can be manipulated by Brecken’s other ARTIFICIAL abilities.
Ability W: Windswept/Hydraulic Pressure
NATURAL: Brecken summons a small windstorm at a target location, moving in a specified direction. This windstorm stuns and drags all enemies caught in it during movement, dropping them when the storm dissipates. If Windswept touches the rock left behind by Meteor, it picks it up, preventing further enemies from getting caught by the windstorm, but dealing magic damage to all enemies that come into contact with the meteor, including those already caught by Windswept. ARTIFICIAL: Brecken releases a blast of magic in a target direction, knocking back enemies hit by the blast. If the metal left behind by Explosive Shock is hit by the blast, it gets shoved as well, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit by it.
Ability E: Monsoon/Acid Rain
NATURAL: Brecken summons a heavy rainstorm at a target location for several seconds, increasing in duration per rank. The rainstorm deals light magic damage per second to all enemies, as well as drenching enemy champions, which slows their Attack and Movement Speed for a few seconds. If Windswept passes through the rainstorm, the storm will slowly move in the direction of the wind for the remainder of the duration. ARTIFICIAL: Brecken creates a cloud of acidic rain, dealing light magic damage per second to all enemies as well as reducing the Armor and Magic Resist of enemy champions for a few seconds. If Explosive Shock hits the cloud, the cloud breaks into eight smaller ones that slowly drift away from the center of the original for the remainder of the duration.
Ability R (ULTIMATE): Natural Disaster/Artificial Catastrophe
NATURAL: Brecken shifts to his ARTIFICIAL form, changing the effects of his abilities and gaining bonus Armor and Magic Resist while in that form. ARTIFICIAL: Brecken shifts to his NATURAL form, changing the effects of his abilities and gaining bonus Movement Speed and Cooldown Reduction while in that form.
PLAYING AS BRECKEN: -Brecken has below average stats when comparing him to both other mages and other tanks, but has better per-level scaling and ability scaling than most others in both cases. Build him to your needs and find the style that best suits you. -Note that Windswept/Hydraulic Pressure does no damage itself: it only applies damage when it hits the object left behind by Meteor/Explosive Shock. Take the needed placement into mind before you engage on the enemy. -Keep in mind that Brecken's NATURAL abilities do not interact with his ARTIFICIAL abilities, and vice versa, causing you to lose effectiveness if you switch forms in the middle of a fight.
PLAYING AGAINST BRECKEN: -Brecken is effective at tossing your team around both at the beginning and in the middle of a team fight. Always keep track of his location, and avoid areas he is likely to target. -Brecken is a bully mid-to-late game, but can himself be bullied around somewhat easily early in the match. Keep him from doing what he needs to and you should have even less trouble with him later.
This is my first champion concept in a while, and I thought I may as well share it with the community considering some of the good feedback I've had in the past. As always, I am happy to hear constructive criticisms and will take as much feedback into account as possible when making future concepts. Feel free to rate him and tell me what you think in the comments!
