Honestly I miss the option of honoring enemies.There's so much toxicity in League right now and quite a few times you see someone that you just had an enjoyable time with going against, winning or losing. I feel like riot should add that back, if they weren't already planning to

Okay. I understand that, sometimes, there are those players who are nice, and tiltproof, they say gg, and commend you. But they're on the enemy team. This is why you shouldn't be able to honor the enemy team:

  1. A lot of toxic players play on lol. It's not preventable, other than the ways that Riot has already tried. The honor system revolves around commending people. But it shouldn't matter if you thought another player was good or not. If they're not on your team, it's not your responsibility to honor them. That's up to their teammates, if the person synergized well with them, or flamed them and commended Your team instead. They put on a front, while you can't see what's in their team chat.
  2. Honoring enemy players unbalances the whole honor system. More players, ones who don't deserve it, will start getting Honor 3 and 4, getting more key fragments, despite flaming their team and not getting reported for it. They're rewarded for lying and tricking the enemy team, instead of punished. Now. If a truly good player gets stuck on a toxic team? They need to report. That's the only fair way. And then, next game, they'll get paired with hopefully nicer people who then honor them. The honor system is better without being able to honor opponents. Since 1 v 1 is not a real game mode and is only custom, honoring your opponent would be rigging the system in that case. There's my case.

Honestly, I don't even want to honor my team sometimes. My enemies are more respectable often times.
