Idea for swain's vgu
Swain rework idea, since everyone is throwing their two scents I thought I would too.
Tactician's Boone Passive: swain's tactical knowledge has allowed him to preemptively know his enemies next move taking reduce damage( probably put on a timer or just periodically takes reduce damage). While in Lenore's Respite this passive changes, instead of mitigation of damage for the duration of the mode you reflect damage back.(spellvamp from mode does benefit from damage being reflected back)
Obeisance Passive: swain's commanding presence inspires nearby allies giving them a small buff(debating on what it should be) Active: Swain and Beatrice's make their presence known in a cohesive jolt of magic. ( Perhaps slamming his cane down and Beatrice's Cawwing) intimidating near by enemies with a small initial damage to surrounding enemy targets slowing down any enemies facing him as an aura for a short duration. Nevermove passive: Beatrice whispers prophetic secrets in Swain's ear allowing Swain short spurts of vision near his surrounding area periodically Active: perhaps a graphic change sending Beatrice's in a flourish of magic to targeted area (effect remaining unchanged to current nevermove) Anguish passive: slowed targets take additional percent dmg from swain. Active:(single target skill shots) Swain and Beatrice's releases a flurry of magic in a direction in sets of three if Swain has landed two other abilities(includes the initial two shots from this active) before hand then anguish will deal additional dmg on the third strike. Able to move while casting. Lenore's Respite Passive: Beatrice is insatiable and feeds on deaths near her giving Swain a small amount of Mana back. Active: swain is taken over by darkness in a flock of birds for a small duration, while in this form all his passives are disabled, gaining a stat boost and spellvamp/lifesteal with an initial decaying speed boost.
So I know this isn't far off from what he is now but this is just one of the ideas I had to create a healthier Swain or so what people complain about, moves that allow him to deal damage but have to risk being out of place, CC that allows correct placement and leeway to get out, as well as a mid range mage the ability to survive, and his ult which was everyone's complaint about a consistent dmg will now only amplify his abilities and dmg those who target him as we'll as allowing him the ability to survive by his own merits, meaning like most seem to rave about his just R and walking now he will have to place his abilities correctly and land them in order to gain more survivability.
Not a bad design one that allows tactical play and has potential, I feel like it can be a direction toward the vgu but just my opinion. Threw in some Edgar Allan Poe there since it seemed like he was an insparation to his concept initially.
