Risk and Rewards... where is it.

Just a quick thread, kinda miffed over the new champions that are coming out now, such as Zoe and kai'sa that was just released.

It's becoming stale to me now with the poking meta like Xerath , Lux and such, while riot is still pushing out new champions that generally has a very high damage with not much mechanics to go through. (Though generally still the Zoe ) (and maybe Kai'sa with her new W which went built AP has a stupid range and damage)

It's getting to me as assassins seem like the garbage of this game nowadays, with high skill caps but not quite rewarding compared to the mage's damage. They boast the damage they can put out in a short period but can easily be countered, caught out or just CC'd, whereas champions like Zoe or Lux can just instantly kill people when they land a snare or sleep.

Assassins feel kinda dead now, like Zed or Khazix that just don't excel at what they do anymore, and with the new darius buff coming I just feel that champions in general are not being rewarded with the risk that they need to take, with tanks like Garen Darius Olaf having faceroll kits like the old katarina, while having a high enough base stat to outdamage a assassin.

I even see people mid lane building tank now, with a first item zhonyas Galio and a mid lane Olaf who built item 3072 first item and still managed to out damage adcs and assassins alike. Getting pretty stale of the meta, hopefully higher risk and skill caps get rewarded more.

such as Zoe and kai'sa

Wasn't Kai'sa designed to be high risk high reward?

To be honest, there currently is risk and reward for playing Xerath , Lux, and Zoe .

###Xerath In order to stop Xerath from snowballing hard early game, his Mana costs were increased significantly. If he wants to deal consistent damage and keep up pressure, he needs to utilize the on-hit mana restore on his passive to spam his spells. His passive causes him to go out of his safe zone to auto minions or champions. To optimize his mana restore, he has to hit enemy champions within 525 range. So in a way, he still has to go into danger to utilize his kit's full capability.

###Lux Lux has the same type of risk and reward gameplay. When she lands a spell, she needs to get into auto attack range to detonate her passive. A Lux that doesn't proc her passive deals significantly less damage in trades and fights.

###Zoe Zoe became more tolerable after the nerfs. She now needs to rely more on her More Sparkles! enhanced auto-attacks to deal significant damage in trades instead of just relying on her Q to one-shot. In order to dish out the same amount of damage as before, she needs to take the time to weave auto attacks in-between spell casts; something her kit should have primarily focused on in the first place.

###Kai'Sa Don't use BunnyFuFuu's stream as a accurate representation of how a champion will be played in most games. Most decent AP scaling champions can do the same thing to squishy enemies being that fed and having 1000+ AP with 40 min+ of Gathering Storm.
