Unpopular opinion(?): in the last months splasharts and vfx are great, but models are...

...MEH.

Honestly, I am feeling like I am the only one who think this. (I am speaking for my mains) Let's take Odissey Sona. The splash made me 'wow', the vfx and sound are damn good, but the model in game is terrible. Her head is small, her 'legs' are just a long comma and she has that wtf-semicircle around her neck. Really, what is that mess? Same for Odissey Jinx.

Program Nami. ... A fish. A -a fish program. Like, seriously? Who the hell thought that this was a good idea to develop, there in Riot? A fish program. Omg. Were you thinking about Horizon Zero Dawn? Well, even in this case the story doesn't change. The vfx are good buuuut... I don't understand why the Q has to be shpere-shaped instead of a prism or an hexagone to follow the theme of the skin.

Program LB, Cosmic Lulu, Count Kledula.... breaths deeply . New Fidd seems popped out from a Lego box, idk.

Seriously guys, I don't know. To be clear, I don't like to speak bad about other's work: I love seeing skins coming out more often but I feel that something is being left behind.

But don't kill me, is just a my opinion. If you don't agree we can discuss it peacefully

The deal with that is that Riot is quite strict on making In-Game models quite minimal or compact to avoid things like unnecessary clutter. Or at least that's where I think the issue lies in.

But even then when they try to keep things minimal, there's still so many effects from each champion in teamfights making it hard to understand what is going on.

I too have qualms with the Program Nami being a straight up fish. Like, they could have gotten creative with the tail to do something like the hair fins in this skin. Having her still be a straight up fish is bizarre in a tech based setting - it's halfway there, the tail just needs to go.

The LeBlanc Program - it's just bad. I don't know why her head is a hologram, while the rest of her is a robot.

God I agree so much. I seriously love the new Cosmic trio, but the color ratio for splash art to in game always results in the in game model being so, sooo bright and eye searing for some reason. Details get sacrificed way too often for the sake of "reducing clutter," but then with skins like God-King Darius and Garen, there's so many damn particle effects going on that it creates the effect they were avoiding anyways. Irelia's base Divine Sword skin looks so under-textured imo too. I'd say for the a good part of the year Riot was doing alright and then started tanking, but Sweetheart Xayah & Rakan were super lackluster and almost plain bad, and the changes they made to fix the complaints were nearly nonexistent.

I'm not sure about the VFX thing, but the splash art thing I can get behind. Lancer Wukong's splash art looks great. his in game model looks like he skipped leg day so much that a light breeze will topple him over, his home guard looks like a gif animation and his tail looks like black rope with a large weird arrow tip vs the cool designs on the splash.

While I agree for the most part, my issue isn't the models themselves, but that the colors never match those in the splash art.

Take Dragon Sorceress Zyra for example. In the splash art she has pale, pale skin, with purple scales on her the sides of her face, with dark black scales on her legs and arms, while having platinum blonde hair. In game however, it's all just different shades of purple with strawberry blonde hair.

With Cosmic Enchantress Lulu, in the splash art she has darker shades of blue, with very subdued shades of gold for the metal, but in game it's the brightest shade of blue I've ever seen with glowing yellow-gold, nothing like in the splash art.

I think the Program Nami skin actually looks pretty nice, so far, but I'm waiting for the Skin Spotlight video first. Program LeBlanc just looks like shit though, in my opinion.

BUT The Janna one , and all the K/DA skins models in game looks so perfect

and Ekko one too , he looks very detailed , I dislike his splash art tho

They should build a skin preview into the client, it'll take a lot of work but will help players know what they're buying. Additionally, I think the theme of Program LeBlanc reminds me of Camille or Lissandra which I kinda like.
