Aldera - The Thunder Sentry
Aldera – The Thunder Sentry (Reworked) Scroll Down to Skip Lore. [Rework IV]
Overview
Aldera mechanics work similar to:
Q:
- Works like a ranged Illaoi tentacle which lashes out by flying through enemies like
's E except to keep it active you must create damage near it once its uncharged. Uncharged Peaches are similar to
Turret's and once active can continue to reposition peaches as you continue combat.
W:
/
- Like Zed's switching position skill and ult combined into a minor skill which instead switches position in flight like Ekko's Ult but pulls both bodies instead together into a location, popping enemies up.
E:
- This skill resembles the old Galio's E which used to speed up allies inside it. This skill pushes her Figments. Much like
but the skill shot is crescent shaped like
's Q.
R:
- Her Ultimate is similar to Xayah's except it has 2 cast. One creates a steady push effect skillshot like
's E but it's ongoing effect is to push enemies steadily. The next cast is like
's passive but yet again slower as it pulls enemies towards cone's point like
.
Lore: Aldera Origin Story. _It was a lone and beautiful day in the sky city above the Fyrone Flats, Fleurdasia. A gusty wind, and breath of fresh air peaked out of Aldera's homestead. An old rickity building, whose concrete sits in a cloud, head by ancient rune magic. "Aldera...," an old and vivid voice called. From the corners off the room comes yawning, a young springing women, wearing a jaded black dress and an ominous grey cloud around her neck walks down her hallway to greet her unwelcomed guest. In seconds the cloud around her neck begins to grow and pursue the guest, coiling around his neck and ankles. "What business do you have in my dorm?" Aldera questioned the guest. "Fleurdasia is in grave danger Aldera. They have come for Ionian's Spark". Aldera's eyes widened as she looked outside and saw warriors raining in packs and climbing up the coastal clouds. Aldera runs out her home to the streets to see her people in bloodshed and warriors of Fleurdasia fighting the Ionian warriors. They have come all this way for their used up relics Just when Aldera was about to turn the corner, a silver sharp blade hits the wall above her and a large piece of the building comes crashing down. Aldera rolls on the ground maintaining her speed and continues. Aldera finally reaches a large lighthouse but notices the doors inside are broken. She quickly runs inside to see 2 warriors fighting. A woman with dark red hair and another in green with kunais. Then the wall on the side of the building comes crashing with a elongated staff pushing a armored warrior with an axe. In midst of the fighting, Aldera sees Ionian's Spark in a case and runs for it. She punches the case, and grabs the relic. She turns to run but a figure comes out of the darkness, holding onto Aldera's arm. "Drop the relic," the blue assassin says. Suddenly the cloud around Aldera's neck expands and a loud screech fills the halls. All in the hall cover their ears, and Aldera takes her chance to get away. She runs out of the hall on the cloud beach, the edge of Fleurdasia. Aldera looks at the waterfall that goes down to Kumungu, then looks back to see a large body running fast towards her. She turns to jump but cant do it. "Fear Not," a familiar voice says, and to her surprise its the man who had entered her house and warned her in the first place. "Jump and I will make sure nothing hurts you." Sion nears closer and closer and finally Aldera jumps. Aldera's is wailing in the ear and screaming her lungs out and just for one second, Aldera looks into the sky, and looks at the whole world. She then looks up and see pieces of Fleurdasia falling and tears begin to fall from her eyes She then looks at Ionian's Spark and begins trying to use it's magic. To her luck, nothing seems to work. Peaches, I guess this is it. Aldera closes her eyes and holds Ionian's Spark close to her. Falling now for 2 minutes she looks at Ionian's Spark and thinks: I lost my home, my friends. Everything for this relic. You know what. You want your relic so bad. Guess what! No one can have it. Aldera then grabs both ends of the relic and breaks it in two. A burst of magic then released followed by an explosion. Out of the explosion Aldera's body falls lifeless.
Sometime later, Aldera wakes up in a forest, covered in vines. She sees little seedlings running towards a large tree. It turns around. Maaaaaoooooo It blurts. I Must be dead, and this is Urtistan... She looks around and sees a peaceful forest and the tranquil sounds of water drizzling from above. So it wasnt a dream, my home... She looks to her left and sees a large man with dark hair fighting an equally large man with brown hair. It wasn't over Aldera then pulls the vines off of her and tries to get up but notices her leg is hurting. She looks down and her leg is cut. She the supports herself with a nearby stick and beings stilting towards the living tree. The tree then makes sprouts a bush and hides Aldera inside. It chuckles. Then it points and Aldera continues following the Living Tree. Finally they arrive at another village in Kumungu. The living tree picks Aldera up and drops her on the doorstep of a hut. A large man then opens his doors and picks her body up. I comes a cougar, which shifts into a woman. "This is bad" the woman says. "First the Noxians and Ionians, but now the Demacians have come into our lands... For what I wonder". Nidalee then looks at Aldera, as if she had found her answer. "This is all i know of healing incantations". And as Nidalee finished her sentence she began attempting to heal Aldera.
_DEMACIA!!!!! _ - A loud woman voice yelled and the rooftop of Nidalee's home dissintagrated. "Wait Here", Nidalee said and transformed into a cougar, pouncing out the door. RAWR, THEY WILL FEAR THE WILD
A Large man in regal golden armour comes in Im a Jarvan the fourth, give me the Ionian Spark. Aldera looks at Jarvan IV and turns away in fear. Jarvan then approaches Aldera when she pushes her fingers towards Jarvan IV. Suddenly a trickles of lightning sprout from Alderas fingers and sends Jarvan IV flying. She then looks at her hands. Snaps her fingers- and lightning trickles.
Aldera then gets up and walks out of the home to see Nidalee trampled on the floor. To her left she sees Katarina, Talon, and Darius. In the center, Wu Kong, Irelia, and to the right, Lux, Garen and Jarvan IV's body on the floor. With anger, Aldera then uncoils her fingers and a grey cloud forms around her neck. Peaches, lets do this!]
For Fleurdasia! She cries and all warriors enter their battle stance. _If only i knew my own magic. Here goes nothing.
Aldera then points her fingers out like pistols. "This is your last chance, I'm warning you" Aldera bluffs.
"She's mine" - suddenly long streaks of red hair meet Aldera's face and beginning to twirl and rips through Aldera, yet to Katarina's surprise, she feels vapour and is then electrocuted. All are surprised and suddenly forming behind the group are dark clouds. Aldera then jumps out of a cloud pointing her fingers and shooting electric bolts at the enemies Phew Phew. One by one enemies are being knocked out, and Aldera then swings her hands, masking the enemies into the clouds. Aldera then begins rubbing her hands and points them at the group. "PEACHES", Aldera yells. Suddenly a large lightning bolt hits the enemies and electrocutes them.
When Nidalee wakes up she sees all enemies steaming with hot air unconscious and a message formed from electricity. It reads.
Thank you for your hospitality. Till next time, Aldera, Destra The message then fades into thin air, and Nidalee transforms into a cougar and pounces away.
Aldera's Kit.
Passive – Aldera’s Thunder Cloud Owl Peaches rest around Aldera's neck like a cloudlike cloak. When Aldera hits an enemy with an ability, she gains a stack of Owling Cry. At 5 stacks of Owling Cry, whenever an enemy attacks Aldera with an immobilizing attack Her owl lets out a roar that silences nearby enemies for 1s. At level 9 this skill gains 2 stacks. At level 18 this skill gains 3 stacks.
Q - Peach's Quarrel [Rework IV][Toolkit Revised]
Passive - If Aldera activates this skill while "Peaches" is still active, Peaches will remain off Aldera, while Aldera can activate this skill again and summon another Peaches.
Active - Aldera targets an enemy and after a short delay Peaches flies through the enemy, dealing magic damage to all enemies that are caught during its initial flight. After Peaches hits an enemy champion it descends to the ground becoming Uncharged. While Uncharged, it has 3 hit points and remains in that location for 4.0s.
To recharge a Peaches, Aldera can damage nearby enemies to Peaches to recharge it. Peaches Charge = # of Owling Cry stacks x 10% of Damage dealt. While Active, Every 3rd basic attack basic on the enemy causes active Peaches' to pass through that enemy dealing the base magic damage of this skill again for each Peaches that flies through the enemy. Every time Peaches passes through an enemy a stack of Owling Cry is gained and the CD of this ability is decreased by 1 second.
W - Figment [Rework III][Toolkit Revised]
Aldera consumes her stacks of Owling Cry to create a Figment (A cloud-like tornado clone) of Aldera that detonates after 5 seconds dealing scaling magic damage depending on how many stacks of Owling Cry was used at activation. Figments change appearance over time. When they are about to explode they look overcharged. (Figments are like cloudy silhouettes clones of Aldera)
Passive: While this skill is on cooldown, Aldera can target a nearby Figment and swap places with it. When the swap occurs both the Figment and Aldera move towards each other's previous locations.
If an enemy attacks a Figment the figment is disarmed, but if left for 5 seconds the explode dealing damage equal/scaling by the number of stacks of Owling Cry used to create it.
If both the swapping Figment and Aldera hit the enemy at the same time when switching positions then the enemy is knocked up, and Aldera gains 2 stacks of Owling Cry.
E- Windy Skies – [Rework III] Aldera sends a gust of wind in a round motion towards a target location that deals magic damage while it travels. All Figments hit by this skill are move towards the end of skillshot. Enemies hit by this skill receive reduced magic resistance for 3 seconds. If Figments hit an enemy while moving, Aldera gains a stack of Owling Cry.
R- Lightning and Thunder [Rework III]
R- Peaches lets out a roar and Aldera casts a cone of thunder where enemies take increasing magic damage over time when closer to Aldera and are slowly pushed towards the end of the cone which last 4.5 seconds. Aldera can recast this ability to cast another cone that releases lightning in a cone dealing increasing magic damage slowly pulling enemies towards Aldera which last 3 seconds.
How to Play Aldera [Rework II] Some minor changes to her kit but Major Change to Ultimate
Aldera's kit allows her to be very menacing as well as controlling in solo situations as well as extremely deadly if left unnoticed in team fights/
Her Q ability and W is her bread and butter.
- Use Q to begin the assault. Target the enemy you are trying to kill, and auto attack to gain stacks of Owling Cry.
- Use W one you get a good amount of Owling Cry Stacks, but continue to auto attack to gain stacks of Owling Cry
- Use E to reposition Figments and W to swap places with a near exploding Figment. Let it damage the enemy and continue the assault on enemy champion.
- Use your ultimate to lock enemies in an area and E to move Figments into enemies to enable more damage from magic damage over time.
- Use Windy Skies to position Figments to begin comboing
In Team Fights
- Create as many Figments as you can and make them go into an enemy dense teamfights
- Capture enemies within Thunder and Lightning tearing them apart.
- Or, Peel for the team by pushing away a tanky character from your ADC and pull the enemy's ADC towards you.
