Character concept: Ysbryd, The Spirit's Refuge

Ysbryd The Spirit's refuge

Long ago a sculptor from Ionia had brought from Demacia a pillar of petricite with which he carved a statue of himself in pursuit of achieving balance and control of his magic. Ysbryd is the name that has come to be associated with the golem that had once stood a statue in a peaceful ionian village where magics would fill the air and bring the village to life. This was so up until the Invasion of Noxus ,the massacre of the village was upon them. The mage Ysbryd's final act in the battle for the defense of their village was to push his abilities to their limits ,tearing apart the entire village and all within it and in doing so destroying himself too. Ysbryd's magic was so powerful it tore his spirit apart and the wisps of his spirit soaring through the air were drawn toward the pericite statue. With Ysbryd's spirit torn he had lost the memory of the man he once was and the ways of his people, he had forgotten what it is to be alive. Left only with the memory of his final sacrifice in the face of the massacre of his village, Ysbryd relentlessly hunts down any who fly the banner of Noxus, showing no mercy.

Abilities:

Passive: souldash: When Ysbryd uses basic attacks he blinks towards the target in range and attacks it(melee). Ysbryd's basic attack range is increased by 0.08% of his maximum mana Standard range 400 Manaburn: When Ysbryd uses an ability on an enemy champion he reduces their remaining mana by 4% +(O.O1% AP)

Q - Gravity / Arc golem: Ysbryd summons a downward force in a target area stunning enemies for 0.5sec and x + (x% AP) dealing magic damage spirit: Ysbryd calls forth a bolt of lightning at target area dealing x(x% maximum mana) magic damage
this ability costs 10% of remaining mana W - Gather / Cloak of storms golem: Ysbryd gains x% damage resistance for 3sec and summons a force around him pulling enemies toward him and slowing their movement Spirit: Ysbryd gains a magic shield that deals damage to and slows enemies around him until it is depleted this ability costs 10% of his maximum mana E - Mire / surge golem: Ysbryd channels for 3.5s slowing enemies withing a radius around him and if channeling is completed knocking up all enemies in the radius and dealing magic damage ,this ability can be ended early spirit: Ysbryd supresses a target for 1s + (1s per mana flare stack) draining their mana per second and dealing magic damage. R - Unbound Spirit form: Ysbryds Spirit is seperated from his body making his body untargetable and his spirit form uses his mana as health, taking damage reduces his mana for the amount when his mana reaches 0 he is returned to his body and is stunned for 1s Arc puts 1 stack of mana flare on target ,cloak of storms 1 stack of mana flare per second Spirit form constantly drains his mana (% higher by each rank) during spirit form Ysbryd cannot leave the area around his body (range increased by each rank) Ysbryd's Ability power and movement speed is increased while in spirit form When activating spirit form Ysbryd gets (% increased by each rank)of his missing mana returned This ability can be ended early ,but not immediately ,after short cooldown

from me: I honestly wish Riot would use this Idea ,me and my gaming friends believe this would be an Awesome character. I dont ever care about or want money or credit ,just being able to see my idea come to bloom would be enough. (Although a part of me wishes I could name the character Oxodia xD) Give me your opinion on the character and pls upvote [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] The Image Link is just something I quickly made to give an example of how I imagine this character.

He appears to be severely niche mechanic wise. As a mana burn champion, like anti-mage in dota, he would only be useful against mages. A select few mages to be exact as he is melee(?). As for lore, he sounds like someone turned themselves into a galio type existence.

If I may, I would like to offer a secondary kit as I really like the concept:

Passive: Severed soul

Innate: Ysbryd's basic attacks attach part of his soul into the enemy granting him true sight of the enemy for a short duration.

Q: Arc Ride (low mana cost) (low CD)

Passive: Ysbryd's basic attack range is increased (total range: 800) against enemy champions effected by Mana Flare. Basic attacking an enemy affected by Mana Flare expunges the Mana Flare mark and blinks Ysbryd to the target before the basic attack applies.

Active: Ysbryd launches a thin bolt of condensed lightning like mana in a target direction (range: 1000) dealing a small amount of magic damage in the line that ignores some of the targets MR. Enemy champions hit by this ability are marked by Mana Flare.

W: Earth Cloak (medium mana cost) (medium CD)

Active: Ysbryd violently rips up the earth around him and draws it to himself, dealing physical damage and slowing nearby (range: 500) enemies caught in the upheaval.

If Ysbryd damages at least one enemy champion with this ability he is granted % damage mitigation for a short duration. At the end of the duration the earth violently lashes outwards stunning nearby (range: 500) enemies for a duration and dealing the same damage again.

E: Arc Surge (medium mana cost) (long CD)

Passive: Arc Line: Every third basic attack will deal bonus magic damage (based on ap and maximum mana) to the target and in a line behind the target (range behind target: 200-500 increased based on ability level). Every time Arc Line occurs, the cooldown of Arc Surge is decreased by a %.

Active: Ysbryd charges himself resetting his basic attack animation and gaining greatly increased attack speed for a medium duration. If Ysbryd kills an enemy champion during Arc Surge, he gains a moderate shield.

R: Final Act (low initial mana cost) (long CD)

Active: Ysbryd roots himself in place and becomes untargetable launching his spirit to a ground target location (cast range: 1200). Upon his spirit reaching the targeted area, he begins channeling for 3s. Every .25s costs an amount of mana. After the 3s or upon ending the channel early, Ysbryd deals magic damage based on channel length in a radius (range: 500) around the ground target location.
