Ranged Strength
Random Idea, what if we had a tanky marksmen, who's shots got weaker the farther they were from their target. Not to say that their ranged shot could not be powerful, but what if a guy could throw a punch, send the energy of that punch though the air, and land on his target, losing some of it's power, but making contact.
If it doesn't lose AD, perhaps it could lose a passive damage, like he deals extra damage for a percentage of his health or his MR when his target is at close range. but if he is far away, he could still get him, but he does not deal extra damage.
I really don't know, but I always found it weird that
's blasts, since they are pure energy, don't just lose power as they travel...or for that matter, how most champs attacks don't lose power the farther they travel. They only seem to get stronger.

So, logic is irrelevant in this game so it would make sense why shots fired over long distances don't suffer damage loss. I think that doing a shot that gets weaker over distance will be abused by a number of people especially if it was a tank. Imagine ohk killing people as a tank, really unfair that you can deal huge amounts of damage and be able to take huge amounts of damage. I rather have a shot like jinx's ult because it requires more skill and luck to land.
buckshot deals less damage to distant targets.
I think a passive ability that does something similar would be perfectly justifiable. especially if it was bonus damage to the aa, and not base aa damage itself.
Though a lot of people would likely get annoyed by it.
