So if riot doesn't hate gays why isn't there a gay champion
They make black champions, why not gays? They already released ekko, the 2nd black, still no gays? Guess riots homophobic

If there is a champ whose sole purpose of existing is to promote gay relationships, I say that's the REAL discrimination.
Think about it.
It's like, let's say, you desire to have an Asian character in your drama script, so you create an Asian guy and project/chuck everything you think of as being "Asian" onto him. Doesn't this sound racist to you?
Exactly.
What they should do in this case is creating a champ who happens to be gay, and NOT a champ who IS gay.
I'm guessing an openly gay character might be controversial amongst certain groups. Riot might not be willing to take a risk there, I could even see the game being censored for "promoting homosexuality towards children" in some countries. Even countries who have fairly good LGBT protection, like the USA, would likely have a lot of objections to an openly homosexual character. I'm sure you can imagine what might happen in some countries where homosexuality isn't as accepted as in the US.
Do I think they shouldn't make a homosexual character? Eh. Having one might actually do some good, especially if it's just a small part of the character and not done over the top. In fact, any of the current champions could be bi (unless I'm mistaken), I could easily see many of them being homosexual as well. Still, they'd risk so much by having an openly homosexual character.
Can't tell if troll, or serious.................................
Plus, we already have 2 gay champs and 2 lesbians. Taric, Ezreal, Jinx, and Vi obviously.

What if we already have a gay character, but it just does not spend all the time shouting it?
How do we know there already isn't?
Lore isn't in a solid place. Very few champions even have anything about their romance life in it.
Prove to me these champions are not gay:
KIlls men. What about women?
Demcia's most eligible bachelor? How many female champions are after him but are "friend zoned"?
(before death)
(before ascension)

Its a fighting game, why the fuck does it matter?
How about no. We dont need one for the sake of having one
Time to get our hands dirty

Quoted from Riot Meddler on having an "old lady" for a champion. Covers this argument:
I don't think 'League doesn't have one' is a sufficient argument by itself though, for any concept. League doesn't have a harpy for example, a classic monster from myth and other fantasy settings. That doesn't mean we should necessarily make one though. Whether or not a harpy allows us to tell new stories, offer new gameplay, create a different personality, show a distinct visual silhouette etc better than other concepts is what we're interested in. We'll always have more concepts than we'll be able to make, so comparing what an idea lets us do is really important.
. . . I don't feel it's anymore a justification for a character by itself than 'tall' is however - might be an important part of a character's identity but isn't an argument by itself.
. . . 'Old lady' though's not a fleshed out character, but a small part of an individual, in the same way that Swain isn't just 'old man'. Start talking about old female characters that are actual characters and we get somewhere really interesting. Examples of that I think are well done are M as portrayed by Judi Dench in various Bond films say, or the Dowager Countess in Downton Abbey as played by Maggie Smith. Flemeth from Dragon age as someone mentioned below's a great example to me from another fantasy setting, as are Granny Weatherwax/Nanny Ogg (Discworld).
Can you possibly make a champion more gay than
?
No, you can't.
Not sure if bait.
Uhm... It's their game, so honestly if they want to be homophobic they can.
Do we know the sexual orientation for all the champions? No? Then how do you know one or more are not LGB.
We've had romances between champions teased here and there, and they were all straight.
Their lore is actually their personal story about their life, so it's not off limits. I think these threads go about it all wrong when asking for more visibility. The default is not straight, and there are many champions personal lives we haven't explored. There's a lot Riot could still do without creating another champion. I understand, but don't support, why they haven't earlier, since it used to be pretty controversial, but those times have finally passed. However when you make these threads you make me so depressed reading some of these replies.
If you search the artwork tags you'll find a lot of people want champions like Graves and Braum to be gay...anyways.
I don't think it should just be a gay male champion though, but something tells me after that you wouldn't be supporting any more visibility.
I don't understand what a champions sexual orientation has to do with anything. Literally any single one of the champions could be gay! We just don't know that because we don't know anything about their private lives. Save a choice amount of champions.
