Idea to boost merch sales

Hello, i never post here but just got an idea from seeing the arcade hoodie to help boost merch sales. Ive never purchased riot merch for the sole purpose of if im giving my money to riot, honestly im just going to spend it on rp. But what if, when merch is purchased and linked through your league account, or when on the final page you submit a summoner name, a fraction of the merch price would be given to you as rp. In my opinion this is an incredible idea for the sole fact riot cant lose money. Their giving away virtual currency in hopes to enhance their gross income. i would honestly spend $30 on a hoodie if i also got $15 of rp tagged along with it. Please let me know if this has ever been reccomended before and if i even posted in the right section.
