so ive been reading about a bunch of thief champ concepts, and i thought i wanted a go. so here it is

the thief for the passive- if an enemy dies, you can right click to steal 50 gold from them. hopefully that will make people rage less

uses gold in place of mana and can maxes out by a thousand(basically you use gold for abilities, and when you run out you imediatly use whatever gold you have to

q: hit and run the thief blinks onto an enemy champion and deals 10/15/30/40/45 % ad a while stealing 5/10/15/20/25 gold. while gaining a decaying speed boost from 300%- 50% per sec. ability costs no gold

w: monster hunter- the monsters are dangerous, and stealing them means $$$$$! when you use your w, you bag a random monster in any camp and the you can bring them back to fountain and get 100g from raptors and wolves, 150 from krugs and gromp, 200 from red and blue buff, and 500 for epics(but you need to lower their health too under 100). alternativly, you can unleash them upon your enemies! if you have raptors or wolves, you have a ten% slow,25 for krugs and gromp, 30 for red and blue, and 50 for dragon. also, if you want to unleash it, its a skillshot. if you dont hit an enemy anything, it will aggro on to either you or any teammate that closer(yes you can put baron wherever you please) cost 100g

e- welcome to the brotherhood costs 10g. e is now just a blind in a cone shape. but cooldowns are 10/8/6/5/4

r -- now the thief uses his super op magnet to pull opponent closer, but it needs electricity. he powers it with a piezoelectric battery in his shoe. when he walks, he builds electricity, then when it hits 100, he can use his ult. when the ult is active, thief can move around and gains a movement speed buff. the whole thing lasts 2-3-5 secs and is on a 160/80/40 cooldown. enemies can autoattack and use spells, they just have zero control over movment.

and also check out this other champ concept if ur interested http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/1zik7PHb-lyria-nightmares-keeper?comment=00060000

see ya

final edit- for the gold bar ex- if yoou run out of god but have 1500 gold to spend you automatically top off the bar and are left with 500 gold to spend

Ok review time...

So the premise of a gold-based champion isn't new, and like every incarnation before it there are two massive flaws with the theory. First, is that the game revolves around items that are bought with gold (currency). Without the balancing factor of bought items champions quickly become useless to teams, and in gameplay at large. Second, is the "Give and Take" Paradigm which states that the cost of something must equal or be greater to the return for the system to remain current. Basically, it's saying that the cost of your abilities (currency) would make your champion unplayable within a short time frame.

**Passive: ** Broken in so many ways this champion would be a certified ban pick in every format until this was nerfed into the ground. Disabling gold generation is opening a flood gate for champions to have passives that give them item effects (we already have Veigar and Nasus) or stacking bonuses to the extreme. But aside from that the ability to steal whatever doran items you want starting out means you could pick up a lot of power early game. Also, having the ability to steal either gold or ITEMS from fallen champions is a massive middle finger to game balance.

Q:

This actually isn't that bad save it STEALS gold, while I know the concept is to be a thief. Riot and most players would refused to see a champion that could break the game balance so easily. Imagine just sitting in your lane with your Doran items, and blinking onto your opponent every so often keeping them gold starved. Beyond that a good Assassin skill for getting in, and chase down or escape.

W:

Ok, so this one has a few more problems. While the ability to move around jungle or lane creeps isn't new (Syndra and Talm). They don't give you the power to set them on someone with such directness, or give you an unfettered movement. So, I would make it to towers or just lane to get the gold if you want to keep this skill. Also if you want to send them out, how about the last 1/1/2/2/3 minions or monsters you successfully trade in.

E:

Ok so beyond the gold cost this ability confuses me. A good thief champion should act like a rouge or assassin. While both need ways of getting away taunts aren't one of them. The blind effect is good, and could be paired up and tweaked to make it more in line with an Assassin engage though.

R:

Ok, this ultimate makes him a bit like MF without the hard scaling and crunch. So the design of this character seems a bit broad. Draining all your gold would make no one want to use this except trying to get a penta.

Overall:

As always with the gold based champions. They have a chance of working if they are designed carefully to balance their costs and playstyle, but right now you need to focus on one class. Then, use the basic layout to give you a place to start. There are some good ideas here, but also so very broken concepts. Thank you for sharing, and I hope to see this concept grow.
