NEW WARWICK DESIGN (ART)

Hello all,

My name is Randy Toroni and I am a professional artist that has been playing league of legends for the past 4 years. I love it so much its pretty much the only game I play, roughly 1 or 2 games a day. League works great with my schedule in life. I aspire to someday help Riot build on this rich world of characters and lore, until then I am going to keep trying my best to make suggestions through these forums. Anyway I want to try my best to redesign the characters in League of Legends that need it and also design my own that I believe the League needs.

One such Champion I believe needs a make-over is our long lost friend WarwickWarwick . I believe Warwick not only needs a visual overhaul but also needs his Kit overhauled as well. Warwicks play-style just isn't as rewarding, tactical, or fun to play as other champs. This is a work in progress thread and would love to hear your suggestions as I work to build the new Warwick.

I feel like if Warwick were to be reworked, they need to push the fact that he is a smart human turning into a mindless feral monster. Warwick was once a scientist from Zaun who turned himself into the monster he is now. Making him a doggy Rengar, while not a terrible idea, doesn't feel like the best direction to take him in.

I read up on his Lore before I started working on Warwick. He wanted to gain more power so he could take on bigger bounty's so he went to Singed and got 2 out of 3 ingredience for a powerful potion. The third ingrediant was Soraka's heart but he couldn't get her heart. So with Singed warning that it would be a bad idea to take the potion with only 2 of the ingredience he did it anyway and became the beast Warwick we all know. He is losing his mind to the beast slowly and is on the hunt for Soraka's heart so he won't lose himself to the beast fully. So as smart and cunning as he was before....... he is losing it in his current state.

So I gotta try and find a way to implement this into his design. I want him to be more interesting than just auto attacking with his left and right hands, would be cool to mix it up a bit.

Hey Randy, long time no see. Glad that you could effort more time for something outside of your work. Great job as always.

If you want some critiques, I think that his head is pretty small compared to his body. His mouth could be also a bit longer, because it looks more like Rengar in that way.

It's hard to get away from my work as always but I am trying to find more time to do stuff like this, however I can. I think your right about the body and head ratio, I just drew that body out in like 2-3 minutes so the audience would have an idea of what the head would look like on a generic quick body of warwick. I need to go back and redesign the whole body using that quick gesture drawing as a base. The head is going to be brought up in scale for sure and I will play around with the snout. Count on me doing a livestream on this tonight with my buddy Derek again. Come join! :P

This is so reminiscent of Rengar, I love it! I always thought that Warwick was the one that raised Rengar and taught him the ways of hunting while he was still a human.

Haha I sure hope it doesn't look like Rengar too much, but then again they are both animal human hybrid looking creatures with a vicious attitude. I am going to experiment with how Warwick can be changed into something a bit more designed. Right now hes a very basic Lycan type character. Thinking hard about how I can make his design more blood sucking and life draining looking. :P

Yeah man I am sure they are reworking everything without a doubt. I am just hoping I can make a Warwick rework before they get their's made because we are running out of champions to redesign! Before you know it the only champions to be made are fantasy ones that haven't been thought up yet! Which I enjoy making :P.

Hey guys, Just wanted to say that I am going to be livestreaming tonight working on this Warwick Warwick Design! It should be probably starting around 6:30-7:30pm pacific time. Going to make more head designs and move onto the body shape and design. Going to think about his new abilities, passive, and how that it will make him a champion that is much funner to play. You all can help me design in real time with your suggestions :D.
