I submitted a post a while back about a Vampire champion....now we all know every one thinks that's what Vlad is more then likely because of his name one would automatically think of the impeller from history. but "Vladimir" is nothing even close to that. i would rather a vamp champ that was more up close in personal....look at it this was one Vlad is NOT a vampire but if he was he would be the "twilight" of the Vampire nation and what i personally and I'm sure many more others would enjoy is something much more savage and primal. thumbs up for Kindred tho love what I've seen of her thus far will be buying her for sure. that's really all i can think of to say at the moment it would be nice to see it happen i gave the best description of this champ just to point in that direction in the previous post i mentioned in the above text. ability's passive and so forth but in the end its up to good ol Riot.

Vlad isn't a vampire, he's a blood bender from Last Air Bender. I hate the guy, but no need to associate him with the sparkles.

I agree that an actual vampire champion should be added to the game, it would be pretty interesting to see how Riot would work with the concept of a scary, primal vampiric champ.

This opinion may be unpopular:

mechanically, wouldn't be very close to what a an actual vampire character would be? There's no shape changing or domination but everything else seems to line up.

in terms of LORE, vampires don't have a lot of place in Runterra... Undead are described as a (relatively new) plague that has come upon the world, and is slowly trying to spread from the shadow isles to elsewhere. Also most undead we've seen were either quasi-solid specters / Reapers, or rotting corpses. Vampire lore, on the other hand, goes back thousands and thousands of years. Beings which consume the life from living humans, often through the drinking of blood. If a creature with equivalent lore were introduced... and come to mind, but neither really fits 100%. both have huge lore elements, and both have kits that support the theme (to some degree) as well. even has some vampiric elements to her, but being kitsune she's a bit of another story.

I don't really see a nitch for any 100% vampire character in Runterra. The closest that hasn't already been covered by other champions would probably be a ''new'' undead being (as in, a unique undead that has been around for less than a decade) that can pass itself off as a living human, and actually drinks blood. It would end up leaving out the centuries old lore from earth, but could be the bud of speculation about a newly created vampire race taking root in modern runterra.

I think that may work, but I still don't think that is entirely what you are asking for.

I actually like that idea you presented, it actually does seem to fit, and would definitely be a good addition to the world of Runeterra. Also, you are right about Aatrox, Ahri and Elise, they do seem to take some aspects from the concept as well.

I just want to be sure I didn't misunderstood. You say Vlad, as the character itself, is not an actual Vampire? I know story and skill based he isn't, but isn't his very own existence a reference to Dracula, which is, as far as I know, the epitome of Vampirism? The actual vampire you are asking for, the primal monstery bloodsucking type... didn't that came up with the vampire-hype that spawned such utterly disgusting things like the one you mentioned? I may stray far from the actual thing i tried to talk about, but now I wrote it and... nah All I wanted to say is: Don't compare a Dracula reference with some sparkling disturbance. No need to do that to poor Blood Mage
