How to Play as Gaster:
When using Gaster, 3 important variables must be taken in place: The placement of the Gaster Blasters, The Cooldown on Gaster's skills, and what position that the Gaster Blasters are within. When being used as an Assassain, Gaster's strikes will add Gaster Blasters that circles around the opponent within a 360 degree diameter, akin to Aurelion Sol's Passive. As the Blasters spin around, Gaster can gtfo before he gets thrashed due to his low health and defense. This causes the doctor to fire and forget as long as he's still alive, and keeps his foes in a panic. Using the Gaster Codes, Gaster can slow, silence, and outright destroy his opponents -- usually towards the single target. As a Support, Gaster can use his blasters to keep foes at fellow champions' bay and disrupt enemy plans via SILENCED or IGNIS. While not attacking enemy champions, Gaster rules the Jungle via his skills, allowing his fist causes an fair amount of damage.
How to Play against Gaster:
When you fight Gaster, beware of the Blasters and where he is. While weak, Gaster is very quick for his appearance - and he's good as a MR tank, so attack him with AD. When you do get surrounded by the Basters, stay away from your friends. otherwise you'll be the one responsible for giving Gaster Pentakill after Pentakill. And if he's not going to use the Gaster Codes, brace for either his fist - or his Ult. If you get hit by that lane-wide blast, you'll be unable to see anything within an massive fog of war, and unable to counter.

Melee-Type:
--------
Within the Melee Champions, Gaster trumps Azir as Gaster has good range and can constantly hit Azir as the Emperor tries to order his troops to attack the speedy Gaster. Irelia on the other hand can (and will) bum rush the frail Doctor and ruin his day.
Range-Type:
--------
Using the Gaster Blasters, Gaster can ruin Draven up something fierce via a few IGNIS blasts. Jhin, by contrast has moves that keeps him away from Gaster, and the crits can spell an easy kill for the poor Gaster.
Attack Damage:
-------
While Gnar is an strange case, since it's wiser to attack Gaster with the normal form, Gaster can take advantage with CALYPSO and IGNIS on him. Like with before, Irelia can easily kill Gaster.
Ability Power:
--------
As powerful as the Starforger is, Sol is screwed either way via Gaster's own Blasters and fists, mainly via SILENCED blasts and good AD. And while Swain is nearly as powerful, his moves and how he uses them can ruin Gaster -- he wasn't a tactician...
