I'm trying to find a good champ to main at top, and so far I've liked Rengar Rengar and Darius Darius. And now I'm stuck between those two, and i don't know which one to choose. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks In Advance

Darius is a bigger lane bully but is more situational, if you blind pick him you have a high chance of getting countered by say Kennan or kayle or elise who can completely fubar your day up, as he needs to win lane to do well. Also if they have like kalista or lb or Nami on the enemy team, Darius prolly isn't the right choice as he's easily kited.

Elise is a very good dependable to lamer atm as is liss if you like magies and rumble is also very popular. Although learning renekton would prolly be one of the most beneficial champs to learn for your team

Honestly not sure if I would recommend either of them. Rengar is very snowball dependent and he isn't the stronger laner, so if you can't get an early advantage you won't be the useful. Darius, on the other hand, is a melee lane bully but he has trouble dealing with ranged champions.

If you are set on the two, I would probably recommend Darius. He is a great counterpick to most melee champions if you know how to get an early lead in lane and can 1v1 most champions until late in the game if played and built appropriately. However, I would be very careful about picking him before you know your lane opponent, since you can be easily countered by a lot of ranged champions.

Note: As Darius, if you lane against a tank champion (Nasus, Mundo, Maokai, etc) and you know they will stack armor against you, try building Black Cleaver as an early item. The armor reduction can help your team later in the game and it makes it pretty much impossible for them to try and 1v1 you.

Rengar can be a strong pick, but you need to know how to get an advantage against your opponent. If possible, I'd recommend watching Ryan Choi's Rengar videos, as he's probably one of the better Rengar players out there. Just remember that if you can't kill your opponent in lane, push and roam to gank mid lane with your ultimate.

Well, both are extremely snowbally (as I'm sure you know since you say you have tried both), so to start, be wary whichever one you choose to get.

I would lean more towards Rengar, because if he gets ahead, he can 1v1 almost anyone in the game and scales hard into late game as an assassin. If he falls behind, he can still be useful as a moderately high damage bruiser, but he is less effective in that situation, since he cannot get kills on his own like that most of the time.

Darius is similar in his relatively feast or famine nature, however, Darius is a lane bully who falls off if he doesn't get ahead on kills, while Regnar is pretty weak early but also needs those kills. He has comparable CC, more consistent AOE damage, and his signature pent kill execute ult. Darius is strongest only when he has his ult up and is ahead of his opponent, whereas Rengar has decent damage and fighting strength without his ult, since his ult is more of a utility spell than a damage source.
