Summary

Earnsworth is a melee support champion with a kit focused on debilitating foes and keeping enemies busy while passively increasing gold income for his carry.

Skills Passive: Extortion- Earnsworths attacks apply a mark to enemy units. When a mark is hit by him or an allied champion, It gives the attacker gold.
Extorted champions have their money taken directly from their gold reserve.
The mark cannot be applied to the same target for a set amount of time.

Basic abilities:

Investment- Passive: Max health increases according to amount of gold carried up to a max. Active: Earnsworth gives money to an allied champion.
In return he gains a big boost to health regeneration for a couple seconds.

Hush money- Passive: Mana regen increases with amount of money being carried up to a max. Active: Earnsworth silences an enemy for a short time.
Charging up this ability silences them for a longer time.
(Applies extortion)

Loaded- For his next basic attack, Earnsworth hits the enemy with his sack of gold,
slowing them and dealing bonus damage based on the amount of gold being carried up to a max.
(Applies extortion)

Ultimate ability: Blind Greed- Earnsworth throws a small bag of gold to a target location. Enemies within its area of effect are drawn towards it.
(Applies extortion) Enemies adjacent to recipient within the amount of time will steal the money from them, dealing reduced damage
(consuming the extort value, then it is applied to them) (Champion death caused by their ally stealing would result in an execution with an assist going to Earnsworth)

Play style I picture the support running in and out of the fray a lot. Harassing the enemy and then dipping back to heal. Running out again, and then getting back. Peeling for the carry and applying extort to minions and enemy champions whenever he can. With more aggressive ADC’s he can apply his silence to the enemy support to reduce risk, and slow to the ADC to set up for a kill for his lane partner.

His passives based on his gold would add a unique dynamic to the game as well. It would alter the scaling of his stats. It would be a steady increase for him instead of a typical “power spike" after returning from base. He would lose some of those stats after spending money but would soon start to regain those stats

His ultimate ability could be used for a myriad of situations. Pulling enemies into a cluster to make AoE spells more effective Making an enemy come under turret fire Peeling off for allies to make an escape or simply for the damage from enemies stealing from each other.

Lore

With his mother sold into slavery by his compulsively gambling father, Byron Earnsworth learned at a very young age that there is only one thing people truly care about. Money. After his father went missing after accumulating a large amount of debt, the young boy wandered the streets of Piltover, which was rather chaotic at the time. He did anything he could to get by, stealing, extorting, odd jobs, and occasionally tying up loose ends for the city’s more prominent crime bosses. Earnsworth soon started to make himself a name.

“Prince of the Underworld” they would call as fresh young man stepped into a ring of people. Fight night, with sticky blood and intense smells were familiar in this underground arena. Earnsworth made his home here, when he wasn’t on the streets. He continued to work for others, but as he grew older he became dissatisfied .Feeling exploited by the Piltover underworld, he set his sights on a bold, new goal.

With an understanding of man’s corrupt nature and insatiable lust for gold, Earnsworth climbed the underground ladder. He shut down his competitors one by one. Those he couldn’t persuade, he beat. Those he couldn’t beat, he hired. Eventually He looked upon an empire, and he was its supreme leader. His dream, however, was short lived, for his circuit of organized crime was soon brought down by the sharp shooting investigator, Caitlyn.

Earnsworth went on hiatus. Zaun was a dirty and corrupt city where he met many like-minded people, but he wouldn’t stay for long. Soon he set his sights on another daring wish. With the money he had left from his pervious endeavors, he has bought his way into the League of Legends. From this international institution ha can start anew. From here he can bribe himself into the courts of faraway lands. From here, where kings and queens gather on the fields of justice, Byron C. Earnsworth will start a new empire… one that stretches across all nations.

“Let’s talk business, shall we?”

Personality There are a few things to get very clear about his personality. One, he is not greedy. His life has shown him what the lust for money does to people. Two he is not a common thief. He is a criminal mastermind, and with his understanding of people’s nature, uses money and greed as a tool to get what he really wants. Respect, Power, and Prestige. Three, he is tough. He has seen some serious stuff in his life and has committed a few atrocities of his own. That paired with growing up being a top contender in underground fight clubs, he is unable to be fazed physically, mentally, or emotionally.

Relations

Friends: Jinx Jinx- the loose cannon serves as a good distraction for him and can help him reach his goal of a global underground syndicate

Twitch Twitch- After meeting him in Zaun they became good friends. Earnswoth admires his unique personality and lack of desire for gold. They share jokes and laugh about the nature of man. Plus it’s easier to pay a partner if all they want is garbage and cheese.

Enemies: Caitlyn Caitlyn- It’s all her fault. Everything Earnsworth had ever worked for was brought down by one person. He is mad at himself for underestimating the woman’s abilities, but will not make the same mistake again. He will be rid of her, once and for all.

Appearance Not quite sure about appearance, but this is what I picture.

I imagine a husky tough-looking man. Brass knuckles on one hand to punch the begezers out of people. The other hand holding onto a rounded burlap moneybag, slung over his shoulder.

This man has a lot of character and it shows in his face more than anything else. Stitches going over his, permanently shut, right eye. A large bent nose dominates his face, complimenting his strong, rounded jaw with a slight under bite .He could have five o’clock shadow, a permanent scowl, and maybe a missing tooth.

Clothing wise, it would have to be something that says “former rugged criminal mastermind of Piltover ”

Skins: Bank heist/ burglar Earnsworth- Black turtleneck black eye mask, black beany, money sign on bag. Fisherman Earnsworth- Yellow hat and rain coat. Money bag is replaced with net full of smelly fish. Kingpin Earnsworth ( to match his buddy Twitch)- pimpin’ Fur coat with fuzzy top hat. Brass knuckles replaced by big jeweled rings. Holiday skin- I think you guys know

Voice When I think of him I hear a deep, gruff cockney accent. Raspy and a tiny bit nasally (like a mix of Snatcher from “Box Trolls” and Murdock from Dragon Age: Origins) Very threatening/intimidating demeanor with hints of sarcasm, and disgust.

When taunting he would set his bag on the ground, open it up, revealing glittering gold coins and motioning with a beckoning hand wave towards himself, then slinging the sack over his shoulder again.

“You want it? Come and get it.” “I’ll turn you into your weight’s worth in gold.”

After applying extortion to an enemy champion “Cough it up!” “I can get nasty if I have to.”

After consuming extortion mark on enemy champion “Thank you for your patronage” “Don’t mind if I did” “It’s for a good cause”

After giving money to an ally with Investment “Now, this isn’t cause I like you or anything” “Don’t disappoint me” “Don’t spend it all in one place”

After silencing an enemy champion with hush money “sssshhhhhh” “Silence is golden” “Don’t worry; it’ll be our little secret”

While tossing out bag of gold for Blind Greed “Here you are.. mongrels” “Let’s see their true nature” “HAHA look at’em go! “Have at it”

This is an elaboration on a champion kit concept I had a while back. Now that We have some lore, and a personality to go with the mechanics, I hope we get some cool feedback. I understand that Earnsworth won’t likely become a champion, but I hope that maybe this will serve as a possible inspiration to RIOT. I would love to see a gold based support in the future, and I feel like the community would too.
Thank you for taking some time to read my concept. Have a wonderful day!

I hate to be the first comment here to just shit all over this concept, but gold gaining cannot be like this. It's absolutely game-breaking and unfair.

Not to mention, he can FEED the enemy team without even dying. I'm sorry, but no.

Have to agree. If you actually just got rid of the gold giving on everything, it'd be pretty decent though. In fact, if you just keep the gold gain on the passive, that'd be good too. A mark that can only be applied every X seconds to an enemy unit that, when consumed, will give a small amount of gold to an ally that sets it off. Kind of like the Spellthief's Edge, but for any ally that sets off the mark. The rest of the abilities can be gold-based, but they can't have gold giving on them.

Could if you didn't give the enemies gold and made your passive the only gold gain. :]

Ok, after a little feed back I have made the change, that he would not be giving gold to enemy champions. abilities are still basically the same, but without gold cost

Your ult is almost like the one I thought of. I'm still working on the champ concept though. It's a thief champ.
