Novraad: The Craven

Attributes: Mage, Fighter, melee

Lore: Doctor Novraad was an esteemed scientist, an expert in medicinal remedies extracted from plants. Obsessed with preserving life, he became curious about the plantlife of the mysterious Shadow Isles, where death and life seem to coincide. First Doctor Novraad moved to Zaun and began his new research. However, the expensive and hard to get plants from the Shadow Isles made his research near impossible. Doctor Novraad decided there was only one thing he can do…move to the Shadow Isles. After living there for just two days, Doctor Novraad classified over three dozen plants no one had even heard of before, but his research came with a cost. Doctor Novraad’s wife, Dehlylah, became unshakably ill. Using every remedy he knew and even applying the knowledge of all the new plantlife he encountered, his wife steadily grew worse until after three months of her weakening she finally died. Grief stricken at his loss the good doctor did the only thing he could with what he had learned from the Shadow Isles. He decided to preserve her body with a potion he concocted. The night after applying the mixture to Dehlylah’s form he awoke to find her swarmed by Kryull; a viscious, batlike creature with an unsatiable taste for flesh. The doctor shooed them away from his wife’s body to find her awake, but not herself. When she attacked him he was forced to destroyed her. The wounds he sustained killed him, but the only memory he retained is that a living man destroyed his wife. Novraad befriended the native Kryuul and swore vengeance against the living.

Abilities Innate: Undying Hunger When Novraad’s abilities deal damage they summon Kryuul, batlike creatures that attack enemies for 2 seconds, dealing damage. Also, Novraad gains 1 life every time he deals ability damage to an enemy (including this one).

Q: Hungering Wave Novraad sends forth a wave of Kryuul in a line that deal damage to the first 3/4/5/6/7 enemies it passes through.

W: Nightcloak Novraad surrounds himself with a number of Kryuul that attack enemies that come within melee range. This can be sustained at a continual cost.

E: Shadow Dash Novraad gains bonus move speed, can move through units, and becomes untargetable, but cannot cast spells or attack for 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds. Nightcloak remains active and damages any enemies he passes near or through

R: Night of the Hunt Novraad calls down a number of Kryuul at the locations of multiple random enemies that last for 6 seconds. Enemies hit by the initial (delayed) impact the area take considerable damage and are slowed, they also continually take damage while in the area.

I really like the idea, however, I think the ult is a little too standard and doesn't synergize with the rest of his abilities. Also, how would you combine Nightcloak with the other abilities? Still, with a little rework I would buy that champion ASAP.

made some changes to emphasize that he is a melee champ.

Ult now initially casts around him and fears instead of blinds and slows

Nightcloak already synergizes with shadow dance in that it allows shadow dance to deal damage instead of just being a high mobility move. Thought about making nightcloak move to or temporarily spawn where hungering wave hits enemy champions, but im still unsure of that.

any more thoughts? suggestions? How's lore?

haven't made any champ concepts in a while I'm looking forward to more feedback ^.^

made more changes.

Innate: changed name from unlife to undying hunger and clarified the intention of how it is supposed to work.

Q: no change W: no change E: no change

R: completely reworked. It no longer creates a large circle centered on Novraad, but has multiple smaller impact sites focused on random enemies. Also, it now deals considerable initial damage and slows instead of fears instead of just periodic damage. Also the impact has a delay so enemy players have a chance to flash, dash or run out of the way. Also, gave it a defined duration so as to amek the battlefield a potential maze for fleeing or zoning enemy heroes.
