[VGU Idea] Fiddlesticks, Fear Incarnate (Patent Pending)
(Obv, the patent pending part is a joke :P)
But the idea for a Fidd VGU is not!
At this point, I don't think I need to really explain why Fiddlesticks is not particularly viable in the current meta. His kit is just plain old, outdated. He was never meant to exist in the kind of playing field in which he now exists.
Anyways, on to the idea!
This is a more control oriented Fiddlesticks, meant to fulfill a similar role to anivia. Lots of AoE overtime damage and crowd control!
Passive: Fear Incarnate- Those within who can see fiddlesticks while he is within their sight range will slowly build up stacks of Fear. As a target gain's Fear, the rate at which they gain fear increases, up to a cap of 200 (or 60ish seconds, starting at 1 stack per second). All of Fiddle's other abilities interact with Fear in some way. If they lose sight of fiddlesticks, or he leaves their sight range, their stacks of fear will drop off at the same rate (Starting out fast at 200, and slowing down to the normal stack rate as they lower). The amount of stacks a person has would be represented visually by a circular "fear bar" at their feet.
Q: Hopelessness- Fiddlesticks channel's briefly, after which he attaches to a target unit. As long as Fiddlesticks stays within the ability's range, he will drain the target for a small, flat amount of damage per second. Fear Incarnate Effect- The amount of damage dealt is increased by a percentage equivalent to the amount of fear on target (should be a lot of damage at full fear).
W: Despair- Once activated, Fiddlesticks begins emitting an aura of despair for a small-ish distance around him (getting larger with levels, up to a moderate sized maximum), that lingers behind him as he walks for up to 3 seconds after the ability ends. Any units caught within the aura of despair will heal Fiddlesticks for a percentage of all damage they take. (The area the aura affects will be denoted by dark outline and the presence of crows) Fear Incarnate Effect- Unit's caught within the aura of despair build Fear at twice the normal rate.
E: Madness- Fiddlesticks inflicts a target unit with a mind-scrambling bout of paranoid madness, causing them walk in a random direction for half a second, stop for another half a second, then turn and walk in another random direction for another half second. (Visually, the target would be getting "mobbed" by a small group of crows) Fear Incarnate Effect- every 40 stacks of Fear adds another stop/walk interval to this ability, for a total of 4 walks and 4 stops at 200 Fear stacks.
R: Harvest- Fiddlesticks channels for 1.5 seconds, then teleports to a target location. For the next 3 seconds, Fiddlesticks will be surrounded by a massive murder of crows, who will circle around him. All enemies within the area will take a large amount of damage every second. Fear Incarnate Effect- Upon arrival, all who would be affected by Fear Incarnate (IE can see him and are within sight range) immediately gain 100 stacks of Fear.
So, what do yall think? I aint so sure myself if it would be any good. Alot of his power comes from those fear stacks but it takes awhile to build em, which is why I made the ult immediately start people off at 100, so fiddle at least has somethin to go on (and benefits him greatly if he can position himself pre-fight to get 100 stacks on people beforehand, so that he hits max stacks when he ults). He'd have alot of laning power, though.
I didn't put any damage numbers on, because if I did it'd end up either really broken or really not broke. So I just used quantitative adjectives to give a general sense of how much damage each thing should roughly pump out.
