Void Champ inspired by Darkin War, Name Pending

My champ idea is conceptually a combination of Hakument (I am the white void, or in this case purple) and the living weapon of Soul Calibur, Soul Edge.

Essentially, the champ concept is a void organism/lifeform that survived the Darkin vs Void War. The trope humanity is infectious is the base for what this champ is.

The champ fought against the Darkin and similar to Khazix and Velkoz it grows through adaption / evolving, unlike the previous two it learnt through observational analysis. In this case, it observed the Darkin being lead by aatrox and in turn how nobly he carried himself and lead the Darkin.

Anyway, that's all just concept filler.

In terms of visuals, this is the general idea I had going

The toothy sword with dark organic armour is what I personally like.

Moving on, the champ could be a void entity that sides with the world of Runeterra in a detached preservation sense. The void seems to consume life entirely; twisting it. This champ fights against that sort of corruption of the world or w.e, the lore specifics aren't that important in this particular case. The main concept is a void entity that learnt how 2 human largely because it grew to appreciate, in it's own alien way, the nobility of Aatrox and the ideals of the original Darkin / Ascended. Since it is still an alien life form, perhaps it interpreted what it observed in a way that doesn't quite hit the mark.

Visually, I'd imagine that the void entity has formed itself a humanoid yet monstrous face underneath it's own (still part of it's body) organic exoskeletal helm. The face underneath the helm would look humanoid monstrous, similar to Kha'Zix's face as it is humanoid and clearly insectoid, perhaps more on the monstrous humanoid such as Marvel's Ultimate Venom but with more jagged edges and smoothly armoured like the underbelly scales of a reptile. Perhaps even cord-like hair, similar to Sarah Kerrigan's Zerg Dreadlock thing, but short haired with more of a thin tendrily hair aesthetic.

The key visual elements of the void entity should be the toothy living blade (the blade is a part of it's body, it is not the blade itself) remember, it observed the Darkin from the War all the way to their ruination and devolution into what is now the Darkin, with a particular interest in Aatrox as the once noble leader of the Darkin. The second key element is the helmet / organic armour. Kaisa could have had this aesthetic done properly, but instead she has a sexy symbiote thing going on. I don't want sexy, I want armoured exoskeletal void entity. Perhaps smoothly armoured like Berserker Armour Guts. Lastly, there should be some tendrils (either in idle animations or w.e) as this void entity evolved differently (not by design more by...enlightenment? Observation? A sense of personal appeal to it's own burgeoning tastes?)

Finally, we get to the actual kit. In all fairness, this was a secondary thought when compared to the concept.

Passive: Name Pending, Toothy teeth :^) This is a Melee Champ btw

  • Secondary resource bar, Teeth or w.e u wanna call em, essentially bone / keratin fragments that resemble spikes/pointy teeth
  • stacks gained by killing minions, champs, waiting X duration ( they generate on a timer), or by using certain abilities
  • Stacks are dislodged into foes on certain abilities that can be triggered later on by other parts of the kit.
  • lore flair is the fragments still being under the control of Mr. Void Entity and thus they seek to rejoin the whole (explanation for what triggers the bonus effects)

  • on tap, quickly thrusts multi tendrils in a skewering motion, dealing dmg and applying a minor slow
  • On charge, fires off tendrils in a forward spiraling ground motion similar to this
  • The charged version will not apply a slow, it will instead ground the target if they get hit by the entirety of the tendril spiral

  • Tap to slam sword/arm in a line, dealing initial dmg while leaving tooth fragments into the ground (sorta like an organic landmine)
  • Hold W to expend any generated tooth charges into the ground to prep X position ( spiral pattern) with organic toothy landmines/
  • Qing within this area will detonate the bone shards (yay teeth shrapnel) dealing dmg and applying Q's slow in a wider area while also applying a DoT (fluf wise, it's cause you're bleeding)

  • Hold to yoink all ground targeted teeth back into Void Entity, Tap to expend all generated teeth fragments in forward toothy dash that applies some minor initial damage and an increasing DOT based on the amount of teeth you generated, let's say max is 6 = strongest DOT while also applying an adaptive shred to their highest defence (armour > mr = armour shred / Mr > armour = Mr shred)
  • Skillshot ofc, upon casting this ability, you expend all teeth charges, weaken yourself (lose some hp, not a LOT but a solid value) and gain half your expended teeth if you hit with the ability. The Health cost is not refunded on it, but teeth partially are.

R: Monstery ult

  • On cast, transforms into more overtly monstrous form, befitting a void entity that is a monster playing the part of a noble warrior
  • Stat wise, instantly generate 6 teeth, increased teeth gen for duration, gain buffed abilities and altered moveset
  • If ult isn't on, Void entity plays at a mid range distance trying to poke/detonate teeth in mid-close range
  • Ult on, embrace full Dot Lord Melee, applying Dots on everything while gaining buffs that incentivize getting up close to chop n shop
  • Buffs are as follows
  • Q Tap: Swings Tendrils and sword/arm in forward cone, cleaving all units for moderate dmg and applying a DOT
  • Q Charge: Fire several tendrils/teeth, (thin skillshot), if it hits, enemy is yoinked to you like a blitz hook. Applies a minor bleed (reverse gapcloser)
  • W tap: fire teeth fragments directly at cursor (skillshot) dealing no upfront dmg while applying a shredding DOT in an AOE (teeth fragments detonate which is AOE)
  • W Charge: Charges teeth for up to 2 seconds, then fires them in a 360 aoe around caster, pushes enemies back by a smidge, think maokai Q's knockback. Deals low dmg, exists primarily as minor self peel
  • E charge: consumes all teeth generated (or expended on ground as organic landmine, this pulls them back to you without detonating) to regenerate HP over time, 6 teeth = a phat HoT, intended to be sustain in between skirmishes
  • R is a 30 second CD or so, intended to be a lightly transforming champ, ult is meant to be an "I'm hard engaging now" tool, it does not grant bonus hp or anything that buffs tankiness. IT's more like a Change in your gameplan for when your foe is too mobile to safely poke away at them. Also gives minor power fantasy of being an inhuman monster, think Resident Evil 2's Dr. Birkin's 3/4th form where he's just a completely monstrous organism.

Abilities and what not could be swapped as the kit was a secondary thought compared to the concept. I'd appreciate any and all feedback or improvement ideas. Thank you for spending time to read this concept.

For a character based around trying to reach a noble warrior archetype, there are few warrior moves compared to monster moves, with the exception of W. Maybe replace the Ult with a temporary less monstrous warrior state - and since the character is inspired by hakumen and wants to defy the corruptive powers of the void, perhaps an ability fluffed ad preventing unwanted alterations -- the darkin might have wanted that -- something like a flat immunity to status (charmed, stunned, slowed, dots) in exchange for some kind of depower, like losing access to the teeth mechanic.__
