Bornex, the Manipulator
Hey guys! So, as a LeBlanc main, I feel that the Black Rose has been largely unexplored in terms of champion design. Maybe it's like that on purpose, I don't know. So here's my idea for a Champion named Bornex, who unlike LeBlanc, focuses more on killing through manipulation of the enemy, such as turning people against each other.
Lore: As a child, Vincent Bornex was largely ignored by his parents. His father, Rex, was a high ranking Commander of the Noxian Army, and was often out in the battlefields fighting Demacia, while his mother, Julia was a servant of the Noxian leadership. When Vincent was 7, it was revealed to Noxus that Julia had been delivering maps of Noxian positions to Demacia. After hearing about this, the Noxian Government sentenced Julia to death, by the axe of Draven. Infuriated by her actions and humiliating execution, Rex would often take out his rage on the defenceless Vincent. This went on for years. When Vincent was 11, unable to take any more of his father's beatings, he started studying the dark magics in secret, hidden away in a makeshift library under the floorboards of his house. He acquired many tomes from an old lady in an alley, and he learned the many secrets of manipulation. This old lady was strangely interested in Vincent's dealings with magic, and would only refer to herself as Evaine. When Vincent was 15, he felt that the time had come. Vincent came to his father's room in the late hours of the night. Often, Rex hated visitors at night, and before he could attack Vincent, he suddenly felt his body weighing down on him, and his rage turned to anguish. The next day, Vincent found Rex with his own Battle-axe stuck into his own head. Vincent was overcome with emotion. Not sadness, but joy. This continued for a few moments, until the reality of what he had done sunk in. Vincent realised that now, more than ever, he was alone. He was helpless. Vincent sat down, and with his face buried in his arms, he weeped. Then, as if someone was there, he felt an arm hold on to his shoulder. When Vincent looked up, there she was. The old lady, Evaine. He was shocked. Then, she spoke, "I know, child. This is a bit of a peculiar sight. I'm not just a dealer of forbidden tomes, it's why they call me the Deceiver. Please come with me. I can teach you more about the Dark Arts." Vincent nodded, and decided to go with Evaine. Before they left, she asked, "I'm afraid I haven't asked you this yet, but what is your name?". Vincent knew he wasn't the same person he was 8 years ago, and that he would never be the same again, so he replied, "Bornex." Thus, Vincent Bornex became known as the Manipulator, and was a faithful servant of the Black Rose for several scores of years.
Class: Assassin/Mage (Ranged)
Abilities:
Passive: Every time Bornex uses an ability, he gains a stack of Anguish. When he gets 5 stacks, his next basic attack will fear the target for 1.5s.
Q: Suicidal Thoughts (Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7)
Bornex inflicts the target with Suicidal Thoughts for 2/2.5/2/75/3/3.5 seconds, dealing 10/25/30/35/50 (40% AP) Magic Damage every 0.5 seconds.
W: Frenzy (Cooldown: 25/22/18/15/13)
Bornex throws out a bolt (skillshot), that collides with the first enemy hit. If an enemy is hit, a shield for 40/50/55/60/70 (30% AP) health appears, and the enemy attacks other nearby enemies for 5 seconds. Only other enemies can attack the shield. If they shield is dispelled during Frenzy's duration, the effect ends. Minions will automatically target the afflicted enemy. Enemies afflicted can only use basic attacks.
E: Spell Steal (Cooldown: 20)
Bornex targets an enemy, and is able to copy one of their Basic Abilities for one usage, dealing 10% more damage.
R: Mind Control (Cooldown: 150/120/80)
Bornex channels for 4/5/6 seconds, and takes over control of the target enemy. During the channel, he has complete control over the enemy and can attack other enemies with basic abilities and spells. However, Bornex is susceptible to enemy attacks, takes 5% more damage, and passively (During the channel) loses 2% of his maximum health every 1s.
